I bought Vital S100 for my kitchen and I think it is prettu good for my purpose. At max speed it can "recycle" and "clean" the room in a couple of hour and is quite good also in removing cooking smell (not the big one like deep fried foods, garlic and shit liek that). The only "bad point" for someone is that at max speed is pretty loud, but I really don't care about that. Sleeping mode is fine. Probably the S200 can do a much better job but if you don't smoke and you will not use for removing bad smell I think is perfect. For my personal experience in the future I will (maybe) update into S200 for the kitchen and S100 in the bedroom / gaming room.
I have one Levoit that does 75sqm, and a smaller Philips i put next to my litter trays
How is a levoit only better for hair and dander? Hepa is hepa and vital series should be just as effective as the others. Core series is inferior.
Why do you suggest ma-25 over levoit vitals? Both are hepa, and the levoit 100s has a higher CADR with a quieter fan. Plus ma-25 will burn filters roughly twice the speed of a vital. So even though it's a little cheaper to start with, it'll quickly add up to more over the life of the product. There's simply no real benefit to an ma-25 over a vital 100, other than appearance, but that's subjective. MA-25 looks more sleek and refined to me. Now the core levoit are dogshit and shouldn't ever be bought imo, but the vital series are perfectly capable devices.
I know this is an old comment but I have the vital 100s in our large bedroom and dust still accumulates. It seems to help a bit but regular dusting is still required.
For microplastics, a standard hepa (preferably hepa 13) air purifier oversized for the room should suffice. Although not specifically designed for microparticles, hepa apparently does quite well against them anyway. The thing to keep in mind, however, is that no filament in molten state is "non-toxic". Although PLA is really only somewhat toxic with VOC emissions, when you use the printer in a smaller space like a bedroom, the VOC level can accumulate more easily, making it much less savory. To filter VOCs, you at least need a filter with a carbon basket instead of just a "carbon layer". Check out the ikea fotnuftig, Levoit Vital 100, or Winix has a few models as well that include a carbon basket filter. Here in my part of the US, Walmart carries the vital 100. It's like $130 or something, but it's a quick option that's probably sufficient.
Levoit Vital 100 Air Purifier It has passthrough sideways and fresh air out the top. *The brand is renown *It is affordable *2 new filters for $30 *It pushes a lot of air *Hepa I ve been using this for two years and wouldnt change it up.
I run a Levoit 100 next to my A1. I used to smell the PLA in the room when printing, don't smell it at all now. Technically the standard home air purifiers aren't going to catch much in the way of VOCs and microplastics due to the small particle size, but I figure it is still better than nothing.
To me it was worth it. The Levoit 100 has quite a bit of carbon compared to a lot of filters (they also sell replacement filters with more carbon), and the smell is greatly reduced so it is definitely catching VOCs. Buying a cheap air purifier will likely get you one with little to no carbon, which will do nothing. Is it catching enough VOCs to matter? I don't know, I can only base it on smell. Is it catching any microplastics? I don't know. But the filter is showing discoloration so worst case scenario I am catching dust and keeping the print area a bit cleaner.
For a large room model iv had and like my core 600 by levoit. For the price it’s been very good The filter isnt hepa but its a very good filter still. And honestly hepa has pros and cons, the pro of it not being hepa is a little more airflow. Things a beast The levoit vital series is very good too for small rooms. Good bang for buck units that have held up well for me. Also filters are not absurdly expensive. Pricy but the cost to run is less than other units
Get a levoit vital 100 or 200. Both are really decent, very happy with mine
They lied about hepa filters on some of their models, pissed some people off. But the vital’s are true hepa
Hi! I got this as an upgrade to my levoit core 300 that’s been in my living room (1 dog 1 cat and tons of 4 legged visitors daily) and it’s been great. We use the core 300 in the bedroom and it does the trick too. If it were up to me, I’d get the 200s-p for the living room and move the vital100 to my bedroom- but it’s perfect otherwise!
I've got a Coway AirMega in the LR and it's great. In the master BR I've got a Levoit Vital 100 which someone gifted to me and it works well enough. I have a Levoit Core 300 in the smaller bedroom; the space is within the specs but it feels a little small if I need to keep it running on medium... a larger unit running on low might be better. I think they say the 300 is also the most expensive to run, almost 2x the Coway given the CFM.
