Levoit 100S Vital. They sell for about $100 on Amazon Resale under "like new." I have good experience buying via Amazon Resale. And if there's an issue, returns are easy.
r/AirPurifiers • air purifier for college dorm ->I realize the purchase has already been made, but since I own the Levoit Vital 100s, I wanted to chime in. I've really enjoyed that it's Alexa compatible. I set up a routine so that when I tell her goodnight, she turns all the downstairs lights off and turns the air purifier on high so that I have cleaner air and a white noise machine to fall asleep to. Another routine sets it to Auto about the time I wake up. It's a great little machine, but the key word is "little." It seems perfect for a bedroom and I may get another for my home office but it's too small for the downstairs.
r/AirPurifiers • My cat has environmental allergies, so I'm looking for a purifier to ease her symptoms. Is a Levoit 100s a good fit? ->Yes I just edited my post with that information. It's a Levoit floor model.
r/AirPurifiers • Even with my air purifier I'm struggling with wildfire smoke ->Sorry for not giving specifics earlier. Isn't my 100s adequate? It seems to be on the lower end of space sizes where rates of air purification are stated. I can upgrade if necessary Thank you all for your help!
r/AirPurifiers • Even with my air purifier I'm struggling with wildfire smoke ->It's the vital 100s. I haven't been running the fan high enough for one thing. How is the 200s filter different? Couldn't I use a second smaller unit on the other side of my space to supplement? Might not be practical I suppose Cheers
r/AirPurifiers • Even with my air purifier I'm struggling with wildfire smoke ->Levoit Vital 100s or 200s are great inexpensive air purifiers. I also have one in each room. They fit up against the wall nicely, and make hardly any noise.
r/CatAdvice • I regret adopting new cat. I'm allergic to the recent adopted cat, and now all the cats are bonded. ->[PurpleAir](https://map.purpleair.com/air-quality-standards-us-epa-aqi?opt=%2F1%2Flp%2Fa10%2Fp604800%2FcC0#11.01/47.6101/-122.3557) has pretty comprehensive real-time AQI monitoring, and I'll sometimes cross-reference it against the [AirNow Fire and Smoke Map](https://fire.airnow.gov/#9.72/47.6672/-122.0571). The latter has less sensor data, but it shows you fire, AQI, and can show NOAA smoke plumes if you select it from the gear in the righthand corner. We've got several air purifiers in various sizes, mostly due to wildfire smoke in the fall and pollen in the spring. We've got the [Levoit Vital 100](https://www.amazon.com/LEVOIT-Allergies-Eliminators-Vital-100/dp/B07X25BNBR/ref=ast_sto_dp_puis) in a home office. Great for pollen, just okay for smoke. And then we've got a [Levoit EverestAir](https://www.amazon.com/LEVOIT-Purifiers-Captures-Particles-Allergies/dp/B0B252LDH7/ref=ast_sto_dp_puis?th=1) for the living room. This one got the air from 76% filtered when I turned it on today to 99% in a couple hours. In non-smokey times we can get the whole place smelling like we just moved in. It rules but it's friggin' expensive. Be sure to check door and window seals. Our old place had a huge gap in the front door that let in aaaaaaalll the smoke. In 2017 it was so bad that I struggled to see my desktop monitor through the haze at one point. We took to sealing all the way around it (plus our drafty windows) with painter's tape until the smoke cleared. Basically sealed ourselves in, then undid just enough to leave for store trips or whatever and then we'd re-do it when we returned. If you're sensitive to smoke, an N95 helps. I get really dizzy when the air quality gets bad, and a mask when it hits an AQI of 200 helps me sleep. It's not fun, but better than smoke. If the smoke continues into October, play a John Carpenter soundtrack and stare out the window. Really completes the dismal, spooky vibe. It's our family tradition now. Sorry for the short novel here, but hope it helps! And welcome!
r/AskSeattle • What to do about wildfire smoke ->I recommend the higher rated Levoit Vital 100s from amazon directly. Around 6800php (including shipping) lang when I got mine. Tapos bili na lang kayo ng extra filters dito.
r/RentPH • Highly recommend this for pet owners ->Levoit are consistently ranked among the top by professional reviewers and customers alike. There are people out there who are all pissy about the fact that the filters aren't officially HEPA certified anymore and have made it their life mission to shit on Levoit at any opportunity, but the fact is that it's just not important as the filters are still among the best performing, with or without the certification and it's wholly irrelevant for most people's uses. My main advice would be to get the largest unit you can afford, as small ones are much less effective. Large ones can always be run on a slower speed if put into a small room, but generally it's best to use the highest speed you can handle without being annoyed by it. The Vital 100S and Vital 200S have washable mesh pre-filters which is one of their main advantages over the Core series, but the Core series are still very good. The washable pre-filters just help keep the primary filter lasting a little longer between replacements. However, reviewers have noted that the Vital 200S is the better choice over the 100S due to being quieter, more power efficient, and larger. The Core series have a non-washable pre-filter which you can vacuum every couple of weeks with a soft brush. They are still excellent purifiers, and there are plenty of options for third-party replacement filters which are just as good, but cheaper than the originals. There are also good third party filter options for the Vital series as well. Since an air purifier is designed to be turned on and left running constantly, the smart features aren't really necessary unless you would like to control the speed every night when you go to bed, or set schedules where it runs at maximum when you're out, and then returns to a lower speed when you're home, etc. Other than something like that, the non-smart enabled ones will do just fine. Also remember that the room sizes they claim can be purified are exaggerated greatly for all brands and models. The really small units which can fit on your night table by the bed and sell for cheaply won't be very effective.
r/AirPurifiers • Which cheap air purifier for a dusty city and lots of carpet? ->Just want to give my feedback for those that have a Core 300S and not fully satisfied like I was. So I got my Levoit Core 300S a year ago and although I noticed an improvement on my allergies, it always felt like it said the air was always in the very good range (I shouldn't have relied so much on the sensor/Auto mode). Recently I was aware of the new Vital 100S and decided to check it out and compare it to the Core 300S. I saw some comments here saying that the Vital 100S is superior to Core 300S, but since the 300S is so well reviewed everywhere, I was a bit skeptical but in the end I decided to buy a 100S. The main reasons were how "noisy" the fan on the 300S sounds (high pitched background sound) and the fact that the 100S seems to be a better purifier overall. The only thing I was afraid of was the fact that the 100S has an infrared sensor instead of a laser one. Well I can tell you that the improvement on the fan noise alone was already worth getting the Vital 100S. On the reviews you might see that the decibels are very comparable and the 100S is only slightly quiter, but in reality the difference is much bigger. As stated in the [Air Purifier First video comparison](https://youtu.be/2R7RfO1GEw4?si=BmATKoAzGOXZ3l0p&t=228), **the Vital 100S is way more silent due to how there is no high pitch noise** (especially noticeable in lower speeds). The other improvement I noticed is how the sensor on **the Vital 100S responds faster to a decrease in quality air.** I didn't see this reviewed anywhere but I did a quick test by having both purifiers running on Auto and then making the air dusty on purpose and after 10 seconds the Vital 100S changed the ring to orange (bad quality) while the 300S stayed with the ring blue (very good quality) for more than a minute. So I'm assuming that the infrared sensor might be better overall, even if a laser one is better in theory. For those that want to rely on the Auto mode, this is a big improvement.
r/AirPurifiers • I got a Levoit Vital 100S to replace my Core 300S and it's worth it. ->I can recommend a Levoit Vital 100s for bedroom (what I currently have) and a 200s for the larger room. Not expensive and they work great with a lot of control over the app via wifi. Also very silent, especially on the sleep setting.
r/AirPurifiers • Looking for air purifier recommendation (under $300) ->Levoit Vital 100S has been great in my room. Very silent and the air quality performance reviews are great.
r/AirQuality • What air purifier is the good/best to get for BEDROOM in today's market? ->My Vital 100S works great, also one of the best reviewed air purifiers online. The 200S is even better for larger rooms, so I would say go for it.
r/AirPurifiers • Should I not get a Levoit? ->While I agree that Dyson has excellent customer support, their products don't quite live up to the hype. Regarding the cheap plastic smell from Coway, I experienced something similar with the Xiaomi 4 Lite, which was quite unpleasant. In contrast, I've been using the Levoit Vital 100S, and it feels pretty good. You can check out some air purifier reviews on the Housefresh website or their YouTube channel. For a 25m² room, the Levoit Vital 200S should suffice. For larger rooms, the Levoit EverestAir is a solid option, or the Smart Air Blast Mini, Winx zero+ pro. However, I must mention that the filter cost for Smart Air is quite high. The Levoit Vital 200S can handle VOCs and odors, but the amount of activated carbon is not great, so it can't handle if VOCs and odor in your room are really bad. On the plus side, the replacement filters cost only $14 in my country. I believe the Levoit EverestAir or Winix is a worthwhile choice for you to purchase. You should check the filter cost of each Air purifier and how long it lasts to considers, and it should comes with a seperate Activated carbon filter so that you can replace it if needed. Activated carbon filter doesn't last long if you constantly dealing with VOCs and Odor. As I know Levoit EverestAir has a Activated carbon filter sticking with the Hepa filter, so you can only replace both of them, not seperately. I dont dealing much with VOCs, so usually I will go with Levoit. But if VOCs and odor really is your concern, the Austin HealthMate and IQair HealthPro Plus is the choice because they have a lots of activated carbon. But their filter is so expensive for me to even think about it. For cheaper option... How about AC Infinity with Refillable Carbon Filters? A DIY option but works better than most 1000$ unit.
r/AirPurifiers • Looking for an air purifier in Australia that effectively handles dust, smoke, mold spores, and odor/voc removal ->Levoit Vital 200s gets great reviews. I read a ton of this stuff and I don't see people reporting those units malfunctioning. Over the years, yes, I've seen reports of issues with a whining noise on some units (the 300 and 400) but that was years ago and Levoit addressed it and also offered replacements. They also have good service. I have a Core 300 that is still going from 2020. A Core 300s. And most recently a Vital 100s and Vital 200s. If sized right, these latter two are what you should look at - not the Core units. Those were good in their day, but the Vital units are superior. As for the Hepa question, yes the Vital units are, on sleep mode, and the "scandal" about all of that was drummed up by a competitor - who makes inferior units.
r/AirPurifiers • Should I not get a Levoit? ->I have a single Levoit 100s in a 1200sf home, and it does a great job. I had a 300s in my large-ish master br at my last home and it was fantastic too. Super quiet and very effective, filters aren't too expensive.
r/smarthome • To people who use Air Purifiers, do they work or is it a scam? ->I have 2 Medify Air MA-50 models that work great. Speed 1 is basically silent, Speed 2 is slightly audible at 5 feet away (2 is what we run them on constantly) speed 3 is not too loud but is more noticeable and speed 4 is fairly loud but really moves some air. Down side for me is they don't have any smart/app ability. The only "smart" thing is a timer that can be set. Also I own 3 Levoit 100s models that I love because of the ability to control with an app. Typically leave them running on the lowest setting (they are in bed rooms) but if I want to bump up the one in my son's room I can do it from the app without having to risk waking him up by going into his room. They are also pretty quiet. Genuine filters for the MA-50 are about $50 from Medify or like $40 on Amazon but I just found someone 90min away from me that has over 100 genuine Medify filters and is selling them for about $25 each. Genuine Levoit filters are about $35 or aftermarket ones as cheap as 2 for $25
r/AirPurifiers • I'm on the hunt for the best true HEPA air purifier. Any suggestions? ->I got the Vital 100s for my room which is like 3x the price and size, but I got to say I absolutely love it and can notice a difference within only a week. People say Levoit is cheap, but I'm sure these are fine for someone wanting to casually clean the air. How big is your room though? You may not get many air changes per hour with this, through my short research recently it seems like you really want to go larger than youd think.
r/AirPurifiers • Is this worth the money ? ->\^ this. I bought two, very happy with auto mode, which auto-adjusts fan speed based on air quality measurements (not sure how accurate, but good enough for home use). Comes with an app where you can schedule fan speed per your preferences. I'm very sensitive to noise at night and sleep with mine in the room, cannot tell it's there. PS: Filters are inexpensive - just search on amazon. You'll need to replace them at a frequency of 6-12 months, depending on usage.
r/dubai • Best Room Air Purifier available in UAE ->Same I went with the Vital 100s for a 150SF bedroom and its great. On low its barely audible (benefits of sizing up is running low fan speed) and working well with poor air quality from wildfires.
r/AirPurifiers • Is this worth the money ? ->How is a levoit only better for hair and dander? Hepa is hepa and vital series should be just as effective as the others. Core series is inferior.
r/AirPurifiers • Air purifier recommendation? ->Why do you suggest ma-25 over levoit vitals? Both are hepa, and the levoit 100s has a higher CADR with a quieter fan. Plus ma-25 will burn filters roughly twice the speed of a vital. So even though it's a little cheaper to start with, it'll quickly add up to more over the life of the product. There's simply no real benefit to an ma-25 over a vital 100, other than appearance, but that's subjective. MA-25 looks more sleek and refined to me. Now the core levoit are dogshit and shouldn't ever be bought imo, but the vital series are perfectly capable devices.
r/AirPurifiers • is Levoit Vital 100s the best air-purifier? ->I mean it's not the best, but it's fine. It works. You'll need to wash/vacuum the pre-filter every so often as it'll collect dust and hair, and then the HEPA will need to be replaced. You cannot vacuum or wash or clean the HEPA filter in anyway. The Vital series for Levoit is better than their Core series that's for sure and if it's sized right for your room and is a good price, then it's the "best" for you. But it's not the "best" categorically speaking.
r/AirPurifiers • is Levoit Vital 100s the best air-purifier? ->I know this is an old comment but I have the vital 100s in our large bedroom and dust still accumulates. It seems to help a bit but regular dusting is still required.
r/AirPurifiers • is Levoit Vital 100s the best air-purifier? ->Levoit Vital 100 Air Purifier It has passthrough sideways and fresh air out the top. *The brand is renown *It is affordable *2 new filters for $30 *It pushes a lot of air *Hepa I ve been using this for two years and wouldnt change it up.
r/AirQuality • What is the best air purifier out there? ->It's a good "budget" filter with all the smart integrations you could wish for. It works well and is very quiet compared to most other purifiers. You will need to replace the HEPA filter a couple of times a year probably.
r/AirPurifiers • is Levoit Vital 100s the best air-purifier? ->I have the Vital 100s too. Got it cheap second hand. It's a really nice unit, quiet and as you said is quick to detect lower air quality. The washable prefilter is what swayed me though. I believe every purifier should have one.
r/AirPurifiers • I got a Levoit Vital 100S to replace my Core 300S and it's worth it. ->I just picked up two levoit vital 100s because we just rescued our 3rd cat.... my house isnt too big so its better to have one small one in each room. They are 109 bucks each right now on amazon
r/AirPurifiers • Air purifier recommendation? ->I mean.... I mentioned the part about them having no reviews and being at a sketchily low price point of 1/2 to 2/3 the cost of everyone else. There are really only a handful of air purifier brands that have demonstrated reliability, affordability, and effectiveness over several years, and don't dabble in post-apocalyptic/steampunk decor -- coway, levoit, blue air, winix. If you want to pay more, there's iq air, alen air, and a few others. For $110, you could have bought a blue air 511 and almost a 411, a levoit 300, almost a Levoit Vital 100s, or a Winix a231. The winix 5500, the coway 1512, levoit vital 200, and the blueair 311 are all at this CADR, but for closer to $200.
r/AirPurifiers • Is this a little too good for the price? AirPlus KXY550 ->I've got a Coway AirMega in the LR and it's great. In the master BR I've got a Levoit Vital 100 which someone gifted to me and it works well enough. I have a Levoit Core 300 in the smaller bedroom; the space is within the specs but it feels a little small if I need to keep it running on medium... a larger unit running on low might be better. I think they say the 300 is also the most expensive to run, almost 2x the Coway given the CFM.
r/AskNYC • Best air purifier for NYC apartment? ->I assume that this is more than one room? That's like 450 square feet, two small units will do the trick - one in the main living area and one in the bedroom. Levoit Vital 100 is fine.
r/AirPurifiers • What Air Purifier Do You Recommend for Asthma? ->You have a cat - be aware, hair will get in the unit. DO NOT buy a cheap round purifier. They will get fouled very quickly. Levoit VITAL (not Core) is a good choice. As is Winix 5500-2, Coway Mighty or 150. 3 rooms at 300 square feet each shouldn't be an issue, but you may want to size up for the largest space (living room, I'd assume) which could certainly use a Coway 250 instead. If it were me, I'd do Coway 150 or Winix 5500 or Levoit Vital in the bedrooms, and Coway 250 in the living space, unless your master bedroom is bigger. In our house we have Coway 250 in the Master, smaller units in the other bedrooms, and another larger unit in the living area.
r/AirPurifiers • Any good budget air purifiers? ->So you're focusing on the wrong things. Almost all units we recommend are H13 rated. Coway, Winix, even Levoit Vital. And third-party testing is ... not super relevant at this price point. You want a Coway 250 or Levoit Vital 200 for the upstairs and a Coway 1512 or Coway 150 or Winix 5510 or Levoit Vital 100 for the downstairs.
r/AirPurifiers • Air Purifier for Mold ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
