We have one stroller, the City Select Luxe, its convenient enough to fold up into the back of our car and take it anywhere but durable enough for trail walks. I wouldnt say its lightweight but its a good happy middle ground for those of us who dont want 2 strollers. Also conveniently can be converted into a 2 seater if you end up having a 2nd kid.
Depending on your lifestyle you can absolutely get by with just one, or even none. I do not have that kind of lifestyleš. I had two for my first, a standard Graco stroller and an umbrella stroller. I would have been fine with just one, but the umbrella stroller was $5 and pink, turns out it's one of my favorite strollers still(Maclaren Volo). I have *so many* strollers now. I live in a crazy city, have two small kids, and one of them has Down Syndrome and is a runner, so strollers get used a lot in our daily lives. I actually have even more than 'my' strollers, because I pick up strollers people have thrown out and fix them up to donate(fix them up is a generous description, almost all they ever need is a wash). Also my husband's truck doesn't fit in our garage, so we have a lot of space for it all. I'm just going to list the ones we actually use.. A double and a single Bob, the single is from '09 and about to go, and we won't be replacing it. My husband runs with them, I use them for anything seriously off-road(stroller friendly hikes, farms, etc) City Select Lux double for my everyday stroller. It lives in my van and is an absolute workhorse. The Maclaren from my first, and a newer, nicer Maclaren. I wish they still made strollers because the newer one is so handy for travel, it's light, but super sturdy and the basket holds a lot. Also it's a single but it has a 75# limit, so on a recent trip we had both kids sitting in it when we needed. GB pockit for small places, like Drs offices or small shops. 2 City Minis for when we're going somewhere as a family but will be splitting up, like a mall. Honestly we could do without these two and just use the ones above, but one's my husband's favorite color and one's my favorite color, so they stay and get used a lotš.
I love the sit and stand option for my 5 year old. I got a city select lux with the bench seat off marketplace. Zoo, festivals, long walks, etc, she has a place to take a break if needed
I have a compact stroller(graco breaze) and city select lux which I can use single or double(bench seat for my oldest) and 2 wagons. The compact one stays in my car and is used the most for day to day like school drop off/pick ups and running into a store/mall
I have a city select lux. My 5 year old uses the bench seat and 1 year old in the toddler seat. It has been working great for us. With the big basket we barely have to carry anything
I feel like the baby jogger stroller doesnāt get enough recognition. We have the older version of the city select lux
We had a double stroller (city select lux) we did baby in car seat and toddler in stroller seat (in lower position) and then the following year transitioned to younger one in stroller seat and older one on a glider board. But if itās just car to somewhere I would get toddler out first, have him stand behind the car, and then carry baby in the car seat (so it was fast to get out). Ours were 20 months apart.
[a double](https://foolsterroir.wordpress.com/2022/04/01/two-prams-later/) feels a lot safer and heavier though, and i ended up using the extra space for storage.
Iām only 6ā0 and purchased the baby jogger city select lux when I had my first set in 2019 and the handle extends up to accommodate for a little board bigger kids can ride while someone is pushing the stroller. I never bought the attachment but the handle height was perfect for me. Iāve never used it not raised š
