I was planning for blue air but just yesterday I realised it has always on ionizer and they have named it as electro static filtration I hate when companies do that. So dropped the idea of blue air. As of now have levoit 600s and works well. Only complain is wish I could have a washable pre filter which levoit doesn't have and neither xiaomi Coway has them but they are not available in my country So if I have choose one of powerful ones then levoit 600s or xiaomi elite

I have 2 levoits.and about to get a third for free because my 600s kept getting an error. They have the BEST customer service out of anything I've dealt with. After I submitted the error on the app they reached out to me discuss next steps. Good luck!

Yeah I've experienced that before. I have the 600s and a small unit for bedroom. Sorry, forget the model. With that said I'm not sure I needed the 600s because it's good for 3000 sq ft and my house is half that. I actually got it because I thought it was cool how it can scan the air and adjust based on quality. This is if it's in auto. It never went past low. I wanted more cleaning that that so keep it in 2 and run a schedule to kick up to 3 or 4 (turbo) while sleeping. Also, check Amazon for open box items. I got it for $225, normally $300.

The 600s would be a great choice, and is probably the best value for the $ of any machine out there. Just don't rely on the auto mode (that goes for any purifier not just the 600s), and instead turn it to a higher fan speed manually and leave it there.

Get the levoit 600s not the Everest air. Better performance and cheaper price and cheaper air filter price too. Read this review [here](https://housefresh.com/levoit-everestair-review/) Also air purifiers don’t go through walls. Better to buy one for each room.

None of those “high end” are that good even the Dyson. If I had to choose any of the 4 you listed I would choose the Blueair. I have not heard of air purifiers drying out the air nor have I experienced it. I would choose levoit 600s if you have it available. Relatively cheap, covers a large sq ft, cheap filters, excellent performance. Medifyair MA-50, levoit 600s or levoit Everest air, or blueair 211i. It makes a difference as to how much sq ft you are trying to cover. Make sure it’s one purifier per room as purifiers don’t clean air through walls.

I bought a beast Levoit 600s, it may be an overkill for you and your budget, but there are smaller models 400 and 300. I highly recommend. Filters for mine are like 80 bucks every 6 months so there's that too.

Personally after looking at all of the ones you mentioned and buying a levoit 600s (which isn’t great) I ended up going for Medify MA 125. Better airflow and I have independent sensors that verify better reduction in particles

I will also say that I have a Levoit 600 S and I’m very disappointed in it. And I also have a mod plus which I love so much but it just does not move air like the MA125 I use a sensor hooked up to Home Assistant and just watch these different ones work and I kind of wish I hadn’t bought the levoit

Oversized hepas are better. It allows you to run them at lower speed and still get good air flow without all the noise. We run coway air mighties on level 2 in four bed rooms and levoit 600s on level 2 in the two large open spaces. If I were buying now I would probably get levoit 400s for the bedrooms because the smart rules and scheduling is helpful and they are often very cheap on Amazon warehouse. Noise is barely noticeable and the amount of dust they pull out of the air is shocking. Bonus that we never have to dust surfaces. They are also great to have during annual west coast wild fire smoke season and keep particulates in the house undetectable even when it has been horrid outside. Other good additions if your furnace can handle it is a merv 13 filter on the central HVAC. We also donated them to the kid’s schools that didn’t have them to help manage particulates, air bourne microplastics, and wildfire smoke there as well.

I have 3 levoits: a large one in the living room (600S), a small one by the litter box (200S), and a small one in the bedroom (Another 200S). They work wonderfully and I definitely feel the difference since I have cat and dust mite allergies. If the purifier hasn’t been running for a few days my nose gets runny & I start sneezing again. They also work well when there are lots of cooking fumes or when using hot hair tools since I see the air purifiers automatically kick up the intensity to clear the air

Levoit is quieter. People get a little hung up on the no HEPA thing and I get it, but these filters still preform really well like you said. You are probably looking at a filter change every 4 months to keep the allergens down. So just take a look at the replacement costs for three filter changes a year. I think both of those units probably have cheaper aftermarket filters available. There’s no reason to avoid Levoit unless you hate the look or really want a HEPA filter. I will say that while the purifiers will help, they’re not going to solve being allergic to a cat and owning one. You also need a good bagged HEPA vacuum and probably some ongoing antihistamines. Anything the cat sits on needs to be dusted/vacuumed super regularly. Good luck. I love cats, but am very allergic too. Hope you can find some solutions that work for you.

I have: 1x IqAir with all the add ins and pre filter 1x Austin it 1x Levoit 600S 2x Levoit 300 1x 24x12x2 MERV 12 Filter (corsi style) but with an HVAC box and INLINE fan. All my HVAC return filters use MPR300 filters. I vacuum all the time, and run a robot vacuum multiple times a day. The goal is keeping the dust on the floor from floating UP and ON to elevated surfaces. In return the air filters last longer.

Get a Levoit 600s, turn the plasma feature off. If you had the funds I’d recommend an Austin or IqAir… or the version I’m working on that will be substantially cheaper than the aforementioned. Get a pre filter for it and when it’s time to change the filter, grab their pet version since you have a dog.

HEPA isn’t necessary for dander. It’s a nice to have but the Levoit performs pretty well. Biggest difference is that the Levoit has a non-replaceable pre-filter so the main filter doesn’t last as long. But also the main filter is cheaper. So… it’s a toss up. I think personally that Coway is better built and would always choose them. They also have carbon and a better filter system. But the Levoit will work fine for what you need.

I have asthma and allergies really bad from having 2 cats. I have 2 levoit 600 and 1 levoit 300. They will definitely help your asthma and allergies. Also talk to your doctor about a daily inhaler or an injection called dupixent. The dupixent is a complete game changer it completely alleviates allergies and asthma. For the cats I suggest getting them on liveclear from purina. My cats were sending me to the hospital every two weeks. I stopped taking the dupixent for a while and I'm super regretting it! I should be back on it in a week! I haven't been able to breathe in my house which has made sleeping a nightmare. So your not alone if this what your experiencing.

I went with levoit because of the ozone. I live with someone with asthma. Also the levoit 600’s covers a bit more space than Winix. Winix does have cheaper filters though. Starting to doubt my pick but the ozone is a deal breaker for me.

I am currently running the house special of "I bought whatever was on sale at the time." So I have a mix of Levoit, Winix, Blueair, and a couple of decades old Honeywells to round it out. My AC system also has a "circulate" option and has a built-in HEPA filter and UV light. I monitor it all with a Airthings 2960 (one upstairs, one downstairs). Currently, I am trying to consolidate to a single brand (settled on Levoit - 300 and 600 sizes) just to make filter replacement simpler. Trying to get to a 6mo filter replacement schedule (currently closer to 4mo here in Texas, thanks to all the allergens). From my testing, here's the short version - as long as it moves air and has some sort of filtration, it'll probably help the air quality in your home. Everything else - air quality monitoring, app access, noise level - it's all bonus features that don't really affect the overall performance of the device. According to my Airthings AQ monitor, they do make a difference. I see VoCs and PM1 and PM2.5 go down when you ramp up the filter fan speeds. For recommendations - Level 1 - regularly change the air filter that your home uses - go cheap and replace more frequently rather than going expensive and hoping it lasts longer. Also, vacuum and dust regularly. Level 2 - bang-for-the-buck is the Corsi–Rosenthal box - and it will always be what I recommend to people who are trying to figure out if air filters will make a difference for them. Level 3 - buy the system that moves the most amount of air and has replacement filters that don't cost an arm and a leg. Levoit, Winix, Blueair, are all honestly decent systems - and if you open them up to replace their filters, you find out that they're really just doing the same thing the Corsi-Rosenthal is. They're just intake fans sitting on top of a filter. As price goes up, you're really just paying for things like automation (fan automatically ramping up when it senses high particles), noise reduction, filter change nagging, etc. My suggestion is to buy whatever goes on sale next time and stick with the brand/size for ease of maintenance. Minimum size I'd recommend is 1000sqft even if your home/room is smaller than that. The max room size is calculated by their highest fan speed - chances are, you probably won't be running it that high all the time. It is better to get multiple smaller units that are local to the area you're using versus a single large unit for a big space. These do not move air vigorously (less than your standard fan) - so even if they say they'll do "3000sqft" - they are assuming you're in a single rectangular room with only four walls. If your home is 2000sqft with lots of rooms and hallways, a single unit will not work. However, the number one thing about any air filter is that they are a continuous cost and will only work as long as you are regularly replacing their filter media. At least with air filters you will be able to see exactly what they're doing when you replace them - mine are usually pretty grey-looking by the time I take them out. Oh, I wouldn't bother with all of the fancy filters (like pet, charcoal, or whatever) unless you have a very specific need for them. Those are are mostly gimmicky. Air quality monitors (like the Airthings) are also not needed - and in fact, many of the higher end filters have particulate sensors in them. It's mostly informational for people like me who just really wanted to know if all of these filters actually did anything. Plus, AQ monitors don't tell you *what* the stuff in the air is, they just tell you it's high. I found out that vaporizing humidifiers make PM sensors show deep red spikes because they're literally throwing tiny bits of water into the air (but it's not specifically a negative thing - especially when you're trying to raise humidity). For the "do they work?" question, my answer is "Eh... sorta." They definitely help with things like odors (such as from cooking or pets). I have not noticed a huge decrease in dust build up (but my house is not sealed in any shape). I definitely notice that my allergies get worse when I go outside versus hiding in my house, but it's not like they're completely eliminated when I'm home. So for me at least, they help, but they're not some sort of miracle cure that'll magically fix everything.

I have had one Levoit Smart Air Purifier in every room of the house for several years now. I initially bought a few and but was uneasy about the expensive investment I was getting myself into. But I ended up liking them so much I kept getting more and more. I have no regrets even though I’ve spent over $1500 total on them. They make a huge difference (home for a small family + several pets). Actually only regret is I didn’t do this sooner. I’ve suffered from allergies most of my life, to the point that I always walk around 24/7/365 with giant wads of tissues in my pockets. These things make it much more bearable. Pro-tip, you can prolong the filter life by vacuuming the gunk off them. Probably should do it outside as the vacuum tends to agitate some smaller particles in the air.
