Xiaomi - Smart Air Purifier 4 Compact

Air purifiers can definitely help with allergies by filtering out dust, pollen, and other irritants from the air. The key is to get one with a True HEPA filter though. Get a true HEPA unit sized for each room. Xiaomi 4 Compact works great for bedrooms, Dyson or Thorair if you want bigger living-room coverage. Run them 24/7 on low and swap filters regularly.

Just be careful that the ones that you buy are compatible to be used on our PowerGrid which is 220 v to 240 v AC. If its 120 v AC don't buy as it will blow the moment you plug in and turn the power on.

Some suggestions: Get the mum to switch to vapes (yes illegal but seriously everyone does it) If not, close room door all the time, make sure you get door sealers and turn on air con and purifier at max speed. I suggest the xiaomi compact 4, can get for around 110

agree sa comment above, depends sa room size. i have small room (but not so small…) and i use xiaomi air purifier compact 4. i did a [review](https://www.reddit.com/r/ShopeePH/s/9jtjY36Tdz) in this sub a year ago. so far so good naman yung two units, wala pa akong naeencounter na error. due na rin for filter change yung nasa room ko but yung isa around 50% pa. na vacuum ko na once ung filter kasi ang daming nakuhang dust, hair, onting fur.. yung dog ko naman ang may allergy so sya ang may gamit talaga 😅

i have the xiaomi compact 4, 2 units for 3 dogs. mag two years na sa feb and so far so good! both 24/7 open, yung isa nasa 50% na lang filter while the other one is around 60%.

Xiaomi 3C as a central unit in the living room, xiaomi 4 compact in bedroom. Have them running on full blast during the day and whenever I come back home the air inside actually smells clean. Air purifiers are essentially just a fan that sucks air into a HEPA filter, a laser detector in the back to detect air quality, and optionally a few other bells and whistles. The differences between the brands are gonna be minimal, just look at the sq.m. Rating on them. The pm2.5 levels on the AP are usually not that accurate so best invest into a dedicated pm2.5 tester to get more accurate values if needed. Or you can just do what I do and have them on full blast during day and on auto at night. I went with xiaomi as they have pretty good reviews and are cheaper than other brands like Philips. After having used them they’re pretty good value over all. Got the 3C around 5 years ago and it still works well, 4 compact is also great especially for the 1.8k I got it for.

seconding this. i have the exact same one in my bedroom.and we have the larger model (squarish naman siya) sa living room. nadedetect niya talaga pag may smoke or what. seems effective naman. yung sa living room matagal na rin nabili ng sister ko. my husband and i were using electrolux sa SG last time. we threw it out kasi parang walang kwenta. nabudol kami ng sales lady. we wanted Philips sana nun.

Look into the Xiaomi Compact 4, it's really affordable and is pretty good at doing the job. £69.99 is a steal.

We are using levoit for 3 years, matibay naman pero pricey yung filter which we replace every 11-12 months. Usually turn on around 16-18 hours a day or kapag aalis ng bahay pinapatay din namin fully Meron din kami xiaomi compact 4 for small rooms, 2 years na and nagpapalit ako usually around 6-8 months with almost 24 hours nakabukas

Just make sure to set it on high manually, Xiaomis (and I think purifiers in general) are notoriously bad at measuring air quality so you have to turn it on high when it's polluted outside As far as I know Xiaomis going back like 10 years have mobile connectivity . . at least I controlled my old one on the app 10 years ago and my new one the same

ah thats good to know. I have a compact 4 and it would never go on high if I didn't tell it to. Even worse than my old one that would at least go high in like 200 AQI situations

For reference, I bought the top of the line IQ Air purifier last year on sale from Firster.com in Bangkok for 55,000 baht.  It’s the size of a portable air conditioner, big, but easy to move around as it’s on wheels. The bottom basic filter will need to be replaced soon.  The light for it is yellow. When it turns red I have to replace it. Just bought one and it was about 4,200 baht from the Thailand IQ Air store online. I was able to extend the life of the bottom one by removing it and vacuuming it.  I didn’t use it during rainy season much, but otherwise use it a lot.  The other filters still show green light, so don’t need to be replaced yet. It’s expensive, but I look at it as my health insurance, which I can’t afford at my age. It’s not very noisy unless cranked up high. I also have the smallest Xiaomi for traveling when the air is bad.  It fits in a suitcase.  Works great for 2.5. I also have the IKEA air monitor.  Works great. I am missing rainy season when I could open everything up and listen to the birds.  Looking forward to rain!

Coway is the best in industry. I can recommend Mi AP4 as well. It has everything that you need

I think people confuse between AQI and PM2.5. I have Mi AP4, and it shows PM2.5 reading instead of AQI. And I also have a AQI meter which shows both AQI and PM2.5. And Mi one shows the accurate 2.5 reading as the AQI meter. Honeywell is also good but I would rather go with either Coway for best purifier and Mi for best tech one.

Go with Coway if you have space. It is the best purifier. Otherwise Mi AP4 because of its compact size and tech features. And just go with AP4. The money you will save on lite is not worth it. I have the temtop P10 Air Quality meter but honestly, I got it because I was paranoid about the purifier working and wanted something to check it’s quality. But after the first week, I have rarely used it. Save your money, the purifiers work and you will know automatically if they are working or not. The AQI indicator on them are good enough.

The sensors on many of the cheaper air cleaners are not that great. Just make sure you get an air cleaner that fits with the size of the room and you'll be fine. Low price : XPXHome with an extra filter many times for around 750-800 thb Medium : Any Xiaomi, which you can control via an app if you want.
