"I can tell you they really work. I have a mold allergy, and mold is literally everywhere in outdoor or indoor air with spores just waiting to land in a suitable environment for growth, but I have no symptoms at home with my two small Winix."
"this thing has been amazing!!! ... I have two kids with seasonal allergies and this thing has been amazing!!!"
"It wasn't until I upgraded to 2 winix machines that I finally got relief and it was instant."

"The HP10 will last 1-5 months. ... The new motor assembly is comically terrible on the new fans. ... They will develop an unbearable grinding/screeching sound."
"Dyson air purifiers just aren't good... Not for particles or VOCs ... The Dyson has a much lower clean air delivery rate, about a sixth of the cheaper machine, so it just handles a lot less air. ... The Dyson is able to clean the air in my room about 2 times per hour, vs 11 times on my new machine. ... the Dyson only has a clean air delivery rate of around 160, which is extremely low for its price range (for the price they tend to be at around 400-600), and it only has 150 grams of carbon. These are the specs of a low end machine. Similar to what you will get with a machine that's about $100. ... The real issue here is that the Dyson has a smaller and less powerful fan, smaller filter, and sirculates less air. It cleans the air in my room 5 times per hour, while the cheaper one cleans it 11 times per hour. ... they continue to show a performance equal to low midrange purifiers... Purifies that are half the price. ... They are under powered air purifiers. They have the same air purifying performance as machines about one third of the price."

Oh, fuck no. As an owner of four of these things, they’re some of my most regretted purchases. They have a laughably low CFM, are stupid loud on even medium speeds, develop squeaky bearings within months, the filters are expensive as shit, and the software sucks. Seriously, do not buy one of these. Edit: I have two TP07s, an HP04, and an HP09. They all suck equally.
r/AirQuality • What air purifier is the good/best to get for BEDROOM in today's market? ->Its great that Dyson is able to combine all these feature into one product but it doesn’t do the best job with air purification. Had a tower fan with air purification and the sensor failed in 9 months. Instead of replacing the sensor, the service center determined that it is easier to give us a replacement unit but only honor the original one year warranty.
r/dyson • Are the Dyson air purifier/heater/fans worth it? ->Dyson customer service is crap. I bought the hot and cold one. From the box, it wouldn't track the pollutants in the air when i paired it to my app. I thought since it was a new pairing, i needed to give it a couple days for a reading. I forgot about it. A couple of weeks go by and my wife reminds me that there's still no reading. So I called customer support. We tried trouble shooting it. No go. Then we had a video call and did more trouble shooting. Nada. Then they said I could pay to send it in and they'd take a look at it. I said "over my dead body, it's 2 weeks old!" Then they said they'd pay for shipping. At this point, I was pissed. I said I wanted them to send me a new one and I would send it back. They said no can do. I ended up contacting Amazon and getting a full refund. Yeah, screw Dyson.
r/dyson • Advice - is this worth it? ->i splurged and got the dyson air purifier that also works as a fan and space heater. personally, it was well worth the investment. i'm able to monitor the air quality, humidify and temperature in my home through an app.
r/TwinCities • Air Purifiers Worth it? ->Yes I have two and sold a third. I also have a Molekule but prefer the Dyson especially since it’s easy to transport when I travel and the remote comes in handy to not have to use WiFi when traveling. The fact it has heat and cool too just make it a win win!
r/dyson • Advice - is this worth it? ->I have a hot/cold Dyson that runs daily. I got it in 2020 and if my house were on fire, I would save my fan!
r/Costco • Need Help Choosing an Air Purifier from Costco—Totally Lost Here! ->I feel for you, OP. I am an allergic-to-everything person to the point that I've needed to move homes to get away from paint, varnished wood, carpet, etc. The biggest trigger for me, though, and maybe for you is any centralized heating and cooling system. The systems' filters don't matter - the room's unfiltered air is also being blown in your face. I haven't found a purifier that can offset this problem. I don't use ACs and all my heat is water-based or electric. I experimented with Dyson - if it's the model that provides heating or cooling, there is a chemical in the device that can cause reactions. You can also be sensitive to the material in any carbon filter, like coal. The imperfect journey continues, but I ended up getting a custom purifer from Aller Air and I use it in the same room as a Coway HEPA. One for gas and chemicals, one for particulates. It still doesn't save me completely from my dusty old building, but I can now be confident that it's the only issue. Good luck!
r/AirPurifiers • Best HEPA air purifier for home? No ->Been using hot+cool since a few years and it makes my room so warm and toasty in winters.
r/delhi • Why So may negative reviews around Dyson? ->I changed my filter after 2 years so I don’t agree with this. The technician just cleaned it and told me it isn’t as bad and I should continue using it.
r/delhi • Why So may negative reviews around Dyson? ->It’s not necessary unless you have bad allergies or if there is smoke from some huge fire (knock on wood). I have Dyson combo fan/heaters with air purifier, so it’s automatically working when I use them.
r/Sacramento • How many of us use air purifiers in the home? ->I have a Dyson, BlueAir, and Levoit in various areas of the house. Levoit is near the litter box and is loud but does a good job - we never smell the litter box. Our favorite is the BlueAir in our bedroom - we keep it on auto mode 24/7. It’s super quiet and seems to work well. The Dyson is our most expensive one and we would probably not buy again. We like that it’s also a fan when it’s warm, but it doesn’t perform any better than the BlueAir which was a fraction of the cost.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Are air purifiers worth buying for pets? Which options would be the best you've tried? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
