Based on 1 year's data from Feb 24, 2026 How it works
I use the Smart Air 4 for small rooms and Smart Air 4 pro for big rooms. I think there might be a newer model out, and I always get the global version. Been using this brand for years.
I’ve had a Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 for about a year now, and it’s been great.
I've got the Xiaomi smart air purifier 4 and it's great.
I have been using both the Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 and the Coway Airmega 150 for a few months now. Best ones in the market rn under ₹20k. Although there's not much fancy stuff on there, the Airmega is just superior when it comes to air purifying. It has a HEPA filter and a separate air filter as well. Downside is no AQI display. (just an LED indicator) The Xiaomi on the other hand has a lot of features. App Control - Alexa compatible - PM2.5 AQI/Temp./Humidity Sensor. It also tells you how much longer the filter will last. It comes with its own proprietary "HEPA certified" filter that you can buy only on [mi.com](http://mi.com); which is kind of a bummer. But does the job. But only 60-70% as good as the Airmega when it comes to air purifying. TLDR: \- Coway Airmega 150 is the best functionality wise \[Prices are a little hiked up rn\] \- Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 is feature packed, if it matters to you. FYI, Both help keep the AQI under 10 at all times when the windows and doors are fully closed. For perspective, I live around the vadapalani area right next to the metro construction. Hope this helps :)
If you don't mind the high price but prioritize features such as a fully-sealed HEPA H13 filter (something that's mandatory), oscillation, and entire-room heating, capturing extremely small particles, go for the [Dyson Air Purifier Hot+Cool](https://amzn.to/3L87KQQ) Choose [Qubo Q1000](https://amzn.to/3JiHwux) if you want a high CADR device with best in-class CADR of 600 m³/hr and great for cleaning large spaces around 1000 sq. ft. It also automatically adjusts the fan speed and mode based on real-time AQI levels using AI technology, and also comes with a 4-layer True HEPA H13 filtration to remove maximum pollutants If you prefer something that's not noisy, easy filter replacement, and excellent value for money product with a good cleaning rate, you can go for the [Coway 250](https://amzn.to/4ntdeTv). High CADR of 400+ m³/hr. Overall, great balance of performance and low noise (as low as 22 dB). If you're looking for a cheaper option and also quick air purification, you have [Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4](https://amzn.to/47mJ66s). Good value for money for those living in high-pollution places with features such as app control, smart scheduling, and 360-degree air intake. High CADR 397 m³/hr [Philips Air Purifier Series 2000](https://amzn.to/3Lcnfr7) for good filtration, available spare parts, and a decent CADR of 380 m³/hr. Good for capturing ultra-fine particles as small as 0.003 microns, making it excellent for specific allergy needs and quiet operation.
Qubo is good, but [Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 ](https://amzn.to/44ea7bj)will be the most reliable device for your room size and requirements.
True and there is more to this. For people living in areas with very poor air quality, especially during NCR smog season, air purifiers can indeed make a drastic difference in terms of comfort and health. 1. Air purifiers can drastically reduce indoor air pollution caused by particulate matter (PM2.5, PM10), dust, and allergens. Many users report feeling relief from symptoms like coughing, sneezing, eye irritation, and difficulty breathing after using an air purifier for a short time. Maybe not as early as a few minutes, but still the improvement is significant. 2. People with pre-existing respiratory issues, such as asthma, may find it particularly life-changing in terms of improving overall quality of life. For people who are looking to consider factors before purchasing an air purifier. Generally, electrostatic air purifiers are most cost-effective. [Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4](https://amzn.to/3JgbfUd) and [Lasko Electrostatic Air Purifier](https://amzn.to/45xVUpO) are good options in this segment. If you don't mind the high price but prioritize features such as a fully-sealed HEPA H13 filter (something that's mandatory), oscillation and entire-room heating, capturing extremely small particles, go for the [Dyson Air Purifier Hot+Cool](https://amzn.to/3L87KQQ) If you prefer something that's not noisy and a cost-effective product with a good cleaning rate, you can go for the [Coway 250](https://amzn.to/4ntdeTv) But speaking about adjusting to outdoor air, for portable air purifiers, go for [AirTamer A320 Rechargeable Personal Air Purifier](https://amzn.to/3H4EJnz) if you're looking for features. Additionally, you can also consider buying a [AQI reader/monitor](https://amzn.to/4fsfyrx) in case the air purifier is not fitted with one or you want a comparison.
Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4... Bought it last year during some sale... Only use it during these months...
Xiaomi is THE best, as they are properly engineered devices with extremely good airflow (airflow is much more important than filter technology). However, Xiaomi has gotten a bit expensive over the years. The filter availability can sometimes be an issue; however, local manufacturers like Filter House from Lahore can build these filters for you, in case you cannot find the branded ones. My recommendation is that you shouldn't get any cheap home-made purifiers that you may come across on social media. They are built on vibes, and don't have proper air flow. The main problem is that local DIY gurus put Rs.400 server fans on air purifiers, which cannot clean air even if the filter is kinda good. I must reiterate that flow rate is king. And cheap server fans don't have the static pressure necessary to overcome the resistance of HEPA filters. Only buy local DIY options if you are certain that the flow rate is VERY good. The only local manufacturer that I'd recommend is Royal Fans. They have good warranty and spare parts. Royals Fans has decided to have a permanent presence in the local air purifier market, and they are getting better with every passing year. All other companies are just importing $40 air purifiers from China and then slapping on their own logo (like GFC), only to sell them at $200 in Pakistan. Apart from Xiaomi and Royal Fans, if you have the time and motivation, you can go for a DIY purifier, but PLEASE do not blindly copy some cheap online design. I would highly suggest that you visit [r/crboxes](https://www.reddit.com/r/crboxes/) to learn about the new CRbox movement, that is strongly against over-paying big companies for low CADR air purifiers. The main reason why I suggest DIY is that it can allow you to place an air purifier in every part of the house, whereas with expensive branded options, you'll be limited to just one bedroom. Plus, I personally don't like the commercialization of Air-Breathing ®️ In order to do a quick PhD in air purifier science, please watch the following video: [Most HEPA Air Purifiers Are A SCAM (There's A Better Option)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaQTYrisieA) I currently have a good Xiaomi Air purifier that I bought in 2021. It has been running non-stop since that day without a hiccup. Extremely satisfied. I even bought a Royal Fan recently for 30k. But I did so because I needed the device urgently. TLDR; Buy Xiaomi for an air purifier engineered on international standards, that can fight 2500-AQI smog easily. Buy the Royal Fans air purifier for the next best option, which has good warranty and support. And look at DIY options on r/crboxes, as they can provide you with affordable and long term sustainable options.
I have cuckoo repsure without copper but if budget is 18k then go for mi ap4 It has app support and better in terms of feature. But if you compare in terms of cadr, cleaning performance then I would say cuckoo is 20 and mi is 19. In my opinion mi ap4 is better if you have 18k
