Xiaomi is THE best, as they are properly engineered devices with extremely good airflow (airflow is much more important than filter technology). However, Xiaomi has gotten a bit expensive over the years. My recommendation is that you shouldn't get any cheap home-made purifiers that you may come across on social media. The only local manufacturer that I'd recommend is Royal Fans. All others are just importing $40 air purifiers from China and then slapping on their own logo (like GFC), only to sell them at $200 in Pakistan. Apart from Xiaomi and Royal Fans, if you have the time and motivation, you can go for a DIY purifier, but PLEASE do not blindly copy some cheap online design. I would highly suggest that you visit r/crboxes to learn about the new CRbox movement, that is strongly against over-paying big companies for low CADR air purifiers. In order to do a quick PhD in air purifier science, please watch the following video: [Most HEPA Air Purifiers Are A SCAM (There's A Better Option)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaQTYrisieA) I currently have a good Xiaomi Air purifier that I bought in 2021. It has been running non-stop since that day without a hiccup. Extremely satisfied. Today, I even bought a Royal Fan for 30k. But I did so because I needed the device urgently. I would highly recommend all others reading this comment to go for a DIY air purifier. If you investigate r/crboxes in detail, you can easily make a DIY air purifier that is much better than Xiaomi or Royal Fans.

Xiaomi is THE best, as they are properly engineered devices with extremely good airflow (airflow is much more important than filter technology). However, Xiaomi has gotten a bit expensive over the years. The filter availability can sometimes be an issue; however, local manufacturers like Filter House from Lahore can build these filters for you, in case you cannot find the branded ones. My recommendation is that you shouldn't get any cheap home-made purifiers that you may come across on social media. They are built on vibes, and don't have proper air flow. The main problem is that local DIY gurus put Rs.400 server fans on air purifiers, which cannot clean air even if the filter is kinda good. I must reiterate that flow rate is king. And cheap server fans don't have the static pressure necessary to overcome the resistance of HEPA filters. Only buy local DIY options if you are certain that the flow rate is VERY good. The only local manufacturer that I'd recommend is Royal Fans. They have good warranty and spare parts. Royals Fans has decided to have a permanent presence in the local air purifier market, and they are getting better with every passing year. All other companies are just importing $40 air purifiers from China and then slapping on their own logo (like GFC), only to sell them at $200 in Pakistan. The main reason why I suggest DIY is that it can allow you to place an air purifier in every part of the house, whereas with expensive branded options, you'll be limited to just one bedroom. Plus, I personally don't like the commercialization of Air-Breathing ®️ In order to do a quick PhD in air purifier science, please watch the following video: [Most HEPA Air Purifiers Are A SCAM (There's A Better Option)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaQTYrisieA) I currently have a good Xiaomi Air purifier that I bought in 2021. TLDR; Buy Xiaomi for an air purifier engineered on international standards, that can fight 2500-AQI smog easily. Buy the Royal Fans air purifier for the next best option, which has good warranty and support. And look at DIY options on r/crboxes, as they can provide you with affordable and long term sustainable options.
