I have a Levoit air purifier, specifically the Core 300. It’s $99, works well, and is nice & quiet. They sell a filter that goes with it made for “pet allergies” specifically, it’s $36 and is described to absorb pet odors and alleviate allergies! I don’t have this, I’m just using the filter it came with for now but I’ll probably consider buying it when the time for replacement comes. The regular filter in the system is still great for dust/pollen/pet dander/etc.
r/Rabbits • Air purifier ->I’ve been using Levoit core 300s for years now. Used them back in the states and bought more when I moved here for the same purpose of heavy pet dander and allergens. They have never let me down and are cheaper than what I saw sharp offered. So maybe give them a consideration!
r/japanlife • Looking for a Good Air Purifier ->We have a couple of these and are very happy. The filters are costly but that seems to be the case with any of the brands I researched before choosing these. Levoit Core® 300S Smart Air Purifier
r/homeassistant • Best Air purifier in 2025? ->2 air purifiers are better than one. For living levoit core 300s and for bedroom core 200s.
r/AirPurifiers • What size air purifier (or if 2 are needed) would you recommend for this space ? ->I’ve been running a Levoit Core 300 in my little one’s room and it’s made a noticeable difference.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • What are the Best Air Purifier for Allergies? ->Using levoit 300s for a month. Covers an area of 300-400 sq fr. Loving the tech. It takes some time to understand the clean air difference vs outside. Bought it for 349 AED during the sale. Now price has gone up. If not super urgent, wait for 12-15 days when the EID sale starts on noon/amazon. r/dubai • Best Room Air Purifier available in UAE ->avoid any levoit for obvious reasons
r/AirPurifiers • What Air Purifier Do You Recommend for Asthma? ->That's great to hear, you have the good levoit model people usually opt for the 200 or 300. I can tell you from personal expeiernce when I was suffering from dog allergies, I bought 2 levoit core 300's and they didnt make a lick of a difference. It wasn't until I upgraded to 2 winix machines that I finally got relief and it was instant.
r/AirPurifiers • What Air Purifier Do You Recommend for Asthma? ->I recently switched from a core 300 in my small bedroom to a winix.. world of a difference, I'm pretty upset I drank the Levoit kool-aid juice.
r/AirPurifiers • What air purifier are you using in your bedroom? ->I have the levoit core 300s (I think that’s the name) and I love it. It displays the current air quality which is fascinating to see how different things affect it and it shows that it’s really working. The buttons are also easy to interpret. I also have a smaller bluair one for our bedroom and I do not like it at all.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • What are the best air purifiers for home to enhance indoor air quality currently? ->Same. Have 2 now. No complaints.
r/japanlife • Looking for a Good Air Purifier ->As others have pointed out you really don't need to worry about HEPA filters. Xiaomi & Levoit are two of your best options for SEA. I actually live in the Philippines at the moment. I have a Xiaomi 4 pro which I'm really happy with, probably a bit too big for your space but any Xiaomi would be good. I've also got a Levoit Core 300. Xiaomi seem to be better value for money than Levoit in Asia and the replacement filters are cheaper too.
r/AirPurifiers • Purifier for dust mites in south east asia? ->Second these. I have a couple 300 and some 200 in my kids rooms. I love them
r/homeassistant • Best Air purifier in 2025? ->The Levoit Core 300S, for example, is 24/35/40/50 dB on Sleep/1/2/3/4 but the CADR on sleep is only 56 m^3 / hr. To achieve your desired noise levels you would have to run most units on sleep or low, which barely moves any air at all. r/AirPurifiers • AirPurifier Philips vs Levoit vs Ikea? ->Sounds like you have reasonable expectations 😉 One ACH + pointing directly at your face while sleeping. To maximize the benefit to you while sleeping I would recommend a forward blowing/directional unit on a table (so not the Levoit or Philips which blow upwards). With that configuration, air changes per hour matter far less.
r/AirPurifiers • AirPurifier Philips vs Levoit vs Ikea? ->For your purposes, the core 300s is perfectly fine, you’ll just need to replace the filters every two months or so. Vaping is murder on filters. I don’t think you’ll find a combination with a lower total cost of ownership.
r/AirPurifiers • Recommendations for air purifier with washable filters? ->I have this same one and love it. My Grey produces a ton of dust and this is a must have in my house
r/parrots • Is air purifier bad for birds?? ->Levoit is a pretty good brand. I think you’ll be fine with that model
r/parrots • Is air purifier bad for birds?? ->It looks fine to me. I don’t see ionizing on it
r/parrots • Is air purifier bad for birds?? ->i like that the official replacement filters have holes in the plastic wrap (packaging) so they're already offgassed for the most part. for the core300 anyway
r/MCAS • Best air purifier ->I regularly monitor air quality in my room with separate detector and runnin Levoit Air Purifier. So far what I noticed: Air quality inside my room (house) really correlates with AQ outside even when doors/windows are closed Running air purifier does help to some extent but only when you also close all doors (indoor doors as well!) and of course windows. I noticed roughly 50-90% better AQ in my room when running purifier vs not running it. Effectiveness is largely affected by keeping all doors closed like I mentioned. Automatic mode on my air purified is garbage and always keeps it running low, so I run in on medium/high mode. Only during night I switch to low usually.
r/Bangkok • Air Purifier for PM 2.5? ->Is levoit that bad ? Have three of them. Seemingly doing a good job. But I’m new to the air purifier life.
r/BuyItForLife • The Best Air Purifiers? ->I have one levoit core 300 I think it is In each bedroom. And a levoit pet in the living room. The sensors I don’t trust fully but they do show an increase in particulates on days that are bad aqi days.. So I feel like they are somewhat accurate. Can’t speak to how well they actually clean the air but I feel like they help. I’d definitely get a couple purifiers for piece of mind. They won’t hurt
r/dubai • Air Quality in Our Buildings, Anyone using Air purifier? ->That's not a bad deal, especially since it should come with 2 filters. The listing on costco.com shows 2 filters. The Levoit Core 300 may be a slightly better deal. I've had one since Black Friday and so far, it's good. Noise on low is good in my bedroom. My Winix 5300 is almost 14 years old now, so I'm very satisfied with it. The much newer Winix 5500 may be a better choice than the Winix 610 or Levoit Core 300. So if you have the space for it, I would go with the 5500. All of these have reasonable priced replacement filters, so that's good. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these three, don't feel compelled to analyze this for another month! Good luck!
r/AirPurifiers • Is this a good deal and do you recommend this air purifier? ->I use a levoit core 300s and a roborock S7 vacuum cleaner. The robot cleans hair from the floor and the levoit from the air. They do a good job together.
r/Pets • Best air purifier for pet hair? ->I have a Levoit Core 300 in my room and it’s pretty quiet on lower speeds. I keep it running 24/7.
r/ZeroCovidCommunity • What is the BEST AIR PURIFIER you choose for your home currently? ->Not directly related, but may be useful if you prefer your purchases to last. I've repaired a number of Levoit Core 300 air purifiers due to a silly fault: blown thermal fuse - buried within the fans motor. Symptoms: turns on, but fan does not spin. Some were a real pain to access. Haven't personally worked on a Core 600S, nor have I sought them out, but they're likely built the same. I've currently got x3 Levoit Core 300 units scattered about the house, just doing their thing. All units I've repaired. Showed no indication as to why their fuses went; extremely clean, bearings in perfect condition, power draw post-repair was within specifications - otherwise internals seemed great. All failed units were between 4-6 years of age. After doing some research, other repair techs noted other failed devices utilizing thermal fuses. Their theory was that as the fuses age, they degrade - 'crystallize' IIRC. I'm inclined to support this theory, since the units I've repaired have been in otherwise immaculate, perfectly functional order - *aside from the blown thermal fuses...* Afraid I can't speak on the build choices of other manufacturers, but that's my limited assessment of Levoit units. Just a tangent, but after contacting Levoit support to express my concerns - I can confidently state they do not support right to repair. Actively deterred me from doing so, refused to address my reason for contacting them in the first place, and for fun - refused to provide any helpful documentation/information. But ayy, what company *doesn't* behave like this nowadays? ***Actually, [Peak](https://www.peakelec.co.uk/) doesn't. Will provide helpful documentation upon request - and may even assist you with custom modifications, beyond the scope of their products.*** *Unfortunately, they do not make air purifiers.*
r/AirPurifiers • Thoughts on LEVOIT Core 600S? ->I’m anti-Levoit right now after previously being a fan of their stuff - I had a Levoit Core 300 that developed a fan whine after a year. Went through the RMA process and they sent me a new one, which developed the same noise within a few months. I have several larger Honeywell purifiers throughout the house which have lasted several years, just wanted a smaller one for this smaller less-used room - been running a Blueair 511 in there for the past 6 months and it seems good so far, and very quiet.
r/CleaningTips • Get a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulant Air filter) for your space. ->Just want to give my feedback for those that have a Core 300S and not fully satisfied like I was. So I got my Levoit Core 300S a year ago and although I noticed an improvement on my allergies, it always felt like it said the air was always in the very good range (I shouldn't have relied so much on the sensor/Auto mode). Recently I was aware of the new Vital 100S and decided to check it out and compare it to the Core 300S. I saw some comments here saying that the Vital 100S is superior to Core 300S, but since the 300S is so well reviewed everywhere, I was a bit skeptical but in the end I decided to buy a 100S. The main reasons were how "noisy" the fan on the 300S sounds (high pitched background sound) and the fact that the 100S seems to be a better purifier overall. The only thing I was afraid of was the fact that the 100S has an infrared sensor instead of a laser one. Well I can tell you that the improvement on the fan noise alone was already worth getting the Vital 100S. On the reviews you might see that the decibels are very comparable and the 100S is only slightly quiter, but in reality the difference is much bigger. As stated in the [Air Purifier First video comparison](https://youtu.be/2R7RfO1GEw4?si=BmATKoAzGOXZ3l0p&t=228), **the Vital 100S is way more silent due to how there is no high pitch noise** (especially noticeable in lower speeds). The other improvement I noticed is how the sensor on **the Vital 100S responds faster to a decrease in quality air.** I didn't see this reviewed anywhere but I did a quick test by having both purifiers running on Auto and then making the air dusty on purpose and after 10 seconds the Vital 100S changed the ring to orange (bad quality) while the 300S stayed with the ring blue (very good quality) for more than a minute. So I'm assuming that the infrared sensor might be better overall, even if a laser one is better in theory. For those that want to rely on the Auto mode, this is a big improvement.
r/AirPurifiers • I got a Levoit Vital 100S to replace my Core 300S and it's worth it. ->I really like the medium Clorox one. I got the 300 Leviot and it smelled like plastic air coming out. Terrible. The shark ones come with these weird scented things.
r/AirPurifiers • my sleep quality is terrible. my room is full of dust. which air purifier is the best choice for me ->I'm currently running a levoit core 300. Honestly not as Impressed as I'd hoped to be. It seems to have helped some, but I feel as though I got more benefits from my box fan filter. I recently found that levoit got caught saying some of their filters are true hepa when they weren't. And have alot of weak points and used Amazon and others to push sales. Anyway I'd suggest another brand if your being cost effective. I'd say the winix 5500-2 is the best per value. Most don't care for the plasma wave tech. Because it's an ionizer, but you don't need to have it on. Or you can just unplug it inside the unit lol. Otherwise it's a good filter.
r/AirPurifiers • What air purifier are you using in your bedroom? ->Levoit core 300 is great
r/Rabbits • Air purifier recommendation for rabbit fur? ->We have a bunch of Levoits in our home: two Core 300, two Core 400s, and now a new Vital 200s. We also have a Coway Airmega AP 1512HH and a BlueAir 411. Levoit has great customer service and a two year warranty that they actually honor if you can prove via video that your unit went bad. That being said, I’ve actually had to use that warranty 3 times! The fan of one 300s started making a whirring sound about a month into owning it so they sent a replacement. That replacement started making a far worse sound in about another two years (the warranty is only from the first date of purchase). Less than two years in, the fan of the air quality sensor on one of our 400s started making a grinding sound and gave off a burning smell. They sent a replacement right away. I still like Levoit because of their customer service and I wanted try the Vital 200s because of the pellet carbon to deal with morning-to-night hotboxing neighbors. The Airmega has been a workhorse but I wish it had more than the cutesy carbon mat for VOC removal (much of this sub will tell you that unless you have a lot of activated carbon pellets, like lbs of them, then you don’t have much hope with VOCs). This is true, all of these purifiers running all of the time and the weed odor is still pretty bad. I’m thinking of getting the Oransi TrueCarbon to deal with that.
r/AirPurifiers • Which brand is the best? ->I have a couple of Levoit Core 300s and could put one in the dining room. I like the idea of also having something on the table to try to clean things before they get in your face from the person across from you. Unless anyone has info on why that's not a good idea? For the Orsani AirMend, what direction would you have it face? For example, point the square flat side towards the higher risk people or towards the others?
r/AirPurifiers • Tabletop air purifier recommendations for Covid-conscious family meals? ->The "Core" series (round ones) are definitively NOT HEPA. They still clean air, but if the certification is important to you, they definitely failed to get certified and misled their customers. Their "Vital" series (rectangular) is still HEPA, but they've backed off from marketing it that way due to their legal woes.
r/AirPurifiers • What Air Purifier Do You Recommend for Asthma? ->So… I don’t know who told you that you only had to replace the filters once a year but 90 days is optimistic for a Levoit Core. And washable filters are a terrible idea, nobody makes a good washable filter. Just replace the Levoit filter whenever it gets clogged up.
r/AirPurifiers • Recommendations for air purifier with washable filters? ->Pet dander requires a HEPA filter, with or without the boost you get from static charging depending on your tolerance for that. VOC filters such as Austin sadly come at the expense of HEPA performance. If you don’t know that you have a VOC problem you don’t need one of those. I’d avoid Honeywell just because their filter design is currently … expensive and power hungry. You just want to move as much air as possible and have a removable washable or disposable pre-filter. Look for units with high CADR, a carbon grid for pet odors, and washable or disposable pre-filters. Coway Airmega 250 and up, Winix, or there are some excellent new entries like the Airkit. Levoit Everest Air is good, but avoid their Core (round) series.
r/AirPurifiers • Does anyone have a heavy duty air purifier they’d recommend for someone with multiple pets? ->It’s pretty well documented stuff, and I’m n it shy about it. Several reasons: 1. False claims of being HEPA, but actually being a mid-grade flexible filter. 2. No removable pre-filter, instead they recommend vacuuming the main filter which damages it. Newer filters supposedly come with better pre-filters but it took a public outcry and lawsuit to get them to address these two issues. 3. Small fans and tiny filters, this means the fan has to run faster and will burn out quicker. This is not specific to Levoit, all little round units are like this. The filters will also wear out sooner. Levoit claims a much longer lifespan for them than is realistic. In reality they will need to be replaced every 90 days. This means that the operating costs for these units are MUCH higher than competing units. 4. Price - while some models are cheap, others are MUCH more expensive than better built competitors. 5. Credible reports say that Levoit uses sub-par Chinese capacitors on their boards. ALL OF THIS SAID… these units do clean air pretty well. And if you already own one, you can get better filters for them. Filters with more carbon and good pre-filters. So don’t throw it away or anything. I don’t recommend junking them, I just don’t recommend BUYING them when there are better choices. In general, many of these problems are indemic to all round units. I suspect that irrespective of manufacturer they aren’t really HEPA filters - HEPA filters are not flexible, and most of these round units ship their filters flat packed. There are exceptions - air doctor for example - but in general I always recommend getting a rectangular unit with a real filter.
r/AirPurifiers • Does anyone have a heavy duty air purifier they’d recommend for someone with multiple pets? ->Yeah sorry if that seemed overly snarky but basically - although most people have stuff in their air, it’s not clear that everyone needs an air purifier. The first question I always ask is what problem you’re trying to solve - if the answer is (as it sounds like) “well I must have stuff in my air”, then I advise you to get a very basic unit and run it in your bedroom with the door closed to see if you notice a meaningful difference. At the $100 price point you could get a Levoit Core 300, of course we tend to recommend jumping up to $150 and getting a Coway Mighty or Winix. But without knowing your actual air composition or any health issues or concerns, all we can do is recommend a general purpose unit. And honestly it may or may not even be necessary.
r/AirPurifiers • Never gave a thought to air purifiers until I saw a video where a Dyson cleaned a little clear box of red dyed particulate within a few minutes. Now I’m terrified of all the little things in my air that could harm my kitties. ->I’d yank the Levoit units off this list unless cost is your biggest driver. While the Everest air is a good unit, the core is just not. It will clean air at first but it is cheap and the filter cost will add up over time. The lack of real pre-filters really kills these things. From your list, Medify is excellent. As is Coway 400. IQ Air will filter better than any of these units… but moves a lot less air doing so. I own one and I love it but I fully admit it lacks airflow and is VERY expensive. Alen is also good, you can optionally equip them with extra carbon which is nice. You won’t regret any of these purchases tbh.
r/AirQuality • Best Home Air Purifier in the Market Now? ->Sigh. If you searched this subreddit at all you’d see that in general round purifiers are suspect when they claim to be HEPA because HEPA filters cannot be deformed or vacuumed. But you’d also know that Levoit purifiers clean air quite well. If you REALLY need HEPA - and remember, asbestos is a fairly large fiber, compared to pollen - then just get a square filter from literally any manufacturer. If I were filtering possible asbestos, I’d be more concerned about the SEAL than the filter. Coway 150, Coway 250 and up have foam gaskets around the filters for a better seal.
r/AirPurifiers • Air purifier for asbestos fibers. ->1. I had terrible experiences with this Levoit. 2. I'd take the Philips. 3. Unless you have Stadler in Romania? Stadler is not mentioned here on Reddit, but it's good stuff.
r/AirPurifiers • AirPurifier Philips vs Levoit vs Ikea? ->I have levoit 300's. I didn't realise before I got them how much they would help with hayfever. Its worth buying bigger units than you think you need. If I buy another, i will use this company 10% off today https://smartairfilters.com/uk/en/product/sa600-air-purifier-5-speed-version/
r/ZeroCovidCommunity • What are the best air purifier brands for home use in terms of air filter quality and other specs in your opinion? ->I would go with Smart air if I get another. I have 2 levoits. As I understand it, it's CADR, which is important. But getting another is always a good idea "The CADR of the Levoit Core 300 is tested to the AHAM AC-1-2002 standard and found a result of average 212 m³/h (125 cfm). Based on this result, the Levoit Core 300 would be suitable for a 20m² room. " https://smartairfilters.com/en/blog/dispute-finds-levoit-falsely-claimed-filters-as-true-hepa-grade/
r/ZeroCovidCommunity • Best air purifier to reduce covid risk? (UK) ->I don’t have a grey, have an Amazon . We have the levoit core 300s in every bedroom. And the levoit Vital 100S-P, and a Mila air in the kitchen to help with the cooking smells. They both ramp up like even cooking fried eggs. I vacuum the filters about every 2 weeks. It’s amazing how much dust I get from her. I can only imagine with a grey. None of those have the ionizing or UV features. I’ve had them all for a couple years now with no problems. They work great. I get the levoit filters through amazon, reasonable prices.
r/AfricanGrey • Air purifier experience ->I've had one of these since ~2019 and it runs well, just keep up on the filter changes
r/BuyItForLife • Looking To Get This Air Purifier For My College Apartmenth ->I have asthma and allergies really bad from having 2 cats. I have 2 levoit 600 and 1 levoit 300. They will definitely help your asthma and allergies. Also talk to your doctor about a daily inhaler or an injection called dupixent. The dupixent is a complete game changer it completely alleviates allergies and asthma. For the cats I suggest getting them on liveclear from purina. My cats were sending me to the hospital every two weeks. I stopped taking the dupixent for a while and I'm super regretting it! I should be back on it in a week! I haven't been able to breathe in my house which has made sleeping a nightmare. So your not alone if this what your experiencing.
r/AirPurifiers • What Air Purifier Do You Recommend for Asthma? ->I have a Blueair classic and also a Levoit 300. My late husband had allergies and when we got the Blueair they were vanquished so we knew it worked. The Levoit is by the litter box and I know it works. 😁 But the filter for the Blueair is pricey!
r/ZeroCovidCommunity • What is the BEST AIR PURIFIER you choose for your home currently? ->I've donated the Levoit 300S and the Levoit 100-S (they're often on sale at BestBuy or Amazon). I definitely feel it's helped, especially as part of layered protections (ventilation, filtration, masking, etc) There are a few studies out there about ventilation and filtration. Here's one from Switzerland showing concentrations of airborne covid were 40% lower with air filters. [https://www.news-medical.net/news/20230519/Masks-and-portable-air-cleaners-reduced-the-spread-of-COVID-19-in-schools-study-shows.asp](https://www.news-medical.net/news/20230519/Masks-and-portable-air-cleaners-reduced-the-spread-of-COVID-19-in-schools-study-shows.asp)
r/AirPurifiers • Best air purifier for elementary school? ->Get the Levoit 300S model, it’s clean way more square footage (900-1000) at the same wattage as the 200S model. It’s literally the perfect balance of cleaning as much area as possible with also keeping your electricity bill low.
r/AirPurifiers • What Air Purifier Do You Recommend for Asthma? ->Hands down the coway, which is the wirecutter pick and works so great (we have two). Runner up is the Levoit 300, we have two of those as well. They are cheaper and not hepa certified but theoretically work pretty similarly, Levoit is a slightly more dodgy company. What do we use it for - covid prevention and air quality when cooking / generally.
r/Masks4All • When it comes to the best air purifier for home, which options do you think of currently? ->My levoit 300s gives me sinus problems and sore throat. Piece of fuckin shit
r/AirPurifiers • Best air purifier around 200 and under? ->I know!!!! Google air purifier sore throat reddit. You'll see. Levoit one of the worst offenders
r/AirPurifiers • Best air purifier around 200 and under? ->Buy extra filters so you don't need to panic. Levoit air purifiers are good BIFL unless your electrical grid is shit. 300s is for portability but for main living room you may get higher ones like 400s.
r/BuyItForLife • Looking To Get This Air Purifier For My College Apartmenth ->Plus one for this. We use the same brand the 300S model in the bedroom and also the mini version in the room with the 3d printer. Only use the mini version thier as we have no space for the bigger version. Plus the mini version is super quite too!
r/BambuLab • Any Air Purifier Suggestions? ->Another vote for the Levoits! We have the 300s in each bedroom and a 400 in the living room. (Single story 1800 sqft, 3 bedrooms). It makes a huge difference with pets. We have cats and the air purifiers make the litter boxes unnoticeable. (3 Litter boxes get cleaned twice a week, this helps so I don’t have to clean them every day) We change the filters every 6 months. We even put one in the garage to help with musty smells. When the windows are open the are off, when the windows are closed they are on. We started with one and now have 5 🥰
r/CleaningTips • Are Room Air Purifiers Worth it if so, What Recommendations can you guys give me, thinking of buying one soon ->I just got a levoit 300s, it's pretty noisy on max setting. Have a browse of reviews: housefresh.com
r/AirPurifiers • Air purifier recommendations for small room and noisy neighbor? ->i really like my levoit 300s, but it’s mostly for dust and pet hair. not sure about smoke.
r/BuyItForLife • The Best Air Purifiers? ->I am currently running the house special of "I bought whatever was on sale at the time." So I have a mix of Levoit, Winix, Blueair, and a couple of decades old Honeywells to round it out. My AC system also has a "circulate" option and has a built-in HEPA filter and UV light. I monitor it all with a Airthings 2960 (one upstairs, one downstairs). Currently, I am trying to consolidate to a single brand (settled on Levoit - 300 and 600 sizes) just to make filter replacement simpler. Trying to get to a 6mo filter replacement schedule (currently closer to 4mo here in Texas, thanks to all the allergens). From my testing, here's the short version - as long as it moves air and has some sort of filtration, it'll probably help the air quality in your home. Everything else - air quality monitoring, app access, noise level - it's all bonus features that don't really affect the overall performance of the device. According to my Airthings AQ monitor, they do make a difference. I see VoCs and PM1 and PM2.5 go down when you ramp up the filter fan speeds. For recommendations - Level 1 - regularly change the air filter that your home uses - go cheap and replace more frequently rather than going expensive and hoping it lasts longer. Also, vacuum and dust regularly. Level 2 - bang-for-the-buck is the Corsi–Rosenthal box - and it will always be what I recommend to people who are trying to figure out if air filters will make a difference for them. Level 3 - buy the system that moves the most amount of air and has replacement filters that don't cost an arm and a leg. Levoit, Winix, Blueair, are all honestly decent systems - and if you open them up to replace their filters, you find out that they're really just doing the same thing the Corsi-Rosenthal is. They're just intake fans sitting on top of a filter. As price goes up, you're really just paying for things like automation (fan automatically ramping up when it senses high particles), noise reduction, filter change nagging, etc. My suggestion is to buy whatever goes on sale next time and stick with the brand/size for ease of maintenance. Minimum size I'd recommend is 1000sqft even if your home/room is smaller than that. The max room size is calculated by their highest fan speed - chances are, you probably won't be running it that high all the time. It is better to get multiple smaller units that are local to the area you're using versus a single large unit for a big space. These do not move air vigorously (less than your standard fan) - so even if they say they'll do "3000sqft" - they are assuming you're in a single rectangular room with only four walls. If your home is 2000sqft with lots of rooms and hallways, a single unit will not work. However, the number one thing about any air filter is that they are a continuous cost and will only work as long as you are regularly replacing their filter media. At least with air filters you will be able to see exactly what they're doing when you replace them - mine are usually pretty grey-looking by the time I take them out. Oh, I wouldn't bother with all of the fancy filters (like pet, charcoal, or whatever) unless you have a very specific need for them. Those are are mostly gimmicky. Air quality monitors (like the Airthings) are also not needed - and in fact, many of the higher end filters have particulate sensors in them. It's mostly informational for people like me who just really wanted to know if all of these filters actually did anything. Plus, AQ monitors don't tell you *what* the stuff in the air is, they just tell you it's high. I found out that vaporizing humidifiers make PM sensors show deep red spikes because they're literally throwing tiny bits of water into the air (but it's not specifically a negative thing - especially when you're trying to raise humidity). For the "do they work?" question, my answer is "Eh... sorta." They definitely help with things like odors (such as from cooking or pets). I have not noticed a huge decrease in dust build up (but my house is not sealed in any shape). I definitely notice that my allergies get worse when I go outside versus hiding in my house, but it's not like they're completely eliminated when I'm home. So for me at least, they help, but they're not some sort of miracle cure that'll magically fix everything.
r/homeowners • What are the best air purifiers for home currently? Do you notice any difference when using them? ->I like the levoit 300s because you can customise the PM2.5 level that triggers it to turn on and off. Others with auto mode I’ve tried are set far too high to keep the air clean (as is the 300s by default) . It doesnt clean VOcs at all though even though it claims to . i havent found a purifier that does tbf
r/smarthome • What's the best air purifier you've tried? Worth it or a Scam? ->I mean.... I mentioned the part about them having no reviews and being at a sketchily low price point of 1/2 to 2/3 the cost of everyone else. There are really only a handful of air purifier brands that have demonstrated reliability, affordability, and effectiveness over several years, and don't dabble in post-apocalyptic/steampunk decor -- coway, levoit, blue air, winix. If you want to pay more, there's iq air, alen air, and a few others. For $110, you could have bought a blue air 511 and almost a 411, a levoit 300, almost a Levoit Vital 100s, or a Winix a231. The winix 5500, the coway 1512, levoit vital 200, and the blueair 311 are all at this CADR, but for closer to $200.
r/AirPurifiers • Is this a little too good for the price? AirPlus KXY550 ->Levoit 300 just came today and it seems lovely. And pretty quiet too.
r/AskLosAngeles • Air purifier suggestions!? ->I have: 1x IqAir with all the add ins and pre filter 1x Austin it 1x Levoit 600S 2x Levoit 300 1x 24x12x2 MERV 12 Filter (corsi style) but with an HVAC box and INLINE fan. All my HVAC return filters use MPR300 filters. I vacuum all the time, and run a robot vacuum multiple times a day. The goal is keeping the dust on the floor from floating UP and ON to elevated surfaces. In return the air filters last longer.
r/smarthome • To people who use Air Purifiers, do they work or is it a scam? ->We have a Coway and a Levoit and they are both great but the Levoit goes through filters a lot faster IMO but the coway is visually much larger so we keep it in the main living area and the Levoit in BR.
r/BuyItForLife • The REAL best air purifier - I HATE DUST! ->Do you still use your air purifier? I was considering buying a second for the bedroom, but I've used an external air quality monitor and the one built into my Levoit, and like yours they both are almost always at a very low number. So that makes me think what's the point.
r/london • Air purifier for High Street flat? ->Try mo yung levoit purifiers OP, we have allergy rhinitis at nakatulong talaga tong Levoit. 24/7 naka on. May legit sila sa shopee at lazada.
r/Tech_Philippines • Okay lang ba ang Xiaomi Air Purifier 4? ->My Levoits have lasted for years and work well
r/LosAngeles • What air purifiers are you using that’s helping during fires? W. no ozone and BPAs? ->Levoit has been working fine for me. I don’t have allergies but have a cat haha
r/germany • Does any one has any experience with air purifiers? Does it really help with indoor dust allergies? Which one would you recommend? ->If your home was next to other homes that burned down, then first have to access smoke damage inside. Whether it’s serious enough having to tear out drywall and carpet (if have it). Or if repainting all walls will do it. Otherwise, have to deep clean the house. My dad’s house was a block away from where the fire stop in November’s Mountain fire. No structural or visible smoke damage inside, but the whole house smelled like a post camp fire. Me and my brother spent two full days deep cleaning. Washed all the windows and screens. Washed all bedding and clothes. Cleaned all the base boards. Washed couch cushions covers. Vacuumed the carpet and drapes multiple times. After still had a faint smell of smoke left. I bought two LEVOIT air purifiers on Amazon and were delivered even with his neighborhood having a police checkpoint. Couple days later the smell was gone. Most of the result was from deep cleaning the house though
r/AskLosAngeles • Air purifier suggestions!? ->I pine sol or fabuloso everything. I also have the clorox urine spray (I know its peroxide but I like the smell it leaves). I also put powder on carpets before i clean/vacuum or get them cleaned. The air purifier doesn't do much except remove particulates. We have a levoit but it's meh.
r/CaregiverSupport • Air purifier for urine smell ->We have 2 from levoit. They remove a lot of non pet allergens as well.
r/Pets • Advice on choosing the best air purifiers for pets - Are they really worth it? ->Winix D480 or build a CR box. Do NOT buy the levoit for Covid. I’ve owned at least half a dozen and was never impressed with the particulate filtering. For whatever reason, anything with a round filter media seems to not filter well in general.
r/AirPurifiers • at least one roommate has covid, need air purifier TODAY ->Look at the cost of replacement filters. I have a levoit air purifier and I find filters expensive
r/AskLosAngeles • Air purifier suggestions!? ->We have a 2500 sq ft home so we have several air purifiers. I went off wirecutter’s list and got Coway Airmega for the rooms with higher ceilings and Levoit for the kid rooms and office (where the litter box is). We have had them for a year and I’m happy with them. They’ve significantly cut down on daycare illness transmission within our household. Instead of all 4 of us getting sick it’s 1 kid and sometimes 1 parent per illness.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • What are the best air purifiers for home to enhance indoor air quality currently? ->I've used Levoit multiple times for a more economical version, but I love my IQAir GC MultiGas XE (I have MCS) if you can afford it.
r/AirQuality • The Best Air Purifier For home Now? ->I did great with Dyson but I ended breaking it and wasn’t worth spending that much again. I do great with Levoit since they don’t use coconut in their carbon.
r/MCAS • Which air purifier would you go for? ->I just bought a Levoit a few weeks ago and so far I freaking love it! Even on the highest setting it's quieter than a regular box fan. It's actually a quite soothing sound and so far I can tell it's made a big difference in my overall air quality.
r/BuyItForLife • What are the Best Air Purifier in 2025? ->You want a HEPA filter and actual activated carbon granules-sometimes the activated carbon is just a paper thin layer-not doing much. For cost, consider replacement filter costs not just up front ones. I also like ones that have a sensor so you can leave it on “auto” and it will kick on when you cook or air gets worse without you having to keep track of it. Also don’t splurge on plasma ion or ozone or whatever else-mixed studies show it can react with chemicals to form more dangerous ones at worst and generally not much better at best. Right now you may want to sacrifice optimality for actually having something going to clean your air since it’s a time of high uncertainty. What’s in stock at home depot may be superior to the “best” air purifier that arrives in 2 weeks. Those caveats-no one can give better advice based on “feel” than what’s tests show-and wirecutter actually tested performance https://www.nytimes.com/wirecutter/reviews/best-air-purifier/ . If you prefer anecdotes, here are some of my experiences: Winnix has been in stock at home depot. I evacuated with my air purifier and I needed something to leave during cleaning to try and detox my pasadena apartment. It was in stock and had hepa+carbon-it seems to be working. Oransi is the one I evacuated with, love the looks, it really seems to work well, lots of aftermarket filters available-downside is that sleep mode sets fan speed to auto, I want it to just turn lights off and leave the fan mode. But It has lasted at least 6+ years. Levoit is what was at the apartment I evacuated to. It seems a little less powerful per dollar spent than my oransi, but it’s night mode turns off the lights while still letting you set the fan speed. My roommate left a Coway going in his room and that thing worked very well to prevent any smoke smell from settling, and it’s highly recommended by wirecutter. If I had to buy right now and I could get one in a reasonable timeline, it’s how I would go.
r/AskLosAngeles • Air Purifier for Apt in LA? ->Factors to consider: - clean air delivery rate (CADR) - noise (decibels) - those two values **at the speed setting you'll use** (most brands dishonestly advertise cadr at the highest setting + noise at the lowest setting!) - upfront cost - replacement filter cost For us, we picked Smarter Air because we valued cadr per decibel of noise, and they beat everyone in that metric. However they're not inexpensive and replacement filter last a while but aren't cheap. If you don't care about noise, or you have a smaller space and don't need max cadr, you might make a different choice. We also have a few Levoit which have nice smart features, but the replacement filters are pricey, and they're extremely noisy at max speed. The best, however, are cr boxes made with computer fans (like Arctic P12's). They are unbelievably silent for how much cadr they offer. However, current models are kind of clunky and DIY or semi-DIY.
r/ZeroCovidCommunity • What is the BEST AIR PURIFIER you choose for your home currently? ->really levoit is prob the best
r/BuyItForLife • What are the Best Air Purifier in 2025? ->I like my Levoit operation/efficacy wise but the filters are stupidly expensive. If I were to get something else I’d go with the Winix 5500-2. Best unit I ever had was the rabbit air minusA2 but it’s outside your (and mine now lol) price range
r/askvan • People using air purifiers in single rooms/ condos/ small apartments ->We built one yesterday and honestly have preferred it over our Levoit purifier :)
r/pasadena • Air Purifier Availability ->We have multiple Levoits, they work seamlessly.
r/homebridge • What do you think are the best air purifiers for home on the market today? ->My Levoit thinks it's in an OR or a chip clean-room at Intel. It records a tiny blip almost every night, around 0300 or so, but that's about it. I'm a noise weenie at night but this thing is *too* quiet; I know it's running, I see what the prefilter is picking up, I hear it cycle to a higher setting when on auto...but I may just get a clothes pin and a baseball card and really feel like I'm getting my money's worth
r/Costco • New Shark MAX air purifier think my house is cleaner than heaven itself (or it’s just broken) ->I love levoit brand! I have been using them for 4 years and they are so nice and quiet. I highly recommend them. Also pro tip for any brand of air purifier you get, make sure to remove any plastic that is around the filter when you receive your unit.
r/MCAS • Best air purifier ->Unfortunately, from my research, Levoit is the best for a budget. There is only 1 brand that is better (IQAir Health Pro Plus), but the purifier is like $900. You're better off buying a levoit for every room you are frequently in. Levoit does not market their air purifiers as true HEPA because they were sued by Dyson. From my research, many people have tested levoit products and found that they are just as good as true HEPA filters. Extra input from partner: Amazon room ratings should be divided by 2. So if it's rated for 1000sqft don't use it for a room bigger than 500sqft. Reasoning is: the air exchanges per hour that Amazon sellers use is 1 exchange per hour but ideally you want 2 or even 4 air exchanges per hour
r/MCAS • Best air purifier ->I have a Levoit. It runs 24/7. Just remember to stock up on filters. There’s cheap replacements on Amazon
r/homeowners • Advice on choosing the best air purifier for home among tons of options available today - Do they really work or are they just a SCAM? ->Our Levoit is nice, it monitors the air and ramps up accordingly. Usually when we’re cooking, it’ll go into overdrive and clean up the smell. Our old Honeywell or whatever didn’t do that.
r/AskLosAngeles • Air Purifier for Apt in LA? ->Love my Levoit. Also have their humidifier and it works well. If you're thinking of a robot vacuum, you'll be happier with one that is a mop combo. The vacuum works well but the mop picks up the little bit of dust that the vacuum might not get and just overall feels cleaner (to me at least).
r/homeowners • Air purifier recommendations ->I really despise levoit. I'll never buy anything from them again. Their customer service and "warranty" are awful
r/CleaningTips • Air Purifier sucking dust in my room ->Levoit units are pretty good in my experience
r/AirPurifiers • Best Air Purifier under $250? ->Huge difference. Get one, check out the filter after a week. Definitely makes a difference. We run Levoits. Happy with them, and wouldn't be without them now that I see what they pull out of the air. We had a lot of new construction dust, including red dirt. Also dog hair.
r/homeowners • What are the best air purifiers for home currently? Do you notice any difference when using them? ->I have two Levoits that I keep near our litter boxes. They make a big difference.
r/homeowners • What are the best air purifiers for home currently? Do you notice any difference when using them? ->I think I have the same Levoit as you because I kept zooming in on the pic and was like damn if that isn't the exact same as I bought a few months ago for a lot more!
r/GroceryOutlet • Anyone ever buy a goddam air purifier here?? ->I have a Levoit air purifier, bought a special mold filter for it. I do keep it running. However, is it bad to keep it running for a while? Does it actually help? Do I need to change the filter? Don’t want it spreading mycotoxins around
r/ToxicMoldExposure • Do you keep your air purifier running? ->Levoit!!!!!
r/Home • What's the best air purifier for home you've used? Worth it or Scam? ->These are the 3 air filters I personally have. Most air filters only get down to 0.3 microns; these get down to 0.003 microns, which captures mold - which is my main concern - as well as viruses, bacteria, etc. AirDoctor IQAir AirOasis I also have a Levoit that I like but doesn't capture as small of stuff as the ones above.
r/ZeroCovidCommunity • What are the best air purifier brands for home use in terms of air filter quality and other specs in your opinion? ->I will throw in a plus for an appropriately sized levoit. I had them when I lived in South Korea and Air pollution was *immense*. I set up three in my apartment and I never had to dust again. Those things worked amazingly well. They increased power when I opened the door and air pollution came in and cooked. And when it detected nothing in the air, it went to lowest power. But honestly, anything that blows air through a HEPA filter will clean particulate out of the air. Anything crazy expensive probably isn't worth it. People have strapped HEPA filters to box fans and have gotten better results than the most expensive air purifiers. Thats all the expensive ones do. It's an expensive fan and HEPA filter.
r/homeowners • Best Air Purifier for Home Use? Need Recommendations pls! ->I lived in South Korea where there was extreme air pollution. In my apartment I would walk around barefoot and notice the bottoms of my feet turning black. I would mop and mop and mop and still nothing. I got a couple of levoit air purifiers, and it almost completely removed dust/pollution from my apartment. I had very little dust and pollution build up after that.
r/homeowners • What are the best air purifiers for home currently? Do you notice any difference when using them? ->Regular grooming does the heavy lifting (we have 2 golden retrievers), but we also have Levoits and they work really well.
r/homeowners • Best Air Purifier for Pets? Please help me choose. ->We have a bunch of Levoits too. It’s been a game changer in keeping the A/V equipment less dusty, we no longer have to dust every few days. We upgraded our home theater and an air purifier was a must.
r/homeowners • What are the best air purifiers for home currently? Do you notice any difference when using them? ->Thr levoit air purifiers are incredible. I have no complaints. That being said, make sure that the purifier you get DOES NOT use ozone. Some purifiers emit ozone, which sticks to dust particles in the air and pull them to the ground. The idea is that the air is cleaner afterwards. However, this is not only dangerous for you, but for your reptile.
r/reptiles • Best Air Purifier? ->Levoit. Quite happy with mine.
r/homeowners • Air purifier recommendations ->We have three Levoit filters and love them! Probably only need two but I felt like we should have one by each bird cage and in our bedroom. I want a fourth one for upstairs. They clean the air very well and their filter is cleanable a few times before you need to replace. We have a GE filter and it does not work as well. Also, try bathing every other day. That helps a ton and eventually our birds ended up accepting that was their life routine. And finally, are you certain he is having true nasal issues? Greys are so good at mimicking that it wouldn’t be the first time I’ve heard a grey make a sound a human made and enjoy the panic it caused!
r/AfricanGrey • Air purifier experience ->I have three levoits and one Honeywell. The Levoit is smart and you can easily vacuum the filter between replacements. I have a dog and two parrots.
r/parrots • Safe/effective air purifier for dusty parrots? ->The best air purifier brand for me is [Levoit](https://s.lazada.com.ph/s.KStQT?cc)! Super ganda nung air purifier nila. Also have rhinitis and na-lessen na yung pag t-trigger.
r/ShopeePH • Xiaomi air purifier opinion or other reco? ->They work. I have allergies. Also, my wife was coughing a lot until I put one in the her bedroom. I have 3 air purifiers now. 2 of them are Levoit.
r/smarthome • To people who use Air Purifiers, do they work or is it a scam? ->Literally everything has a Prop 65 warning on it. I have a Levoit and I'm pretty happy with it!
r/AirPurifiers • Buying my first air purifier please advise? ->Levoit's are amazing, make sure you get one that will be able to cycle the size of the room
r/AskLosAngeles • Air Purifier for Apt in LA? ->I have a Dyson, BlueAir, and Levoit in various areas of the house. Levoit is near the litter box and is loud but does a good job - we never smell the litter box. Our favorite is the BlueAir in our bedroom - we keep it on auto mode 24/7. It’s super quiet and seems to work well. The Dyson is our most expensive one and we would probably not buy again. We like that it’s also a fan when it’s warm, but it doesn’t perform any better than the BlueAir which was a fraction of the cost.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • Are air purifiers worth buying for pets? Which options would be the best you've tried? ->I gotta be honest… I hate Levoit air purifiers. I don’t think the design is a flaw. The holes are at the bottom so all of the air that gets purified is from the floor. It tends to suck up dust bunnies and block the vents. A tower air purifier is better, IMO. GermGuardian is great for a room. The filter mostly requires a carbon filter change, and it’s really cheap/easy. A 6 pack is probably $20 or less on Amazon. I replace every 4-6 months. I do a full filter change every two years with occasional vacuuming
r/BuyItForLife • Looking To Get This Air Purifier For My College Apartmenth ->Air purifier expert here - bad allergies 😂 Nothing is better than a BlueAir 211+. Huge and will do the whole apartment living area. If you move to a house, will do the entire living space. I used my BlueAir for my 1100 sq ft apartment. And now I live in a 2400 sq ft house and i use it in the main part of the house (30 ft ceilings, open floor plan). Each bedroom that’s being occupied by people really needs its own purifier. Stay away from Levoit… I personally own one and am so not impressed. I have a germ guardian tower (pet HEPA filter) that I’ve loved for 8 years for my master. Coway is a smaller, quieter version… probably a little better too? But I like the white noise of the germ guardian. I recommended a BlueAir 211 on this sub earlier for someone with pets and poor air quality and he bought one and likes it. There are 3 levels…. I use the middle one for everyday use and turn it to the highest strength at night (since it’s loud/super powerful).
r/BuyItForLife • Good quality air purifier ->Pasting something that was shared by someone I know: "A note here that purifiers can add up on cost. I waited for some discounts and sales as much as I could in getting these, but they don't come by often. For what it's worth -- I think the good quality purifiers are absolutely worth it. And be sure to also take into consideration the filter replacement costs when weighing your purchase. Another consideration is space and air flow. I'm more in favor of having multiple smaller purifiers at different locations rather than having a bigger one doing all the work from one location in the home. Ymmv. Alen purifiers are favorite. They're quiet at lower settings, powerful, and some models have an air quality indicator so you can go into auto mode and the purifier will adjust speed depending on the air quality. The SmartAir / SmarterHEPA purifiers are also great. They're quiet and the most popular models pull air on two of the larger sides. Like the Alen, the clean air comes out on the top side. Both Alen and SmartAir brands have given us fresh air that makes breathing easier. I have allergies and they've abated with both. We have the combination HEPA and activated carbon filter sets -- HEPA for particulates, and activated carbon for volatile organic compounds and smells. I hate the smell of smoke, and having a filter for when there is forest fire smoke or when one of the neighbors forgets this is a non-smoking building has been amazing. Brand that I'm ok having because I already bought but I probably wouldn't prioritize again: Levoit. They have small desktop filters that I thought were neat, but due to a lawsuit with Dyson they've now taken "true HEPA" off some of their products. The small Levoit I have, I still use, I do think it helps a little, but we now have the Alen and SmartAir and they're doing the real work I think. Brand that I was excited about for its size offerings but I'm kinda meh on now: MedifyAir. MedifyAir was one of the purifiers vetted by ProjectN95, so that's how I got introduced to them. But the MedifyAir purifier we have (also a countertop version so not one of the big ones) had a mechanical smoky scent for the first couple of days/weeks we used it. It was to the point I thought maybe we needed to stop using it because maybe it was making things worse? So I'm not sure what's up with that, if we just got a bad individual product or if that's just a quality indicator of the brand. Full disclosure that I did not reach out to them at that time. Brand that's "sexy" but I wouldn't get: Dyson. I'm noticing that Dyson has been more focused on hair products and general marketing lately and hasn't been as good about product improvements. Like for vacuum cleaners, I'd much rather go with Sebo, which is a very solid, very repairable, mechanical brand, rather than a sleek Dyson, which is very difficult to repair. So I never considered getting a Dyson hepa purifier, and honestly I don't think we're missing out on anything special there."
r/Masks4All • Best air purifiers for large room? ->I think they're okay but I wouldn't buy one again. Bought Levoit and it helped a little at the start with bad allergies and asthma but a month later it felt like it wasn't doing anything.
r/germany • Does any one has any experience with air purifiers? Does it really help with indoor dust allergies? Which one would you recommend? ->I’ve had a Honeywell Air Genius for 8ish years and it’s more of a tower fan that also slightly air purifies. It does collect dust on the foam pre-filter so you aren’t blasted with dusty air like other tower fans. I vaccine and wash the pre filter and heap filter often so I know they are collecting dust. The washable filters are very convenient and I appreciate that I’m not having to buy over priced filters constantly. During the 2020 northern CA wild fires it did absolutely nothing to purify the air in my apartment. So I got two Levoit air purifiers and they work well but I have had one die from a power surge. Also depending on the unit you get the filters are expensive. But my Honeywell is going strong. It’s honestly a tank compared to any other air purifier I’ve owned. I’ve had it close to 10 years so it’s paid for itself, the fan output is great, as long as I vacuum the prefilter somewhat regularly it works just as good as the day I bought it, I’m not wasting money on filters, I’ve knocked it over so many times and it’s never broken, it’s been through so many blackout/power surges and is still working. So if you want the best tower fan that blows out non-dusty air then I 100% recommend.
r/AirPurifiers • thoughts on the Honeywell Air Genius 5 with a permanent washable filter? needed for medium size room with in los angeles ->High MERV filters make your furnace work harder and can shorten the life of your HVAC system. Most professionals will recommend the cheapest quality but replaced monthly. Most homeowners use medium density replaced quarterly because who wants to add another monthly chore to the list. An air purifier was built with their specific filter rating in mind and are way more convenient besides. Op, I like Levoit. Not terribly expensive, years of being the best rated in home and professional outfits, washable pre-filters which is incredible if you have pets, etc etc.
r/NewParents • Air purifiers in the nursery: best one? are they really necessary? ->I've got a corsi Rosenthal box, a levoit, a Honeywell, and one other than I can't remember the brand of right now. The CR box has a high CADR but is noisy. Works great for clearing the air or when I have guests over. The levoit is quietest and I use that in my bedroom. Makes nice background noise. The Honeywell is fine. Picked it up 2nd hand from a thrift store for $10. I use to just help keep dust and pet dander out of the air.
r/Masks4All • When it comes to the best air purifier for home, which options do you think of currently? ->My husband is a smoker— only in the basement rec room though— I’ve got two air purifiers down there because it’s a room over 700 square feet— they are Levoit air purifiers and were fairly inexpensive. I like that they run automatically and can be adjusted on an app, remind me to check and change filters, and are quiet. They do a good job of removing smoke from the room. I buy replacement filters when on sale. I used to have a big Honeywell air cleaner but it started to smell ‘musty’— I changed to the Levoit after deciding to upgrade.
r/Home • What's the best air purifier for home you've used? Worth it or Scam? ->We have 2 levoits and even on 1 I can hear it across the room with the TV on. They both have an ear-piercing high pitched sound that I can't stand. Is the IQ Air that much quieter? I'm looking for good alternatives.
r/AirPurifiers • Quietest still efficient air purifier you'd recommend? ->I sleep next to a levoit and it really helps me. If I’m coughing, I just ask Siri to turn it up.
r/Asthma • Is it worth spending hundreds on an air purifier? Is so, which one? ->I have a Levoit air purifier and like it a lot! They make different sizes for different situations.
r/homeowners • Air Purifier for Pet Friendly Home ->I have a Levoit because I didn’t want the absolute cheapest air purifier but also not the crazy expensive ones and I’m super happy with it. I know it’s working when I cook something or my neighbors smoke on the back patio and the little circle turns red and it starts working harder. I think it’s made a difference and definitely also cuts down on dust.
r/BuyItForLife • The Best Air Purifiers? ->This Levoit would be a better choice, yes. u/NICBROWWN's suggestion is also worth considering. The [refurbished Winix C545](https://www.winixamerica.com/product/certified-refurbished-c545-air-purifier/) has higher Clean Air Delivery Rates (CADRs) than the Levoit model. Keep in mind refurbished Winix units are limited stock and offer a 1 year warranty. NB: if you have pet birds, keep Winix's PlasmaWave (a bipolar ionizer) off, as birds are far more sensitive to ozone than humans.
r/AirPurifiers • Thinking of buying an air purifier for my small bedroom, running tight on a budget, please suggest which of these to buy? ->Seconding Levoit. I use off brand filters for it just fine as well. When we lived in a super dusty apartment, it made a huge difference. Doesn’t solve the problem but definitely helps.
r/CleaningTips • Are Room Air Purifiers Worth it if so, What Recommendations can you guys give me, thinking of buying one soon ->IQAir by a mile. I have a purifiers from Conway (nice, not expensive), Blue air (prettier, work), Levoit (not worth it IMHO), and IQ Air. By far, the IQ Air is the best of the bunch. Better filters. beefier construction. quiet and powerful. Pricy.
r/BuyItForLife • What are the Best Air Purifier in 2025? ->I use Levoit and Winx. Winx runs in the basement. Levoit runs on the main floor and a smaller Levoit in each bedroom. My experience is that air purifiers are one tool used to help reduce/alleviate allergies. Expecting a purifier to fix the issue entirely is setting oneself up for disappointment. You may also want to investigate an air quality monitor.
r/Allergies • Advice on choosing the best air purifier for allergies commonly loved right now? Do they really help? ->I’ve got a levoit. No problems so far. Filters are cheap too. I’m sticking with them
r/AirPurifiers • Is this a good deal and do you recommend this air purifier? ->I have levoit and i specifically bought it to help with the small dust particles that always floating around the house, tbh wasn’t a huge difference but it did help a bit and it also helped clean the air.
r/germany • Does any one has any experience with air purifiers? Does it really help with indoor dust allergies? Which one would you recommend? ->Air purifier is a great purchase. I have the popular Levoit purifiers in my daughter’s nursery and our bedroom. Quiet asf. I vacuum the filters at least once or twice before I change them out to extend the life. I have a larger GermGuardian downstairs that is less quiet, but does the job. Air purifiers (and open windows) will also help in mitigating airborne sicknesses. Humidifier is a good idea—you likely don’t need to run it year round. We run ours at night in the winter bc of the radiator heat, and any time our daughter has a cough/cold, but again, only at night. You can use an ultrasonic humidifier if you use distilled water, or if you know your tap water is very soft and super clean. Otherwise it will leave a white dust around your house. (I found this out when there was a pile of dust around my Levoit purifier lol.) Evaporative work fine with tap. The cost you save on distilled (and plastic waste) you make up for in buying filters and the labor of cleaning. I have a Honeywell that I only change the filter maybe once a winter, and I clean it when I fill it. We use a Vicks in my daughter’s room, which has a built in filter and warm mist. (She can’t get to it at night, otherwise we’d go with cool mist bc of the heat.) The downside is the filter gets very easily crusted with minerals due to our hard water, and I have to wipe it either daily or every other day to prevent an impossible-to-remove crust from forming. And be sure to check the warnings on any diffuser, as oils and such can be harmful to babies and pets.
r/NewParents • Do you use an air purifier/humidifier in your baby's room? ->I just ordered a levoit. I also found a variety of all their filters for fairly cheap on Amazon. It has nothing but good reviews except for the people talking about how they advertised a false product. To my understanding the margin of what constitutes a true hepa filter can be a hair under and therefore not a hepa filter when in actuality, it really kinda is and is doing the same thing. The prior reviews and even ones now support that it truly gets the job done. I’m not scared of a hair sized difference. Especially when the price is affordable. I fell that all things considered, the worst reviews to consider is the ones about it being loud.
r/AirPurifiers • Should I get Levoit 400s? ->Levoit. Mines been running on high for 2 years nonstop. Just as good as day 1
r/BuyItForLife • What are the Best Air Purifier in 2025? ->I went with a Levoit. I sized up I run a 400 in my room. I noticed an immediate reduction in dust. I live Rural the only time the Quality Meter increases is if it detects cooking from another floor. It is stationed near an outside door so it's working on the dust for sure. You will notice that immediately. I have pets so I had doubts it would be a noticeable improvement but it was immediately.
r/AirPurifiers • Buying my first air purifier please advise? ->A few of my friends converted to litter robot after seeing one at my house but complained about the smell of the litter which they didn’t notice at my place. The next time they came over I turned off my air purifier and within few minutes they smelt it alright! Pro tip here is to add an air purifier running right next to the machine, got one from Levoit and never had any issues with odor! Helps for dust as well.
r/litterrobot • Air purifier for Litter Robot ->Got a levoit one for around $100 (use it in our decent size office, which houses the reptiles)! Have two dogs and a couple reptiles and it helps the smell so much! I should have bought one sooner.
r/Pets • Advice on choosing the best air purifiers for pets - Are they really worth it? ->Levoits are still good at virus clearing even though they are not technically HEPA.
r/ZeroCovidCommunity • Best air purifier to reduce covid risk? (UK) ->totally! Our levoit is in one room and we have 2 ideal ap80s that we got from a BOGO and i love those. although my wife roasts me because when i take my socks off, they turn red and start filtering fast
r/CleaningTips • Air Purifier sucking dust in my room ->My levoit is definitely my lowest quality one in my opinion. i also have an airpura r400, austin air, and 2 ideal ap80s that i got on bogo from usairpurifiers.com. ppl have said i need to ask them for commission from this vid haha. the ideals and airpura are my fav but yes id second it that levoit isnt my fav, but fun for the vid lol
r/CleaningTips • Air Purifier sucking dust in my room ->My Winix from Costco kept breaking. Returned and went with Levoit. We’ll see how it holds up.
r/AirPurifiers • Is this a good deal and do you recommend this air purifier? ->I have some Levoits and it takes 1-2min max. Really not that much effort and wonderful benefits. I couldn’t sleep without mine (plus the extra protection when having visitors over).
r/Netherlands • Is an air purifier worth for my bedroom, and if so which one? ->The key is make sure you draw in fresh air at the same time you use it. So pipe it from a window to the unit and put it close to the person but not right beside them. If they can blow out another window even better. The hepa filters will absorb and distribute the smell if too close. The expensive iqair gs model has reviews from cigar smokers and is a good machine but expensive not only to buy but maintain. The levoit should be fine but the key is getting fresh air in and getting the smoke out as much as possible.
r/AirQuality • Best Air Purifier for Cigarette Smoke? Need Some Advice! ->I enjoy my levoits. They work very well, are quiet, and look nice. Filters can be expensive, but that goes for all hepa filters tbh But if you want cheap and effective, while being flexible and long lived enough, make one out of a box fan and AC filters. They are ugly as sin but very effective when constructed properly and they last as long as a box fan lasts for whatever that's worth.
r/BuyItForLife • The REAL best air purifier - I HATE DUST! ->Agree it looks just like my Levoit for much less. I almost bought that one but I already have 2. Maybe next time!
r/GroceryOutlet • Anyone ever buy a goddam air purifier here?? ->We have a Levoit and love it, it has made such a noticeable difference. 3 settings, first one is quiet, the loudest one we use as a white noise machine at night.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • What are the Best Air Purifier for Allergies? ->We don’t have allergies but we do have a dog who has issues with shedding/dander and it has definitely improved the air quality
r/moderatelygranolamoms • What are the Best Air Purifier for Allergies? ->Worldtech. Very popular online. 900 baht includes filter with pm 2.5 indicator. Gets 90% of the job done at 1/3 of cost.
r/Thailand • Air Purifier Recommendations ->I bought a couple Lěvoit air purifiers, one has WiFi, I put one in the living room and one in the bedroom.
r/homeowners • Air Purifier for Pet Friendly Home ->I really like the Levoit. It’s super quiet on the lowest setting and you can turn the lights off. My husband is a bozo who needs white noise to sleep so he always turns it up to its highest setting and then doesn’t turn the lights off. We have a coway airmega for our living area but I prefer the way the Levoit looks and my older son kept messing with the coway and it got stuck on a setting so I can’t turn it up or down. ETA I also have a roomba because I am allergic to dogs but my dog is my favorite child and I let him sleep on my bed during the day.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • What are the Best Air Purifier for Allergies? ->I have a Levoit Core series unit in each room. I can tell the difference when I run it- even visually, when the sun shines in the room I no longer see all the stuff in the air. They are reasonably priced, filters are easy to change, and have a nuce design.
r/Home • Best air purifier for home to buy today - What are your favorite choices? ->How is a levoit only better for hair and dander? Hepa is hepa and vital series should be just as effective as the others. Core series is inferior.
r/AirPurifiers • Air purifier recommendation? ->Yeah, as others are pointing out the pandemic is far from over. Air purifiers are a great idea. We have them in every room of the house. Get them to cover double the sq ft than the room you’ll use it in so that you can get the same coverage on lower settings. The Levoit Core series is good, has a small footprint and is pretty affordable. I’ve sent these to family. Shout out for the [Air Fanta 3Pro](https://air-fanta.com/collections/all) because it folds down and is portable for travel. [Clean Air Kits](https://www.cleanairkits.com/collections/shop-all) are also awesome. I just got the [Exhalaron](https://www.cleanairkits.com/products/exhalaron) to use for doctors appointments etc.
r/ZeroCovidCommunity • What are the best air purifier brands for home use in terms of air filter quality and other specs in your opinion? ->I chose the Levoit Core Series because its quiet operation worked well in my baby's room, and the cleaner air noticeably reduced my allergy symptoms.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • What are the Best Air Purifier for Allergies? ->We have several LeVoit smart purifiers and they’re outstanding. Our old home is super dusty and these units have made a huge impact on how we feel and no longer see tons of random dust particles in the air.
r/BuyItForLife • The REAL best air purifier - I HATE DUST! ->I have the Levoit smart air purifiers. We absolutely love them, and they make a huge difference when our friend visits with her dusty birds. Our eclectus isn't too dusty, but they also help with dog and teen boy smells too.
r/parrots • Air purifier ->I have a Levoit. Some of them have an ionizing feature, I assume as long as you don’t use that it will be fine (I wasn’t taking any chances though and got one of the models on Amazon that don’t even have that). They call the ionizer “Plasma Pro”, so it will say that on the box if it has it.
r/parrots • Air purifier ->
