I have a single Levoit 100s in a 1200sf home, and it does a great job. I had a 300s in my large-ish master br at my last home and it was fantastic too. Super quiet and very effective, filters aren't too expensive.

I have 2 Medify Air MA-50 models that work great. Speed 1 is basically silent, Speed 2 is slightly audible at 5 feet away (2 is what we run them on constantly) speed 3 is not too loud but is more noticeable and speed 4 is fairly loud but really moves some air. Down side for me is they don't have any smart/app ability. The only "smart" thing is a timer that can be set. Also I own 3 Levoit 100s models that I love because of the ability to control with an app. Typically leave them running on the lowest setting (they are in bed rooms) but if I want to bump up the one in my son's room I can do it from the app without having to risk waking him up by going into his room. They are also pretty quiet. Genuine filters for the MA-50 are about $50 from Medify or like $40 on Amazon but I just found someone 90min away from me that has over 100 genuine Medify filters and is selling them for about $25 each. Genuine Levoit filters are about $35 or aftermarket ones as cheap as 2 for $25

I have a Shark version 4 that covers 1,000 sq ft and also a small levoit one that covers 400 sq ft. Shark one is about 250. Now and the Levoit one around 80

\^ this. I bought two, very happy with auto mode, which auto-adjusts fan speed based on air quality measurements (not sure how accurate, but good enough for home use). Comes with an app where you can schedule fan speed per your preferences. I'm very sensitive to noise at night and sleep with mine in the room, cannot tell it's there. PS: Filters are inexpensive - just search on amazon. You'll need to replace them at a frequency of 6-12 months, depending on usage.

How is a levoit only better for hair and dander? Hepa is hepa and vital series should be just as effective as the others. Core series is inferior.

Why do you suggest ma-25 over levoit vitals? Both are hepa, and the levoit 100s has a higher CADR with a quieter fan.  Plus ma-25 will burn filters roughly twice the speed of a vital. So even though it's a little cheaper to start with, it'll quickly add up to more over the life of the product. There's simply no real benefit to an ma-25 over a vital 100, other than appearance, but that's subjective. MA-25 looks more sleek and refined to me.  Now the core levoit are dogshit and shouldn't ever be bought imo, but the vital series are perfectly capable devices

I mean it's not the best, but it's fine. It works. You'll need to wash/vacuum the pre-filter every so often as it'll collect dust and hair, and then the HEPA will need to be replaced. You cannot vacuum or wash or clean the HEPA filter in anyway. The Vital series for Levoit is better than their Core series that's for sure and if it's sized right for your room and is a good price, then it's the "best" for you. But it's not the "best" categorically speaking.

I know this is an old comment but I have the vital 100s in our large bedroom and dust still accumulates. It seems to help a bit but regular dusting is still required.

I’ve had several Levoit 100s and 200s and for particulates there are much better purifiers out there for the same price. The MA-25 does much better. I only recommend the 100 and 200 for pet hair and dander, which I do still use them for.

It's a good "budget" filter with all the smart integrations you could wish for. It works well and is very quiet compared to most other purifiers. You will need to replace the HEPA filter a couple of times a year probably.

I have the Vital 100s too. Got it cheap second hand. It's a really nice unit, quiet and as you said is quick to detect lower air quality. The washable prefilter is what swayed me though. I believe every purifier should have one.

Just want to give my feedback for those that have a Core 300S and not fully satisfied like I was. So I got my Levoit Core 300S a year ago and although I noticed an improvement on my allergies, it always felt like it said the air was always in the very good range (I shouldn't have relied so much on the sensor/Auto mode). Recently I was aware of the new Vital 100S and decided to check it out and compare it to the Core 300S. I saw some comments here saying that the Vital 100S is superior to Core 300S, but since the 300S is so well reviewed everywhere, I was a bit skeptical but in the end I decided to buy a 100S. The main reasons were how "noisy" the fan on the 300S sounds (high pitched background sound) and the fact that the 100S seems to be a better purifier overall. The only thing I was afraid of was the fact that the 100S has an infrared sensor instead of a laser one. Well I can tell you that the improvement on the fan noise alone was already worth getting the Vital 100S. On the reviews you might see that the decibels are very comparable and the 100S is only slightly quiter, but in reality the difference is much bigger. As stated in the [Air Purifier First video comparison](https://youtu.be/2R7RfO1GEw4?si=BmATKoAzGOXZ3l0p&t=228), **the Vital 100S is way more silent due to how there is no high pitch noise** (especially noticeable in lower speeds). The other improvement I noticed is how the sensor on **the Vital 100S responds faster to a decrease in quality air.** I didn't see this reviewed anywhere but I did a quick test by having both purifiers running on Auto and then making the air dusty on purpose and after 10 seconds the Vital 100S changed the ring to orange (bad quality) while the 300S stayed with the ring blue (very good quality) for more than a minute. So I'm assuming that the infrared sensor might be better overall, even if a laser one is better in theory. For those that want to rely on the Auto mode, this is a big improvement.

I mean.... I mentioned the part about them having no reviews and being at a sketchily low price point of 1/2 to 2/3 the cost of everyone else. There are really only a handful of air purifier brands that have demonstrated reliability, affordability, and effectiveness over several years, and don't dabble in post-apocalyptic/steampunk decor -- coway, levoit, blue air, winix. If you want to pay more, there's iq air, alen air, and a few others. For $110, you could have bought a blue air 511 and almost a 411, a levoit 300, almost a Levoit Vital 100s, or a Winix a231. The winix 5500, the coway 1512, levoit vital 200, and the blueair 311 are all at this CADR, but for closer to $200.

I assume that this is more than one room? That's like 450 square feet, two small units will do the trick - one in the main living area and one in the bedroom. Levoit Vital 100 is fine.

You have a cat - be aware, hair will get in the unit. DO NOT buy a cheap round purifier. They will get fouled very quickly. Levoit VITAL (not Core) is a good choice. As is Winix 5500-2, Coway Mighty or 150. 3 rooms at 300 square feet each shouldn't be an issue, but you may want to size up for the largest space (living room, I'd assume) which could certainly use a Coway 250 instead. If it were me, I'd do Coway 150 or Winix 5500 or Levoit Vital in the bedrooms, and Coway 250 in the living space, unless your master bedroom is bigger. In our house we have Coway 250 in the Master, smaller units in the other bedrooms, and another larger unit in the living area.

We have several LeVoit smart purifiers and they’re outstanding. Our old home is super dusty and these units have made a huge impact on how we feel and no longer see tons of random dust particles in the air.
