I went with the BabyTrend stroller/car seat combo from Amazon. It's been great so far. The stroller is easy to pop up/collapse, and the base of the car seat installs right into the frame loops in the back seat. The car seat has the easy grip handle placement so it's nice to carry around, and the stroller is multifunctional for when baby grows into the toddler stage.
Took [this ](https://x.com/DealHopperHQ/status/1964932393074344004)out in the park yesterday. It’s smooth, sturdy, and my toddler passed out in it without protest. Worth every penny for walk-ups.
I just bought a used bob expedition and it’s good up to 60 lbs. I absolutely love it. Haven’t used it in winter yet but handles our lack of sidewalks and everything else like a breeze.
I have a baby trend zero flat! We Love it! We had also had a second hand Graco fast action we got rid of it. The baby trend is fairly light for a jogger and has great shocks, And the fact you don't have to pump tires is great. It also has running lights.
So, this is my personal experience: Back in 2023, my wife and I took my oldest daughter to Disneyland, we used the Chico Bravo folding stroller which folds pretty compact and is good quality. It would be more storage than your smaller compact strollers but small enough that they fit through X Rays. We did Disneyland only, and just one day, and walked about 15-20 minutes from our hotel to the park gate area. Last February, we did a four day Disney World trip with a Babytrend Expedition double, with a 3 and 1 year old in the stroller. Obviously significantly more space since it’s a double, but the single version has significantly more space than my Chicco Bravo for 2 or my single Chicco bravo that we used on the Disneyland trip. The Chicco is easy enough to maneuver until you start loading it with stuff. If you plan on purchasing souvenirs it means you’ll need to carry more. It’s a bit harder store things. It’s very light but if your daughter is going to be in it a lot, then it’s not something I recommend. I hold this opinion with most compact, lightweight strollers. The Babytrend is a heavier stroller, and is a jogger type stroller. Mine is a double so it’s quite a bit larger but the single looks to be about 2/3 the size of the double, so I wouldn’t say it’s a compact stroller but it still folds up pretty small. The storage on the single looks to be significantly more, you could fit a reasonably full backpack under the seat. As long as you keep the weight down at the bottom, it maneuvers about the same full vs empty. You take up more space in public but not a significant amount more IMO. My recommendations: I’m assuming you’re doing a 3-5 park day trip, or park hopping with 2-4 days. I personally would recommend using the Babytrend Expedition single, which is priced at $140 at my Target according to google. It’s not a “compact” stroller but just about any compact stroller is going to be less enjoyable to push a child in for days at a time, especially if you don’t push a child in a stroller for a long time on a regular basis. If you absolutely HAVE to use a compact stroller, look for one with three wheels. Like the Graco Outpace ($220) at target or the Babytrend Tango 3 ($150) at Walmart. I recommend something with inflatable wheels, since it’s gonna be better at going up sidewalk curbs, multiple terrains, and be more comfortable pushing for long terms. I do not have any experience with park strollers so can’t offer insight there.
I like the Baby Trend Expedition jogging stroller. Car seat clicks in when they're little so you can use as regular stroller and then you can use it as a jogger once they're old enough to sit up. My oldest is 7 and I'm pregnant with my third so I can attest that it holds up!
With my 2 under 2, I found it easier to baby wear the youngest for the first 8ish months. I’d put the older one in the single stroller or cart when we were shopping. With my older 2 kids (28 months apart) we definitely used the double stroller for walks in the summer. I have a baby trend expedition single and double. I think the double was only like $200. I’ve had it for almost 3 years and it’s held up really well. I ended up with 3 under 4 and if I had known I’d have 3 kids so close, I wish I would have gone right for the 4 seater wagon.
I have the graco gast action jogger and the baby trend expedition jogger. Both were secondhand but have served us very well! Would recommend either. To be fair, I'm not a runner, so my husband and I have each used them for a few jogs, but otherwise we use them for long walks, and the baby trend is my "daily driver" that I'll use for errands.
