If I wanted to have two air purifiers, one with significant sorbent media and one that is particulates focused, what should I look into for each category? I have a 150 square foot office with 8 foot ceilings. I also have a Legit 400S. Would that be good enough as the particulates focused air purifiers? In Los Angeles so getting anxious by all the smoke stuff. Thank you so much.
r/AirPurifiers • New to LA: Humidifier + Purifier Combo ->I got Levoit air purifiers for my bedroom, family room, and office. The PlasmaPro 400s models. Love them, can set to auto, manage from an app (or not) and monitor PM2.5 levels. If I had a higher budget I’d go with Jaspr though
r/blueprint_ • Best air purifier for home ->Levoit was the brand of choice for immunocompromised people during Covid. I have a Levoit 400S.
r/RATS • air purifier ->Just basic controls. This is with the 400s https://preview.redd.it/m0pmdj621crf1.png?width=1344&format=png&auto=webp&s=9cb7ace60a7e986c104e6a6837f3a69782c33046
r/googlehome • Levoit Air Purifier ->Another Levoit user here; I've got the 400S. Seems to do a good job. I've got it located in our main bedroom on the second floor. I can usually tell it's effectiveness when something is being fried on the stove downstairs...the air quality decreases significantly, then the purifier really gets to work and takes care of that.
r/smarthome • What's the best air purifier you've tried? Worth it or a Scam? ->I've got a Levoit 400S purifier and it does pretty well in Google Home. The controls in Google Home are the same as what's available in the VeSync (Levoit's parent company) app. Having the VeSync app installed also will give you alerts to filter life. The Google Home app doesn't seem to do that part.
r/googlehome • Levoit Air Purifier ->Weird, mine has the Plasma Pro option in it too
r/googlehome • Levoit Air Purifier ->Yeah, the purifier I have (Levoit 400S) says to vacuum the filter every 2 weeks.
r/mildlyinteresting • A HEPA air filter after 6 months of use (left) and the brand new replacement (right) ->I have a levoit 400s and I can generally get buy with blowing out the filter with my leaf blower. This may help you save a few bucks
r/smarthome • To people who use Air Purifiers, do they work or is it a scam? ->I had the IKEA one got rid do it because I didn’t have space for 2. It was in my bedroom. It worked pretty well TBH. My other one is a levoit 400s for comparison.
r/AirPurifiers • Dust allergy and affordable air purifiers? What’s the verdict? ->Oversized hepas are better. It allows you to run them at lower speed and still get good air flow without all the noise. We run coway air mighties on level 2 in four bed rooms and levoit 600s on level 2 in the two large open spaces. If I were buying now I would probably get levoit 400s for the bedrooms because the smart rules and scheduling is helpful and they are often very cheap on Amazon warehouse. Noise is barely noticeable and the amount of dust they pull out of the air is shocking. Bonus that we never have to dust surfaces. They are also great to have during annual west coast wild fire smoke season and keep particulates in the house undetectable even when it has been horrid outside. Other good additions if your furnace can handle it is a merv 13 filter on the central HVAC. We also donated them to the kid’s schools that didn’t have them to help manage particulates, air bourne microplastics, and wildfire smoke there as well.
r/PlasticFreeLiving • Best air purifier for microplastics ->I like the levoits because they are programmable. Run at level 2 from 6am until 11pm but kick up to higher levels if they detect PM2.5. Then go into auto mode over night to save energy when nothing is getting stirred up. Bedroom ones mostly stay on 24/7 as they don’t have scheduling. The levoits pull 15 watts each on level 2. Running one 16 hours a day costs about $11 a year + changing a $50 filter once a year or so.
r/PlasticFreeLiving • Best air purifier for microplastics ->I had the same problem with my cat. I ended up going with the Levoit 400s which covers 1,700 plus sf. It has 4 levels of power and an auto mode as well. It's very quiet except on high power and also has app control. You can also lock the unit's manual buttons via the app so your cat can't accidentally step on them or play with the buttons. It has helped with my cat's asthma tremendously. I got it for $200 on Amazon. Probably tip, download the app before buying the product and they'll offer you $100 off through the app store.
r/AirPurifiers • Vet said to get an air purifier for asthmatic cat ->Get a bigger, stronger air purifier, or several smaller/medium ones. If one larger one (i have the Leviot 400s), place it in the most open spot in the house. The biggest problem with air purifiers that makes people think they don't work is that they often block the intake holes for the air by tucking them beside or behind furniture. To do it's best work, an air purifier needs the intake holes to be clear to take in as much air as possible. If you get 2-3 smaller ones, place them closer to the rooms the cat litter boxes are. Get the right filter for the air purifiers - many of them have specific pet scent filters that catch a lot more of those smells. How often are the litter boxes scooped? What type of litter is being used? How often are they fully emptied out and washed?(FYI, this should be done at the very least every month. I clean my three every two weeks) I have two cats and three litterboxes in a 1 bedroom apartment. I scoop twice a day, I use a clay based low dust cat litter and add a tablespoon of baking soda every day when I do my morning scoop. I have a large air purifier with a pet filter. When I have guests over, they have always commented on how they can't smell the cats and ask how I do that in such a small space lol.
r/Pets • Moving back home: 5+ cats for two decades. The smell is killing me. Desperate for help ->Hello guys, Short-long story: me and my wife moved to our new house and we developed difficulty to sleep cuz of allergies. We have also two new cats with us that are not helping with that. I bought a Levoit 400S and used it for 7 days…it seems to help but not as I expected. I have 7 days to ask a refund. My budget is 250€… may I get a better option for that price? I’m located in Italy. Thanks so much!
r/AirPurifiers • Need advice! I got scammed? ->Own Levoit 400 for our main living area (1,100 sq ft apt), the smaller one in our bedroom (toddler sleeps with us). Had them prior to Covid and love them. I vacuum the filters when I can per the manual. I got my mom the blueair 311i max because she was closer to one of the “minor” fires here in LA and she loved it so much she got the mini for her bedroom along with my dad’s (they sleep in separate rooms lol). I ended up getting the mini to bring to work.
r/moderatelygranolamoms • What are the Best Air Purifier for Allergies? ->We have 2 Levoits, 400 in the family room and 300 in the bedroom. Happy with them.
r/homeowners • For those who suffer from allergies, which air purifier really works well in your opinion? ->I enjoy the levoit. I believe I’d have the 400 model which is the biggest, but there are small versions. Tells you how bad the air is while it’s on and the filters last several months before having to be replaced. Noticeable difference when it’s on vs off.
r/AirPurifiers • Best air purifier for mold and smoke. less than $300 ->My only complaint with my two Levoit 400s is that I can’t specify the air quality range for “auto”. It is hard coded with AQI values that make sense for Beijing, but not for the US. Auto only ramps up when we get a *lot* of particles (from cooking) but is just fine with levels the EPA considers unsafe for some sensitive groups.
r/homeowners • What's the best air purifier for home you swear is really worth buying today? ->Worldtech. Very popular online. 900 baht includes filter with pm 2.5 indicator. Gets 90% of the job done at 1/3 of cost.
r/Thailand • Air Purifier Recommendations ->Hey! I have 5 Levoit smart purifiers around my home on Google Home ecosystem, and it works flawlessly.
r/googlehome • Levoit Air Purifier ->We have several LeVoit smart purifiers and they’re outstanding. Our old home is super dusty and these units have made a huge impact on how we feel and no longer see tons of random dust particles in the air.
r/BuyItForLife • The REAL best air purifier - I HATE DUST! ->I have had one Levoit Smart Air Purifier in every room of the house for several years now. I initially bought a few and but was uneasy about the expensive investment I was getting myself into. But I ended up liking them so much I kept getting more and more. I have no regrets even though I’ve spent over $1500 total on them. They make a huge difference (home for a small family + several pets). Actually only regret is I didn’t do this sooner. I’ve suffered from allergies most of my life, to the point that I always walk around 24/7/365 with giant wads of tissues in my pockets. These things make it much more bearable. Pro-tip, you can prolong the filter life by vacuuming the gunk off them. Probably should do it outside as the vacuum tends to agitate some smaller particles in the air.
