Your first start should be to test the air inside the car when driving with a decent air quality sensor. i use a Qingping airmonitor 2 but there are definitely better devices out there that test for smaller particles. Maybe the Dylos or other units i dont own them so i cant verify. If its too high you should upgrade the cabinfilter/interior filter first. on my Hyundai i30 the original Hyundai filter did virtually nothing to reduce pm2.5 or VOC it let it all through the filter is just too thin. it let 60-80pm 2.5 through all the time. when that was the outside air quality. Upgrading is for a Bosch pro series gave me 6 pm2.5 inside immediately. A purifier like the units you mention above can improve upon that and remove more voc and microparticles in your breathing zone. But it wont out produce a quality cabin filter. My atem air car unit struggled to get the pm2.5 below 25-30pm when it was 50-60+pm outside during driving with the original Hyundai Interior filter to give you an idea. It can do upto 39CFM but medium/low is more likely the setting you will be using most of the time.

We've leveraged hyperhepa by [IQAir ](https://www.iqair.com/us/products/air-purifiers/healthpro-plus) for the last 10-15 years, ours are still going strong through allergy season, wildfires, and even kept my husband from catching COVID two of the times that I had it. They're hospital grade quality, don't produce ozone, and filter VOCs and extremely fine particulate. I bought the small portable Atem and travel with it for vacation and work for my allergies and use it at my desk for work too. We're big fans of the quality and the results (I run indoor air monitors for check and balances)

Have a GSD and a Lab/GSD mix so I can feel your pain :). Are you looking to purify just one space in the house or multiple spaces? That should be a factor in your decision. FWIW, we have a Shark NeverChage, a Winix C-610, and an IQAir Atem in our living/kitchen space of about 1400 sq ft. Shark runs 24/7 and sits closer to kitchen. Winix sits next to GSD crate and runs on Turbo mode for 2-3 hours daily. IQAir sits behind the couch, next to other crate, and runs as needed. Those 3 work together to keep our air best and free of pet odors.

Wow, I didn’t know!! Thank you for explaining that. Costco had a good deal for shark air purifier and I was considering it. I have one IQ Air but their customer service hasn’t been great and the machine is really bulky, old fashioned with a hefty price tag. I was attracted to cheaper options but I’d get what I paid for it sounds like.

I've been running two IQ Air units for over 20 years and have been satisfied with performance and durability.

IQ Air removes odors, but it's very expensive.

The best I ever owned was an IQ AIR. It cleaned the filthiest air in China for me 20 years ago. It is also built like a tank. I have used it in 3 countries and had it for ~20 years with no issues. You just have to keep it clean and replace the filters at the recommended intervals.
