Anything that doesn't use UV purification, as that creates ozone which is bad for all pets. This is the one we use, and we have multiple pet species. https://a.co/d/0biM8p0W There are cheaper options, though, such as this one for $40 https://a.co/d/0fAxsXmg

\+1 for Levoit. Haven't had a single problem and we have 3 of them.

Did you make the “IKEA enclosure” or did it come with the printer? Some of them come with ventilation w/ filters. Despite my recent post about my makeshift printer purifier, FDM is (relatively) very safe. At least compared to resin printing. I print both PLA and PETG and haven’t had any issues. I don’t have an enclosure. The only material I’d avoid is ABS without proper ventilation. With your enclosure any airborne sediment is going to either collect on the inner walls or fall back down. It’s unlikely that any significant amount of VOCs will go beyond that. People here will most likely say, “that budget is too low for anything meaningful to protect against VOCs.” But, I’d say if you’re really worried about it and want something for peace of mind (knowing that it’s an imperfect solution) you can look at the Levoit core 200, Coway Airmega 100, or other SFF purifiers. Their CADR is pretty low and they have only a little bit of carbon, but it would at least be something. The reality is smaller / more economical purifiers are going to be limited with their performance. And that removing VOCs requires (large amounts) of carbon, you’re in a tight spot. However, unless you have existing medical conditions or are incredibly sensitive to air pollutants the risk factor is pretty low. I’d personally either: 1. just rely on the enclosure. 2. Create a makeshift vent with a PC fan + carbon sheet 3. Add a small purifier as close to the enclosure as possible.

I have a ~700 square foot 1 bedroom for me, my spouse, and our kid… just adopted two kittens and have 3 litter boxes (reluctantly) — one in bedroom, one in hallway, and one in living room. All stainless steel. If you don’t already have steel boxes then make the switch now! We also use the new Okocat Multi-cat Litter with plant-based odor block (dark green bag available on Chewy!). We have a Windmill purifier, Levoit 200S Core, and another Windmill purifier respectively in those areas. I’m allergic to dust mites and dander but also wanted to eliminate the pet smells in general. I swear on my family the smell has gone away running the units 24/7 and toggling between high/low/sleep/eco modes. Our kittens LOVE taking a dump in the bedroom litter box right as we decide to go to bed 😤🤣 and last night I reached over to put the Windmill unit on Boost mode. The scent discipated within a minute!

For a small room that just has a bit of a smell, you don't need anything crazy. Look for something with **activated carbon,** that's what actually pulls odors out. HEPA alone won't do much for smells. Winix 5500-2 is solid if you can find it. Has a carbon pellet filter (lasts longer than the cheap mesh stuff). Levoit Core 200S is another good one, smaller, quieter, gets the job done. Just run it on low 24/7 and change the carbon filter every few months. Should sort out the smell without breaking the bank.

I just got the levoit 200s p for my room thats about the same size and so far, its working well. You wont need more than the second setting and when the kids are at school, you can do a timed 4th setting to really clean the air.

I keep my levoit on level 3 and when I brush my cats in my room with my hands, I do see the fur traveling to it so as long as the fur is airborne. I hate that people say vacuum, im not running it every day I want to do other stuff than just clean. And my consoles are basically dust free too now. Just did a 6 month clean on my ps5 and very little cat fur was in it.

I ran the vacuum every day. Sure sid good for stuff already on the grown but would still blow everything in the air around. And it really helps for cat litter dust too. I actually find im dusting less since buying one for my room

I have two: the Levoit Vital 200S and the Core 200S. I appreciate the ability to track the air quality level over time. I can control the APs remotely. Sometimes (when I'm cooking or doing a lot of laundry, for example), the air purifier notifies me that the air quality has dropped suddenly, so I tell Alexa to turn on my air purifier.  I could also tell it to stay on for a specific duration or set the air purifier to turn on automatically if poor air quality is detected. There are a lot of configuration options through the app, and I like being able to control devices remotely, even when I'm not home.  When maintenance workers visited our apartment building to fix the stairs, they poured concrete and did some welding. I was at work and got a notification that the air quality had dropped, so I ran the air purifier until it indicated that it was good again. My neighbor upstairs burned something and I got a notification... It's not indispensable technology, but I like having it.

I have equivalent models in both. The Levoit gets louder and loses effectiveness after a while such that I'm not sure it's really even filtering anything anymore. My older Winix is functioning just fine.
