Yes, an air purifier helps. The best brand is Honeywell with a HEPA filter. Second is Bionaire with True HEPA filter (purple one), third is Bionaire with the blue filter. Levoit kind of sucks. Don't waste your money on the Pure Enrichment Personal Air Purifier.
r/saskatoon • Air purifier ->Honeywell Hepa Air Purifier is amazing all the time especially post fire. It's saved me.
r/AirPurifiers • Air Doctor, Winix, Coway, Levoit, Wellis Air ->Honeywell HEPA. Don't buy an electrostatic/ionizer type "purifier" as it creates O³ (ozone) - which is hazardous (and is also a component of smog).
r/ottawa • Please try to protect yourself from the smoky air ->We have a 2 story house and on the main floor we’ve been through 3 high priced super duper fancy ones since 2020. They stop running, start making noise, we can’t find filters, it’s always something. Upstairs we have an inexpensive old fashioned black box (Allergen Plus) from Honeywell that just won’t quit. Get the ugly one from Honeywell.
r/TwinCities • Any recommendations for a good and affordable HEPA filter? ->Honeywell HEPA is what I’ve used for decades. Reliable and easy to find their filters.
r/Home • Your top choices when it comes to the best Home Air Purifiers? ->You can get a HEPA filter air purifier (Honeywell makes decent ones) to deal with PLA and TPU, they dont emit the toxic VOCs like ABS, Nylon and PC, but they do still emit fine particles. Having it enclosed like you do is going to prevent a lot of those fine particles from scattering through the room though so its a big help. As a rule I try to not have my printers in the same room I work, but if you must, that HEPA filter will help reduce the fine particles a lot. For the more toxic materials, absolute best bet is to create a negative air pressure environment while venting outside through a window or port. If you cant or want even more reassurance, running a carbon filter does a lot to help. There are specialized air purifiers for VOCs but theyre not cheap. A really good one you can get is from Heygears, called the GreenPrint Purification Unit. Just know it's specifically for VOCs as it doesn't trap particles, it destroys them (so you still want a HEPA for the fine particles). This air purifier doesnt need filters though, it doesnt trap VOCs like a carbon filter which can become saturated and need replacements. It actively breaks down VOCs, so it just runs indefinitely with full efficiency, no need to swap filters.
r/3Dprinting • Need guidance on air purification ->I have 2 Coway AirMega 400 and 2 Honeywell HPA200s covering 1500 sq ft. I have one of the Coways in my bedroom of around 350 sq ft. Normally on 3-4 turning it down to speed 2 at night.
r/AirPurifiers • Best purifier to cover at least 2000 sqft ->Honeywell HEPA air purifiers. I have two: one in bedroom and one in the room where I spend most of my time watching TV, etc. Makes a difference for me.
r/homeowners • For those who suffer from allergies, which air purifier really works well in your opinion? ->Having my HVAC professionally cleaned and setting a reminder to change furnace filters regularly has helped me a lot. When my house was really bad I used the big Honeywell h300 or w/e it's called and it's been a really good machine. Two Honeywell H200's would probably do a better job. You need to keep fresh filters in them or they can make things worse, I think. I also have a Winix 500-2, it's okay but I wouldn't buy it again. I really wish they would put the charcoal layer behind the hepa since they're for smell anyway. I do like the washable pre filter. My house has an exhaust fan on the wall which I run occasionally which is nice to exchange all the air in the house. I run that while I wet mop/swiffer and clean/dust the house.
r/ToxicMoldExposure • Air purifiers you swear by? ->I have these, as well, and they’re great. The cheap after-market filters from Amazon work perfectly for them, too.
r/TwinCities • Air Purifiers Worth it? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
