"They do a good job of removing smoke from the room."
"The thing I noticed most and love about is that I no longer have the smell of my upstairs neighbor cooking wafting in."
"The sensors are amazing. ... Yes whenever I cook or smoke they instantly kick on and work really well."

"I recently found out I have a bunch of allergies- including my dog, so I got these Winix units to try and help combat the allergies. ... Within about 45 minutes of running one in my living room, part of my nose that has been clogged for as long as I can remember opened up. I’m breathing better than I have in years."
"I can tell you they really work. I have a mold allergy, and mold is literally everywhere in outdoor or indoor air with spores just waiting to land in a suitable environment for growth, but I have no symptoms at home with my two small Winix."
"They are also great to have during annual west coast wild fire smoke season and keep particulates in the house undetectable even when it has been horrid outside."

"Cheap parts"
"99% of first gen and second gen eventually become faulty after 1 year. ... I had 4 Mila, they all died the same way, replacement had the same fate, I gave up and threw all 4 of them away."
"I went through 11 or 12 Milas (originally bought 5) that all had bearings issues or capacitor failures."

"the medify one sounds horrible- it has a weird high pitch and i can’t stand it even on the very lowest setting. ... i actually sent it back and they replaced it and the second one sounds the same."
"The Germ Guardian air purifiers from Costco are incredibly noisy and create a constant high-pitched noise at *any* setting."
"Levoit Core 300 was decent on specs, but it hummed just enough to wake the youngest every other night."

"The air purifier is now unusable since I can’t replace the filter."
"the filters are expensive as shit"

"Importantly I want the replacement filters to be cheap. Rabbitair is a ripoff. 120$ for thin filters."
"My small Levoit basically does nothing to change the whole home humidity."
"That being said it doesn't heavily humidify an area, really better for one room like your bedroom or a nursery (which to be fair is how it is marketed). ... A bit pricy to be sure for how little coverage you get ... It doesn’t make a huge difference in the humidity levels but it was enough to help my symptoms. ... But yeah, it takes a while to raise the humidity and the overall raise isn’t that great."

"the company customer support was so terrible."
"they hassled me with a replacement"
Mila. It’s fantastic. Air purifiers aren’t scams. You are paying for a ready made product vs building one yourself. Thats not what scam means.
r/smarthome • What's the best air purifier you've tried? Worth it or a Scam? ->I went through 11 or 12 Milas (originally bought 5) that all had bearings issues or capacitor failures. I finally broke down and bought 5 Winix refurb C545 units for $69 each 2 years ago....best decision ever! They are super easy to clean, I can get off brand filter refills that are a bargain, I love the app scheduling options....they just WORK in silence and it's so great to actually forget about them because they aren't constantly breaking. It felt like I was actually cheating on Mila when I finally threw in the towel. However, I wish I had done it sooner instead of just prolonging the torture. Coways are great machines...I'm sure you'll love it.
r/AirPurifiers • Stay away from Mila Air - They stalled until my unit was out of warranty. ->We've had Mila air purifiers for years, and I've been very happy with the performance and feature set. The filters are very high quality, the sensor suite is very sophisticated, and the app is easy to use. One early unit we had developed a small ticking issue at high fan speed, and Mila replaced it with a new unit. So great performance and exemplary customer service support. I just ordered 2 Mila Air Mini for bedrooms.
r/AirPurifiers • Mila Air 3 or other ? ->I have a few Mila Air purifiers that connect to HomeKit natively. Kind of expensive though.
r/homebridge • What do you think are the best air purifiers for home on the market today? ->I can’t claim to be an expert in this topic, but we recently purchased a Mila air purifier and we love it.
r/Home • Your top choices when it comes to the best Home Air Purifiers? ->Mila. Works very well and the accompanying smart app provides great data. Filters do get pricey, however.
r/Home • Best air purifier for home to buy today - What are your favorite choices? ->You must be 1% of the lucky customers. 99% of first gen and second gen eventually become faulty after 1 year. I had 4 Mila, they all died the same way, replacement had the same fate, I gave up and threw all 4 of them away.
r/AirPurifiers • Mila Air 3 or other ? ->Happy to second this! I have one of the original HK Mila devices and have a Mini on Preorder. Well designed devices, really good customer care and the filter ranges are brilliant for different home types 😊
r/HomeKit • Best HomeKit air purifier? ->Yes, I have a cat with asthma and we have a Mila air and she is much better now. We also got a robot vacuum to clean every day which I think helps.
r/AskUK • Has anyone used an air purifier and did it help? ->I have a Mila air purifier which is excellent and also a robot vacuum/mop which does a good job of keeping on top of the day to day stuff. My Pedro still absolutely stinks when he takes a crap though! (He has FIV and is on a sensitive diet).
r/CatsUK • Air purifier for cat owners ->We’ve owned multiple Mila, Honeywell, and BlueAir over many years and the BlueAirs are the only ones whose fans have stayed smooth and quiet.
r/AirQuality • What’s the Best Air Purifier to Buy Right Now? 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
