Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
I got a fairly small apartment with 2 bedrooms upstairs and a small basement and I got a Winix T830 in my living room/kitchen area(with my setup basically in-between the 2) a Winix C535 in my kids room a Shark Compact Never change in my room and a Shark Hp100 in the basement. I'd say it's definitely not overkill lol. I've definitely preferred the Winix over Shark
Easy to clean. Quiet. Prefilters seem nice enough to at least last the 5 years the filter claims. Has a lights off mode for night time which is an absolute must for me. Wish It came in other colors but whatever both black and white show dust just as bad. So far I love it. I've tried a lot over the years but this year now having a 4th dog I had to step it up from my smaller blueair units. Our house is about 1350sq feet. I have it in the center of the house and can tell a major difference in air quality the first day in every room. Have moved our small blue air devices to the far corners of the house. I have horrible indoor alergies especially here in the PNW winters and I haven't had an issue with them at home since I bought it. It's easy to clean and moves a buncha air really well. The Costco sale price was a right ($229+ I had a 20 credit from a return so I walked away almost 200 even) but I'm not sure I would have spent 300+ on it regularly considering other well equipped options in that range.
I had a Levoit and bought this [one](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F1GYQV33?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share), AMAZING! So worth it.
Sorry I can see how what I wrote is confusing. Yes… I replaced my Levoit and the Shark one is amazing.
Thanks for posting this! We humidify our house due to the number of wood instruments and living in a dry climate, but hadn’t been using it when we first bought the Shark since it had been a rainy winter. Our humidifier kicked on in the middle of a cold night and we watched our air quality lower to zero! Cleaning the humidifier and switching to distilled water got our air quality back up to 100. Filtered tap water is definitely enough to send the air quality sensor plummeting.
Honestly? Air purifier! We got one a month ago and it’s amazing. Doesn’t even smell like clean litter, let alone dirty cat litter. We got the shark never change compact one.
I have a large shark and then some smaller ones around my apartment. The previous tenant had cats and there was SO much cat dander even after hiring deep cleaners TWICE! My son is highly allergic to animals and his eyes will swell shut and he will be sick for weeks. So I got these and ran them for a week before he came to visit, he had no problems. I swear by air purifiers, especially for people with allergies and asthma.
