Medify Air - MA-22

Check out medify air , they come in all sizes and they are true H13 HEPA filters. Great customer service, I have quite a few of them in my house and love them

So I had medify in my house. I liked that it filtered down to . 01 micron. And rather than get a big unit I have a bunch of small ones so I can have them spread throughout the house. What they lack that I would prefer is a feature that's smart purifiers have that tell you when to replace the filter. So common practices to replace them every 6 months, But that's a generality. If you have wildfire smoke then you want to replace them more often. But you shouldn't replace the more often than you have to because they're expensive. Smart purifiers will give you that data in the app. I think some of the better purifiers tend to be so expensive that you couldn't get many of them and they're also becoming really huge, like Jaspr. One that I particularly enjoy right now is airthings, and coway is also good. Air things also has a bunch of sensors that you can put around your house for air quality and I like that I can use those to trigger my purifiers to kick into higher gear. I wish there was a simple answer to it, but there really isn't. There's some actually pretty complicated math about the size of your rooms. Okay so this is all about how often you exchange the air in a room. On average you want it to exchange 4 to 8 times but in a hospital setting it would exchange 10 to 15 times. How fast they are moves is referred to as the clean Air delivery rate (CADR). This is basically how many cubic feet of air are moved per minute. Here's where the math comes in. So you're going to take the CADR, And multiply it by 60, because they're 60 Minutes in an hour. Now you have how many cubic feet of air are moved per hour. Hold on to that number. Now let's take the volume of your room cuz remember all of these purifiers talk about square feet but that's a meaningless number. You need cubic feet so that's the length times. The width times the height in feet. Hold on to that number. Now you're going to take the cubic feet per hour and divide it by the cubic volume of the room. Those two numbers you held on to... Divide one by the other. That results is your air exchange per hour. That's how many times per hour the air is going to be exchanged in your room. And remember that's often on the highest setting. So if you keep your air purifier at a lower less noisy setting, it's not going to exchange as often. When I talked to experts purifiers that had three stages of filtration, so they've got your HEPA. They have a pre-filter of some kind that's going to take out your big dust, and then they also have a charcoal filter that's going to deal with your vocs, as long as you have all three then you're really just trying to Target that high ACH, Air change per hour. I know that's complicated. Let me know if you have questions or if I didn't explain it well.

I bought 5 Vital (100 + 200) devices and 1 Core. The vitals barely reduced PM when I used them. I switched to Coway and Medify and had much better results.

I own medify air. I cannot complain about performance. However, people online complain that you must change your filters every 6 months or your lifetime warranty will be voided.

My partner and I use Medify air purifiers, I'm generally a fan but haven't tried others so my frame of reference might not be the best

I have a whirlpool air purifier that is at least 12 years old that’s still going. I also like medify air.

I’m in the same boat. Wondering what decision you made? I had a medify one and returned it because the AQI inside my apartment was 150 after running the purifier 24/7 for an entire week. I then got a Wellis and I’m doubting its efficacy just cuz I’m like wtf is this technology and I see basically no reviews online. I’m leaning toward air doctor I think? How about you?

I have a medify one. It’s worlds different for pet dander.

I run a Medify purifier in my living room and it handles wildfire smoke pretty well for me. I like the filter setup, and it doesn’t get too loud.

we have had honeywell, air doctor, and medify air, as well as a random amazon one (veva). honeywell has actually been my favorite, and it’s also cheaper than the other 2 besides the veva. i am extremely sensitive to noise, and it is very quiet. the medify one sounds horrible- it has a weird high pitch and i can’t stand it even on the very lowest setting. i actually sent it back and they replaced it and the second one sounds the same. the air doctor is quiet too, but honestly i just don’t see a big difference in effectiveness for how much more expensive it is.  i looked for something without ozone or anti-microbial treatments, which all of the coway ones have one or the other of (the cheaper ones have ionizers which create ozone, the more expensive ones have anti-microbial filters only). all you really need is HEPA and a carbon filter. and go oversized- get one that is for an area larger than what you have. they calculate effectiveness based on it being on the highest setting, which may be louder than you want.

Assuming that these aren't erroneous readings: - open a window or patio door a crack and turn on a fan on the opposite side of the apartment to suck in some fresh air. - get HEPA filters with activated charcoal - that will help with the VOC; we use some by Medify Air.
