"I recently found out I have a bunch of allergies- including my dog, so I got these Winix units to try and help combat the allergies. ... Within about 45 minutes of running one in my living room, part of my nose that has been clogged for as long as I can remember opened up. I’m breathing better than I have in years."
"I can tell you they really work. I have a mold allergy, and mold is literally everywhere in outdoor or indoor air with spores just waiting to land in a suitable environment for growth, but I have no symptoms at home with my two small Winix."
"They are also great to have during annual west coast wild fire smoke season and keep particulates in the house undetectable even when it has been horrid outside."

"Big Agnes warranty and customer service help is top-notch. ... I sent them an email earlier this week and they responded within minutes with a fix that allowed me not to send the tent in and repair it myself."
"Nemo’s warranty is fantastic. ... They repaired a rainfly for free that I’m pretty sure definitely ripped due to me."
"their customer support was better than any company I’ve ever encountered ... When my first tent got some delamination on the waterproofing layer they replaced it for free"

"The sensor package alone is worth the price."

"Very reliably unreliable ... having two pairs replaced under warranty and still failed on the third."
"Initially a loud screech blowing my eardrum. ... Then a crackling like you have a car window open going 80mph. ... Then the headphone completely fails; no sound. ... this song and dance will continue until "oops, you're outside the warranty period, thanks for the $270"."
"But the App and my phone just did NOT get along. ... They would constantly disconnect."

"I really despise levoit. I'll never buy anything from them again. Their customer service and "warranty" are awful ... Bought two smart humidifiers, both were defective. Reached out and they sent me a replacement, which also was defective. ... Wanted to just return them and get a refund, but they only offered a credit. The credit I got was less than the current cost of a new product, so I would've had to pay even more. ... By the way, this whole process took more than a month. Customer service was extremely slow with updates."
"The problem with Coway is poor customer service. ... They tell me to return it to Amazon, but I don't have the original package. So I'm supposed to purchase a new box from them to return to Amazon. Amazon won't accept it anyway because it's outside the 30 day return window. Coway's solution is to stop responding to emails."
"once they no longer support the router they throttle your internet speed so you can buy a new one. ... when it was no longer being supported with the last update it was throttle to 200 mbs."

"I had a Levoit Core 300 that developed a fan whine after a year. ... Went through the RMA process and they sent me a new one, which developed the same noise within a few months."
"We have 2 levoits and even on 1 I can hear it across the room with the TV on. ... They both have an ear-piercing high pitched sound that I can't stand."
"Levoit Core 300 was decent on specs, but it hummed just enough to wake the youngest every other night."

"My Eufy X8 died a death"
"99% of first gen and second gen eventually become faulty after 1 year. ... I had 4 Mila, they all died the same way, replacement had the same fate, I gave up and threw all 4 of them away."
""NeverChange" with "up to 5 years use" is purely a marketing gimmick. ... [The owner's manual for the HP150 series] states this is "based on 50% CADR declined, 135 sq. ft. cleaning area and 12 hours daily operation on MAX fan speed." ... [The infographic on the model HP152 product page] is different, claiming the cleaning area is "300 sq. ft." ... Either way, that's much smaller than the 650 sq. ft. rating. ... And obviously any mechanical filter's lifespan depends on pollutant concentrations."
Mila. It’s fantastic. Air purifiers aren’t scams. You are paying for a ready made product vs building one yourself. Thats not what scam means.
r/smarthome • What's the best air purifier you've tried? Worth it or a Scam? ->I went through 11 or 12 Milas (originally bought 5) that all had bearings issues or capacitor failures. I finally broke down and bought 5 Winix refurb C545 units for $69 each 2 years ago....best decision ever! They are super easy to clean, I can get off brand filter refills that are a bargain, I love the app scheduling options....they just WORK in silence and it's so great to actually forget about them because they aren't constantly breaking. It felt like I was actually cheating on Mila when I finally threw in the towel. However, I wish I had done it sooner instead of just prolonging the torture. Coways are great machines...I'm sure you'll love it.
r/AirPurifiers • Stay away from Mila Air - They stalled until my unit was out of warranty. ->We've had Mila air purifiers for years, and I've been very happy with the performance and feature set. The filters are very high quality, the sensor suite is very sophisticated, and the app is easy to use. One early unit we had developed a small ticking issue at high fan speed, and Mila replaced it with a new unit. So great performance and exemplary customer service support. I just ordered 2 Mila Air Mini for bedrooms.

r/AirPurifiers • Mila Air 3 or other ? ->I can’t claim to be an expert in this topic, but we recently purchased a Mila air purifier and we love it.
r/Home • Your top choices when it comes to the best Home Air Purifiers? ->Mila. Works very well and the accompanying smart app provides great data. Filters do get pricey, however.
r/Home • Best air purifier for home to buy today - What are your favorite choices? ->You must be 1% of the lucky customers. 99% of first gen and second gen eventually become faulty after 1 year. I had 4 Mila, they all died the same way, replacement had the same fate, I gave up and threw all 4 of them away.
r/AirPurifiers • Mila Air 3 or other ? ->Happy to second this! I have one of the original HK Mila devices and have a Mini on Preorder. Well designed devices, really good customer care and the filter ranges are brilliant for different home types 😊
r/HomeKit • Best HomeKit air purifier? ->[Mila](https://milacares.com/) is homekit compatible. It's not cheap and has had reliability issues in the past, but the new models are more solid.
r/HomeKit • Best native air quality monitor? ->Yup, I have 2 regular milas and 2 minis and they absolutely carried me through the LA wild fires. The first one I bought had to be RMA'ed a couple times but the rest have been fine (purchased later, they have diff motors)
r/HomeKit • Best native air quality monitor? ->All of these are HomeKit native: - Mila Air and Air Mini - Smartmi AP2, E1, P1 - AirVersa AP2 - Sensibo Pure I have a Mila Air Mini, Smartmi AP2 and E1, AirVersa AP2 and 2 x Sensibo Pure. All work great! The Smartmi E1 is somewhat limited in that it lacks an air quality sensor of its own but can be used with an external HomeKit air quality sensor such as Eve through automation. The AirVersa is a thread endpoint and router, so you need a thread border router such as an Apple TV or HomePod Mini. Hope this helps!
r/homebridge • Best Homebridge/HomeKit Smart Air Purifiers? ->Yes, I have a cat with asthma and we have a Mila air and she is much better now. We also got a robot vacuum to clean every day which I think helps.
r/AskUK • Has anyone used an air purifier and did it help? ->I have a Mila air purifier which is excellent and also a robot vacuum/mop which does a good job of keeping on top of the day to day stuff. My Pedro still absolutely stinks when he takes a crap though! (He has FIV and is on a sensitive diet).
r/CatsUK • Air purifier for cat owners ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
