Yes to the good stroller! I got. City select thinking I would like the single to double on marketplace but didn’t realize how hard it would be to push once I had two kids in it. I still have it but only use it for one and bought a double bob and then a single bob.

I liked getting a double that can work as a single. That said, it's MASSIVE and we have a smaller, single stroller that is our main go-to. Facebook marketplace is awesome for this. I got a baby jogger double with several add ons for $100! Everything is washable and it was good as new after I did that. My first was 2.5 when my second was born. We still use the double now but not as much as when they were both littler.

I love my Baby Jogger city select single to double stroller. Can buy adapters to fit with most infant carriers, can do tons of single to double figurations, has bassinet attachments, can add a rider board to the back to carry up to 3 kids. So sturdy it can handle any terrain. The only negative is that if you’re looking for something really sturdy, high quality and can fit two kids, it’s probably going to be a bit of a tank. That being said I still find mine easy enough to fold/unfold. I bought mine secondhand in great condition. I think they were the trendy stroller about 10 years ago but they’re so well made that people can still sell them used for $150-$300 in very good condition. Paid maybe $300 total for something that originally would’ve cost $1000 and looks exactly like any stroller would after just a couple months of use

Depending on your lifestyle you can absolutely get by with just one, or even none. I do not have that kind of lifestyle😂. I had two for my first, a standard Graco stroller and an umbrella stroller. I would have been fine with just one, but the umbrella stroller was $5 and pink, turns out it's one of my favorite strollers still(Maclaren Volo). I have *so many* strollers now. I live in a crazy city, have two small kids, and one of them has Down Syndrome and is a runner, so strollers get used a lot in our daily lives. I actually have even more than 'my' strollers, because I pick up strollers people have thrown out and fix them up to donate(fix them up is a generous description, almost all they ever need is a wash). Also my husband's truck doesn't fit in our garage, so we have a lot of space for it all. I'm just going to list the ones we actually use.. A double and a single Bob, the single is from '09 and about to go, and we won't be replacing it. My husband runs with them, I use them for anything seriously off-road(stroller friendly hikes, farms, etc) City Select Lux double for my everyday stroller. It lives in my van and is an absolute workhorse. The Maclaren from my first, and a newer, nicer Maclaren. I wish they still made strollers because the newer one is so handy for travel, it's light, but super sturdy and the basket holds a lot. Also it's a single but it has a 75# limit, so on a recent trip we had both kids sitting in it when we needed. GB pockit for small places, like Drs offices or small shops. 2 City Minis for when we're going somewhere as a family but will be splitting up, like a mall. Honestly we could do without these two and just use the ones above, but one's my husband's favorite color and one's my favorite color, so they stay and get used a lot😂.

Same I sold our vista for the baby jogger double when my youngest was 6 months old. I wanted my baby up top but it was hard to maneuver with my oldest on the bottom. We still use the baby jogger and they are almost 2.5/almost 4.

I went through a few strollers, mostly because surprise, twins! Ultimately I decided it was unreasonable to expect 1 stroller to do everything well. But if I had it all to do again, there were 2 strollers that could have taken me through birth to 4ish. A solid multimodal strollers- in my case, the City Select. With adapters, it went from birth up. I had a roller board for my toddler. It was an easy push over rougher terrain, though not quite on level of a jogging stroller. Didn’t tip easily. But it was heavy. A lightweight travel stroller- for me this was a ZOE. Loved how light it was, had snack cups, and the deepest sun shades for napping kids. Could steer the double with 1 hand, which was necessary with a toddler in tow. Quick fold, sturdy for how light it was. But didn’t work from birth (I think they have a model that does now) and wasn’t great on uneven sidewalks or over grass at the park or something. Most umbrella strollers are too short for me to push comfortably (5’10”) much less my husband (6’4”). The ZOE was perfect for me, but my husband did have to stoop a little. We travel a fair bit, so it really was worth it to me to have a really good travel stroller. If I was living in the suburbs and didn’t travel much, the city select could have easily taken us from birth to preschool, kid 1-3. Maybe you’re a runner or live in the country and a jogging stroller is a must. If you take public transit a lot, you’d want something narrow and super easy to fold. You really have to take into consideration what your lifestyle and priorities are.

Oh good lord, we have 4 plus a wagon 🫣 we have a single BOB jogger, a double BOB jogger, a city select with 2 seats but can be adjusted for single, a charriot 2 seater that has the jogger, the stroller, the bike trailer and the ski options. Yes, it’s overkill but honestly they all have their place. We keep the city select one in another province so we can avoid travelling with a stroller when visiting my family. Both BOBs are in rotation in seasons that aren’t winter since where we live experiences -40 degree temperatures. And the chariot is mostly used for its ability to be a trailer and a ski pulk. The wagon comes out for the pool and hauling kids and all their accessories. IMO there isn’t a one and done stroller option.

I currently have 3 but I’m supposed to be getting rid of one. Graco umbrella which we keep in my husbands car as either of our kids can use it. City select lux with bench seat which I keep in my car because it’s easier when I go out by myself with both kids. And then there’s the city select double that’s left open in the garage where I set the baby down daily. I’ll get rid of it eventually lol

If you plan to have more than one child somewhat close together then a city select with all the different attachments of your choice is phenomenal. We have had one and use the hell out of it. Various parts are lifetime warranty and we have sure needed to take them up on it a few times. It’s fairly popular and you may find one second hand but they require the original purchase receipt for the warranty. I can’t really speak for any other brands but we are very satisfied with our purchase. I also had some serious sticker shock when we started looking too. Good luck.

One at home, one for the car. I have a detached garage and it’s too hard to log them back-and-forth. now that I have a newborn and a toddler, we got the terrain pivot wagon, and the city select double stroller too, which took so much research to choose. And then we still have the two single strollers. I have some repetitive stress injuries in my wrists, so lifting and pushing has to be done carefully to minimize further damage.
