I love my IQAir HealthPro Series Air Purifier. Filters are available on Amazon. Compare the specs with other brands.
Thanks everyone! I ended up getting the IQ Air Health Pro Series. Also picked up two smaller units. I can say 100% we are elated with results. My son although allergic to puppy this has made our lives manageable and my son barely has any reactions. We are still getting allergy shots beginning next month because the allergist recommends with all other allergies he has. My house has never felt better!
IqAir, Austin, Levoit They are all running right now at home. Visitors often tell me the house smells very clean and pure. I have a Levoit 300 by the front door. Levoit 600 in the living room. Austin on the kitchen counter in the corner by the stove. An IqAir in my master. A Levoit 300 in another bedroom. MPR 300 filters for my HVAC.
IqAir It’s not “smart”. But I don’t need it to have WiFi or smart features. I need it to cleanse the air. I have a Levoit in my living room and the only thing that is neat is telling Siri to turn it to 100% or back down to 50%. The IqAir sits in my master bedroom. It smells clean and crisp in the bedroom!
Everyone's different but I tried three different purifiers, including one of the highest rated that cost me almost £1000 and they only made my allergies to my dog worse. I hoover, dust and wipe surfaces daily and while they capture most of the particulate, It's like they suck everything up and blow it all back out into the air around you which may flare things up as it did for me. Hopefully you don't have the same issue but keep that in mind.
An Iq air healthpro. I've also had a smart air blast mk 2 and the levoit 300s 400s and 600s.
The big IQ air they have in hospitals. Cost a fortune but you can't beat it
I’ve had air purifiers around my reptiles for a few years and I’ve had no problems. Air purifiers just clean things from the air and make it cleaner so I don’t think there’s much risk for reptiles? I’d wait for other replies to see what other people have found. The ones I use are Honeywell and the HealthPro, given I use them for health reasons and not for my pets. But I’ve never had any problems
It's expensive, but for the last decade we've used IQAir healthpro with hyperhepa, no ozone and they're hospital grade. I have an air quality monitor to check and it absolutely works since we have cats, carpet, and live near pollution. It's kept my husband from getting covid twice while I had it.
I run a small dog boarding business out of my home and the dust and dander that the extra dogs added was mind boggling. I tried a couple of smaller air purifiers first (I think they were Honeywell brand) and although they certainly picked up a lot of dust in the filters it just wasn't making a big impact on the overall dust in the house. So then I got a couple of bigger more robust Idylis air purifiers from Lowe's and those actually did work well enough that I noticed a reduction in the dust in the house. One of them quit working within a year however the other one is still going strong almost 8 years later. But then I got lucky and a friend offered me his IQAir Health Pro purifier when he no longer needed it and that one has made the most amazing difference in the entire house (my house is small though at 1100 square ft ). It filters out dust, dander and odors amazingly well. The filters are pretty pricey though. It is a 3 filter system and if you buy all 3 together they are about $200. But I do run the air purifier all day every day and a full set of filters last about 1.5 - 2 years for me. I highly recommend the brand.
If cost isn’t an issue, look at IQ Air Health Pro. Works great! EDIT : I just noticed the budget constraint. This costs around 1000 dollars.
I've had an IQAir Health Pro running non-stop for about 15 years now, and the only maintenance performed were regular filter changes. It's big and the filters can get expensive, so every couple years I'll sniff around for alternatives, but I haven't found anything better thus far.
