I have the reme H and love it . Puts off o zone but keeps the house smelling good remove pet odors and cooking odors. I have not changed to the LED so cannot say if it works as well as the older H (puts off ozone , some people don’t like it )

I can't believe I didn't see it yet, I scrolled a little ways. An air scrubber. Like an air purifier, but you want an air scrubber. Aerus air scrubber or Reme Halo. It's whole home air purification. Talk to your local HVAC people and have them put one in. This is a no brainer if you have a few cats. Best decision you will ever make.

I would not blindly reccomend high MERV rated filters on an unknown system. Higher numbers mean much higher restiction to airflow, and heat pumps are sensitive to that. The best thing to do is fit an Aprilaire filter system. Not all heat pumps have room for it, but their MERV 11 filters are rated for a year and their MERV 16 filters are rated for 16 months. They have much more filter area and last much longer than any other filters, even 5in ones. They also have plastic sliders and force all the air through it, filtering the air much better. A standard 16x25x1 merv 11 filter new adds about .3 to your static pressure, which is huge. An aprilaire merv 11 adds .1, and you change it when it gets to .25. Thats the difference. The issue is a lot of existing heat pumps dont have room for it, and some times its hard to add since you need 7in of width on top of being 20x20 or 16x25 or 20x25. But I would fit one if you can, and then a HEPA air purifier or a REME Halo. I have the april air filter and the Reme Halo in my house and my moms. Im also about to add a free standing air purifier as well and I dont have respitory issues. My mom has liked the difference in her home with the Halo.

Its more of a trade specific thing, as it goes in your duct work. Which is nice because you can either have it come on only when the fan is on or system is heating or cooling so it lasts longer, or like mine that is on all the time purifying air so when the system turns on it spreads out all the purified air.

I’m pretty sure Reme halo was sued because it was deemed that what they put on the packaging was not factual. That was in 2022. But do your own research I prefer UVC lights that operate on atleast 180 power watts. Otherwise it is literally a light in your unit.

Haha! I’ve never liked their products so I am biased but I’ve also been to several systems that had a Reme and saw growth in pretty much all of them that just had a Reme without a whole house filter. Sooooo yea lol fuck them

Do your own research. The Halo Air scrubber Respicaire These are the most common, at least in my area. I’ve personally used and sold them all.

Reme Halo. It works. I was shocked. This house smelled like an ash tray, I put 1 in, set the fan to on, checked back with customer 2 weeks later, she started crying because the smell was gone.
