Depends how big your room is , I have Mi 4 Lite and works perfectly for my small room , It costs like 12-13k , But is available for 9k-10k in sales , If you dont want a smart one go with coway air prufiier , I dont remember the exact model name but thats good too in similar price range

Mi 4 lite uses hepa 12 which is not that effective against delhi pollution, you need "true hepa" or "hepa 13" for proper filtration. I suggest you go for airmega 150 as it has hepa 13 and one of the lowest filter replacement costs in the hepa 13 segment. Plus the airmega 150 is really practically designed. No bullshit aqi meter or app features, just turn it on and it easily clears a room of 350 sqft in like half an hour. Everyone should consider filter replacement costs.

Seeing similar post thought of posting my birthday gift. Saw Bryan Johnson walkout and realised how we are ignoring air pollution. Pune's aqi is always around 120, it is not healthy. And God save you if you are traveling on 2 wheeler in pune's traffic. EDIT- review- Pm 2.5 is around 40. After 10 min on full power with windows 2 Inch open pm 2.5 gets down to below 8. room size 110 sq ft. Noise - not audible if fan is on 4-5. Otherwise noise is there..

Xiaomi is good. Have been using it for a while. Whatever you buy - ensure it has a AQI/PM2.5 monitor. One reason for using air purifier is mental satisfaction. So the purifier should tell you how it is performing & reducing the AQI (in numbers - not colors)

Coway 150 and Aim do make more noise than Mi air purifier. But yeah the expensive one of coway ie strom has 22-23 dB noise while Mi has 33 dB noise. But its winter and if i turn on my mi 4 lite during night in sleep mode, i can sleep peacefully. Both cover same area, coway storm is 2.5x times expensive than Mi 4 lite.

I'm using the [Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4 Lite](https://s.lazada.com.my/s.ojMYP) and the [Xiaomi Smart Air Purifier 4](https://s.lazada.com.my/s.ojMbw) at home. My mom started having runny nose every single day mid last year and so we decided to get these 2. It actually helped her significantly. Both of them offers more of less the similar features so you can see which one you want to go for Plus points in my opinion is the ease of use. Simple control on device and shows you the filter health and can choose different modes. If you want more controls, the Xiaomi app is pretty good. I've set automations for when I want it to turn on and off based on air quality and time of the day so I don't have to worry about turning it on or off. I can just leave to office knowing it'll manage itself. You can see the filter health on the app too. Replacement seems to be simple, I managed to remove it to take a look but haven't replaced since health is still at 79% I've tried Coway Air Purifier before, took it for a week from my sister before getting these Xiaomi ones. It's way too big, kinda loud and it's a subscription based so you gotta pay monthly which I feel isn't worth it at all Edit: The Xiaomi Air Purifiers can also get loud but only when the air quality is bad and over 100 reading. I've only experienced this when mom is cooking or had contractor do some fixing at home

I would recommend mi purifier 4 or its lite version. I have been using lite version since almost one month now. It's efficiency in removing pm 2.5 is commendable. It removes around 90% pm 2.5 particles under 1 hour. And I am using it in 270 sqfeet room. Last night when pm2.5 was 400 ug/m3, it lowered it to around 20-30. It's CADR is better than coway 150

I am using mi air purifier 4 lite and it brings down 500 ug/m3 of pm 2.5 down to 30-40 ug/m3 range in my 270 sq feet room. The doors and windows remain closed though. The room is properly sealed with minor gaps around doors and windows

Mi4 lite does not have hepa 12. It is Hepa 13 grade +. It's their own proprietary filter which is grade 13 Hepa atleast if not better since their previous mi3 models had Hepa 13

In Delhi the same pollution level, mi 4 lite gets the pm 2.5 under 30 easily in a 250sq feet room. It has better cadr than coway 150

I don't run it on auto, I use manual highest fan speed mode, and I have sealed the room in the sense that I closed the doors and windows. I use the manual highest fan speed mode. Even on diwali night it was giving a decent pm 2.5 level for me around 50-65 ug/m3. But I read some people writing here that it's not gonna last longer than 3 months since it's a round shaped purifier and they typically don't last longer than rectangular ones. But the performance till now is excellent for me. The performance of this purifier has not deteriorated and it's been running non-stop for 40 days now. I just want to see how its performs compares when it turns 3 months old.

Bro I don't know about other people's experiences on amazon reviews. I know that I have been using this air purifier for 40 days non-stop and its performance in removing pm2.5 has not depreciated even a bit. It's performance is like it was 40 days back when I bought it. I read some opinions here from a couple of people that round purifiers typically don't last longer than rectangular ones. I am waiting for the 90 day mark to see for myself how their opinions hold on this purifier since they said that after 90 days its performance is not going to last meaningfully. However Xiaomi itself says that its filters are made to last 6-12 months in Beijing pollution and Beijing's pollution levels are twice less than Delhi

Realistic-Fix9766 • 12 months ago

They suck more air since the round purifier's fan motor has more RPMs. They have to run faster to get efficient removal of pm2.5 compared to rectangular ones. This is the opinion of some people here. I have not measured it myself though. Filter life is 90% remaining according to the Xiaomi app. I feel it's going to last 4 months for me at least because the performance is exactly like it was new. Also consider that it's Delhi's pollution in winters. If I use the same purifier in summers, it's going to last even longer. Maybe twice times of winters.

I have been using mi air purifier 4 lite for past 1 year and my overall experience has been positive. Main benefit of this air purifier is that it has a display which shows current aqi level , temperature and humidity which other air purifier lacks. Its replacement filer is also easy to find unlike other air purifiers.

a.4 lite covers , smaller area/cadr vs 4 has more cadr. b.4 lite don't have ionizer, but 4 have/can be turned on/off via mobile app. c.4 lite, filter life is less as compared to 4(on paper only), in such high aqi you need to change the filter almost at the same interval. Note: please do some research on the air purifier, like device recirculates the air how many times in a interval.

While I agree that Dyson has excellent customer support, their products don't quite live up to the hype. Regarding the cheap plastic smell from Coway, I experienced something similar with the Xiaomi 4 Lite, which was quite unpleasant. In contrast, I've been using the Levoit Vital 100S, and it feels pretty good. You can check out some air purifier reviews on the Housefresh website or their YouTube channel. For a 25m² room, the Levoit Vital 200S should suffice. For larger rooms, the Levoit EverestAir is a solid option, or the Smart Air Blast Mini, Winx zero+ pro. However, I must mention that the filter cost for Smart Air is quite high. The Levoit Vital 200S can handle VOCs and odors, but the amount of activated carbon is not great, so it can't handle if VOCs and odor in your room are really bad. On the plus side, the replacement filters cost only $14 in my country. I believe the Levoit EverestAir or Winix is a worthwhile choice for you to purchase. You should check the filter cost of each Air purifier and how long it lasts to considers, and it should comes with a seperate Activated carbon filter so that you can replace it if needed. Activated carbon filter doesn't last long if you constantly dealing with VOCs and Odor. As I know Levoit EverestAir has a Activated carbon filter sticking with the Hepa filter, so you can only replace both of them, not seperately. I dont dealing much with VOCs, so usually I will go with Levoit. But if VOCs and odor really is your concern, the Austin HealthMate and IQair HealthPro Plus is the choice because they have a lots of activated carbon. But their filter is so expensive for me to even think about it. For cheaper option... How about AC Infinity with Refillable Carbon Filters? A DIY option but works better than most 1000$ unit.

If may budget, go for **[Everest Air Purifier](https://s.shopee.ph/7KnIbIT7x2)** na. This one has 5 stages double HEPA filters na: Double HEPA Filter, Double Activated Carbon Filter, Double Photo Catalyst Filter, UV Light Sterilization, and Ionizer (negative ions). Unlike others na upto 3 HEPA Filters lang. If want mo ng dual function iyong **[JML Dehumidifier](https://s.shopee.ph/10hs8oXy4)** is 2in1 na since dehumidifier na + air purifier na iyan. Much better option din compared sa [Simplus](https://s.shopee.ph/4q5xd6GW13). Good cheaper alternative would be si **[Xiaomi Air Purifier 4 Lite](https://s.shopee.ph/AUkKNaFjpE)**. This one has 3-stage (pre-filter, HEPA-like high efficiency, activated carbon) filter. Power is only 33W so very energy efficient. May Google/Alexa Support na rin. Maganda rin certification niya. TÜV Rheinland Allergy Care certified for allergen filtration (like pollen, pet fur, dust mites, etc.). Or kaya iyong **[Xiaomi Smart Pet Care Air Purifier](https://s.shopee.ph/50PNvXbGmX)**. 27W lang with 3 layer of Hepa Filter. Pet friendly na rin ito. Very effective rin for **odor absorption** like pet urine, saliva, and their foods. Okay din naman si **[Simplus Air Purifier](https://s.shopee.ph/10hxuFRg2)** affordable and good din naman ang Hepa Filter niya. I think yung mga dehumidifier nila ang medyo panget since mostly 1L. Pero if medyo gipit, good option din ito.

All cheap round purifiers in this price range are the same, mostly. The Xiaomi will clean air very well, but filters clog up quickly. It’s a budget unit and if you use a sock as you’ve described you can lower your filter replacement costs.

There are two differences. 1. 4 lite doesn't have a negative ion releaser, which is not important for an air purifier, also it can create ozone (debatable) which is harmful for you. 2. 4 lite has lower CADR of 360 m³/hr while 4 has 400 m³/hr. So choose 4 lite for smaller rooms 250-300 sqft. And 4 for upto 450 sqft. Also if your rooms height is very high do choose bigger air purifier.

Removed the plastic from everywhere, yep. And I've just been using the automatic mode, haven't connected it to the app yet to set up the manual mode. So in automatic, would you say it sounds louder than what a ceiling fan on high speed sounds like? Maybe 2x of that? AQI reading wise, I turned it on 40 minutes back when it showed 600 and now it's hovering in the 540-550 range. And yes leakages could be an issue, I'll try to plug it asap. Also yes it does sound much quieter and unnoticeable in sleep mode. But wanted to check if the sound on automatic is too much to ensure that it wasn't defective. Thanks a lot for your help btw! Edit: okay I didn't remove *all* the plastic lol, just realised that. It sounds slightly better now and AQI is falling at a faster rate, but I think there is still quite a decent amount of noise, maybe it'll get better once the reading gets sufficiently low, let me see

The sensors on many of the cheaper air cleaners are not that great. Just make sure you get an air cleaner that fits with the size of the room and you'll be fine. Low price : XPXHome with an extra filter many times for around 750-800 thb Medium : Any Xiaomi, which you can control via an app if you want.
