The uppa baby cruz is not convertible for two fyi. I also wanted the Triv but with the tariffs is got way to pricey, my compromise and have LOVED so far is my baby jogger city mini air. The fold is just a single pull fold is super small to fit easy in my trunk the canopy is better then the triv and all for a fraction of the price! My only con is that it can’t parent face but for the price and better canopy I was okay with losing that one feature. Plus its a brand Im familiar with (my sister has two a single thats 12 years old and a double thats 9 years old ) and they’re still in great shape and in use so we plan to have this one for just as long hopefully.
Crib: Delta Children. Not too expensive and really beautiful. Convertible to toddler bed and full sized. We’re buying the extra attachments and keeping them in storage. Changing table/dresser: Delta Children. Not overly expensive, with a removable changing top. My husband said the one we picked out took forever to put together but it’s really really nice. Car seat one: Evenflo 360 slim. Got it for an amazing price and we hopefully won’t need another car seat for years to come. This one is for 4lbs (rear facing) to 65lbs (once front facing). Works great in our SUV and our smaller SUV. Car seat two: Well probably get another Evenflo in a light color for my black car to help try to keep the seat cooler. But we’re trying to decide if we want to get a true infant seat for my car to go onto our stroller. If we get an infant seat it’ll be a graco one or the Baby Jogger City Go 2, since they both work with our stroller. Stroller: I didn’t want to spend $1,000+ on our stroller, but I wanted something with larger wheels, lighter color, something that would last from newborn to hopefully when the toddler no longer wants to use it, something that could be easily folded up by myself. I landed on the Baby Jogger City Mini Air lightweight stroller. This isn’t the “smallest” stroller but fits in my smaller suv hatch without any problems at all. It has a massive shade, great wheels, looks very nice, and has a good sized storage basket. I also was able to get it on an incredible sale. Baby monitor: The nanit! Our baby isn’t here just yet so I don’t have a full review of this, but we have it set up and we’re really excited for it. We love the idea of the breathing band. Swing: Graco Sooth My Way Swing with removable rocker. This was gifted to us off of our registry and we love it so much. It’s lightweight 22lbs for the entire thing, so I can move it around myself. The removable rocker is going to be so dang convenient. With so many options there will be a setting the baby likes.
So I highly, HIGLY recommend getting different strollers at different times if you're going used and not planning on spending 3k on a stroller. I had a Chicco stroller front and back that fit the car seats and it was 8000lbs. It was a nightmare to bring in public. I ended up picking up a joovy twin frame only for the car seats and that was great and much lighter. It still felt like a boat, but I think anything will if you want it compatible with two infant seats. After we got out of the infant seats, a friend gave us a city mini jogging stroller (LOVE THIS THING) side to side and I got a double umbrella stroller. Both of which fit excellently through doors and I alternate based on whether we are doing a lot of walking or not, because the city mini is still a beast folded up, whereas the umbrella stroller fits by their feet in the car. I also spent last summer using a fold up utility wagon and they just stood up like meerkats. The utility wagon was awesome for long outings at the park and I could put whatever else in there. I haven't tried it this year yet, they're 2 and might try to escape, but that's was $40 well spent. I really recommend getting different strollers (cheaply) that fit different situations than trying to get a one size fits all, because a one size fits all will likely just be cumbersome in all situations, unless you're spending thousands. My overall used stroller expenses (double Chicco, city mini, joovy twin roo, wagon, double umbrella stroller) ended up totalling $160 by getting everything used or clearance or gifted, and we found exactly what we like. Used is totally the way to go!
I’ve noticed a lot of newer more expensive strollers lack functionality features. Such as not reclining and a bar but no snack tray. Stroller naps were so huge for me and my citi mini reclined fully to lay flat. I would suggest not buying s stroller that looks great but lacks practical features.
Citi mini. I actually purchased one after renting it at Disney
I like to use scooterbug or kingdom strollers and rent one. the citi mini was the easiest to fold up and it was nice not to have to try to fly with it. We don’t use one at home anymore but we use one at Disney because it’s so much walking, so this way we don’t buy something we won’t use.
