I haven’t read through this subreddit in a while so I’m not sure how others feel about this one but I am a huge fan of the Honeywell doctors choice line. We just picked up a bunch more on clearance at Walmart. I’ve had two of mine since early 2020 and they work without issue. I like that the different size purifiers all take the same size filter and the filters have not changed in quality or been discontinued since 2020. I can consistently find the filter replacements in store at my local Walmart or Home Depot (since I’m not a fan of buying off Amazon) which is also a huge positive for me. We live in the desert and my husband is very allergic to the desert so having these filters work very well for his allergies. I also keep a small one in the kitchen to get the smell of food out of the room.
Honeywell HPA5200. They were on clearance for $120
Im doing good with Honeywell insight (largest size up to 500 sf). The filters arent cheap to replace but are HEPA & widely available. The only thing I don t like is you cant open it up to clean the vents.
They're not the quietest* of all available options nor the cheapest but every one of my Honeywell devices has worked very well with daily use for 5+ years. I bought them on sale, watch for filter sales online (I buy the Honeywell brand as I haven't found good testing data for knock offs) and I have no regrets. Models I use: Honeywell Insight in Medium-Large (x2) and Large-Extra Large (x1). * They do run quietly on lower settings but I generally use the higher two settings.

I’ve tried a few and the germ guardians are the best bang/buck. The big Honeywell ones if you have to do a BIG space. We have a Dyson and I don’t love it.
Mine is a Honeywell. Because I know I'll be able to continue to get filters (even if I do buy off brand ones, bc theirs are SO expensive). Standard filters is the way. The A+ prefilter is better than the standard softer A style, but both are good at catching cat hair (I vacuum it off regularly)
Honeywell makes standard styles/sizes (mine uses two R filters) and other companies use the same system so it's easy. You can also search by model number (ex hpa 200) These are what I bought last time: https://ebay.io/m/JRqZjg
Yes. I have Honeywell HEPA units in multiple houses. 24/7.
