I have two Levoit a core 600s and an EverestAir and they both do an excellent job, I've tested them with different sensor and they do clean the air perfectly

I think this gets overstated. The Core series pre-filter just comes with the filter. It’s not much harder to vacuum those than the separate ones in the flat panel units. I say this an owner of Cores, Vitals and an EverestAir.

I just purchased a coway 400 and a levoit Everestair. Have had 2 winix for about two years, Honeywell and germ guardian before that. The coway feels and looks the most premium the coway and levoit both seem nicer upon initial impressions than any of the others but I have only had a few days. One of my winix motor broke about a year and a half in but people generally seem to have good experience with them? The levoit app is really nice and I already had levoit items if you like that sort of option. I bought the levoit for that purpose and the coway because it was on a good sale and recommended by so many. It's kinda loud and annoying pitch to the motor though that's probably going to vary per person

Winix if it’s between these two. But those numbers on units as far as sq ftage is only on high and high is annoying. I went with a huge one in the general living kitchen area and it kicks ass on low and when set to auto and it needs to ramp up it’s done quickly and then back to quiet. These models work good in a bedroom and you really don’t need an app. I have a Levoit Everest Air in the master, Levoit 600 in my printing room and two Winix in kids rooms.

Search high CADR purifiers. My recommendation is if you are ok spending the money on an iqair unit, to look at other options since you have multiple rooms. What I see right now is the levoit EverestAir on clearance for $299 from Bestbuy. It is an excellent choice with a high 350 CFM CADR. (I just got 2 more at this price) a “comparable” unit is the levoit core 600s-p(sale price 299 410cfm CADR) if the Everest is not on clearance. I would buy the core at the sale price. Owning both the Everest is better in my opinion. As others have stated multiple units will provide more benefit than one large unit. However again if you are spending that money and like iqair please consider the Atem-X as it has a very high CADR. Another option is the SmartAir blast MKII. This is a beast of a unit that targets commercial applications but is generally at the same price point as the larger IQAir units but proving a much higher CADR. I have one sitting in my 600sqft Great room.

FWIW you need to measure individual rooms and target the best or most frequent areas. The size of the house is somewhat irrelevant as these air purifiers work with smaller spaces. Additionally air purifiers are marketed very deceptively if you are not familiar with CADR or AC metrics. Some manufactures list square footage “up-to” a certain square footage. This is typically for 1 Air change rate an hour. For a decent filter in a room (that is used) you need at least 3 air changes for hour but the recommendation is 4.8 so I use 5 for my measurements. Will smaller air purifiers work? To some degree yes but they will take a very long time to clear out existing particulate matter from the air. So how does CADR fit in? It’s the actual measured rate at which clean air can be delivered by the unit. By knowing the CFM (cubic feet per minute) of the CADR (clean air delivery rate) you can size accordingly. budget constraints can definitely put pressure on your decision making but I would try to go with the larger most cost affordable option to get a better option. My suggestion would be the levoit Everest. Most places have it for $500 but for some reason BBY has them on clearance right now for $299. This single unit my provider more filtered air than the individual smaller units combined. I just added 2 more. Remember over sizing is ok but undersizing will take much longer to clear out existing particulate matter not accounting for new load. Additionally the Everest has wheels and can be easily moved. It is advertised as up to 2656 sq ft. This is for 1 air change. However we can see to hit the target 4.8 air changes to filter the air means this should really be used in a room no larger than 550 sq ft. If that doesn’t work in the budget focus on the smaller rooms for sure and size the air purifier accordingly. Otherwise you may feel like you wasted money and that air purifiers are not working. For what it’s worth I have shark never change (not great for large rooms but nice for bedrooms) the levoit plasma core 600 for our living room, the levoit Everest is in 4 bedrooms (price per performance while on clearance is hard to beat outside of DIY), a smart air blast mkII, and a 20x20 CR Cube with an 16” drum fan (garage) If you’re crafty a DIY Corsi Rosenthal cube can out perform every one of these for under $200 but the aesthetics are not very appeasing. (Hence why mine is in the garage) TLDR - sizing is important and advertising is not straightforward in regards to actual coverage.

I have always recommended this as I have been using it for a long time already, the reason why I have it is because of dander from my cats and for the smell of their urine, i have a lot of cats, mostly rescued: [Everest](https://s.shopee.ph/qYronWrXZ): wattage isnt that much, 45 watts, noise can be a bit at higher speeds, has a 5 stage hepa flter which you really need, the box arrived on time and no damages wth it. from the brands ive tried, everest is probably the only one that has in a sense delivered in the warranty department but i had to bring it to their las pinas warehouse. I do have a [sharp ](https://s.shopee.ph/60GxyVZqwC)as well, which is a better product but expensive. same time with the shipping their, warehouse is in las pinas too, how i know this? i had to buy a filter there lol. tll now every device works. affiliate link posted. https://preview.redd.it/04vjejs3wlff1.jpeg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f03e50664835ed9320f424253843d1b1a23ace58

buy separate, the two in ones arent as good, though sharp makes an ok one. from my experience the cheaper air purifiers arent any good, better go for something tested. Ill attach a picture of the ones I use personally for air purifier and dehumidifier: I rescue a lot of cats, what I do use is two brands: [Everest](https://s.shopee.ph/20mI2DOOUO): on the cheaper end, does well, biut noisy on higher settings, pero it does its job, as something that purifiers the air, its good, what it handles and where i place it is beside the cat litter boxes, so dusty dun, as i use bentonite din kasi as its easier to clean and the smell and dust there isnt that much. regarding parts, you can talk to everest themselves and tehy can deliver [Sharp](https://s.shopee.ph/9fBjAHMglM): bit more expensive, tested well, does well and can handle most things, bit more quiet, does well, settings are more straight forward and easier to find parts Dehumidifier, lots of good brands, but this is the one in my home: Kolin: handles well, gets the water fast, dehumidifies well, if you are using this always do below 50 to limit dust mites and kill them. affiliate link posted plus picture of my username and date today https://preview.redd.it/4synqkev8wqf1.png?width=3134&format=png&auto=webp&s=5c2d54695b658fe52434fb50ae738a2a4c82fb94

I have a lot of cats at home, mostly rescues, from what i tried [Simplus ](https://s.shopee.ph/2B5CQkePBL)is not good, [tixx ](https://s.shopee.ph/70ASBeUwze)is worse. [Everest ](https://s.shopee.ph/9fBDMaxnK4)air purifier is descent, good enough price and can handle dander as well but [sharp ](https://s.shopee.ph/4VT7D87r9M)is the best but quite expensive. af link posted, just be sure to get something with hepa filter

I have had so many issues with Levoit. I have the EVERSTAIR. I just got a replacement filter which I’m replacing way more than they describe on their website (12-15 months). My new filter just arrived today and I noticed the weight of it was lighter than the previous replacement filter I was using. You can see right through where the charcoal beads are that it’s not even filled up all the way like before, so $99 for half the charcoal.

I run it 24/7. Based on Amazon reviews, I’m not the only one replacing it every 5 months. The particulates aren’t that high. I’m using the purifier primarily for odors and it doesn’t do a very good job. The customer service rep said perhaps the unit was too big for my living space (@200 sq ft.)

Thanks. I’ll have to check it out. It’s interesting because the picture that says -no air holes-That’s the issue I’m having with the new Levoit filter I received today. The rep is claiming that the carbon, when it fills up the holes. prevents airflow and that’s why the amount of carbon is less than usual. I’m not sure if I’m believe them. Also, as someone with MCS, I’m afraid of the off gassing. The filter that arrived today is stinking up my whole apartment and I never had issues with this before.

Check out the levoit everest air! It’s graded for extra large rooms, so it will be more than enough for your 800 sq ft condo. It has a simple touch screen display that automatically shows the air quality in terms of a percentage (100% being perfectly clean) that is also color coded. I like this feature because I can see how things like cooking, wildfire smoke, vape smoke(!) and other things impact air quality. It’s common for me to not think that the air is particularly dirty only to realize my Everest Air is showing 60% instead of its usual 99%. It also has a turbo mode for when the air is particularly dirty. We actually run the turbo mode all night in our bedroom because it is great white noise. It’s pricey ($450) but well worth it, and you can typically get it $100 off directly from Levoit for $350. I just bought one for my mom’s house and it’s $350 right now. Highly recommend!
