Yes I was coming to recommend this one too. The other day I was late and put my baby in the carrier and my tall 4yo in it and power walked on pretty uneven sidewalks and over gravel for 2km in it. Very smooth.
I’ve had multiple. 1. Baby jogger (got used to death, walks from home on the rough walking trails near my house for 5km + each day had it looking pretty rough) 2. Babybee Luna mini. Lives in my car. Have used for tall 3yo and baby. Very good. 3. Double running trailer/pram (generic brand cost $350ish) I don’t love it, a bit heavy to steer. My husband uses it more than me. But good for toddler to sit in with room to put their bike etc next to them so you don’t have to carry it. Can put their lunch box/water next to them as well. 4. Bumbleride Speed. Just got this recently. Suspension is amazing - easy to steer while running even with a 18kg 4yo in it. Higher weight limit than a Thule pram which is what attracted me. I do a lot of walks from home, I don’t like getting my pram out of the car and then having to remember to put it back in every day.
I have a Babybee Luna Mini and am very happy with it. Something I've learned in this wild journey is that they're things you buy when pregnant, and then there are things you buy after pregnancy when baby is here and you know each other better. While I know you are relatively free in budget, maybe keep an open mind and know this pram might not be the only one you use and don't go too crazy down the research rabbit hole, just pick one that suits your taste, muscles, and size of your house/car.
I had a Babybee Luna Mini, and liked it, but then around 10 months my baby hated being in it. So I got a Nuna Mixx off Facebook for $200 and absolutely love it, and my baby is happier facing me. We also bought a SmarTrike stroller for walks which now means he cries less when we're walking to the park. Don't overthink it, find something that will fit in your car, is easy to fold, and suits your budget. After my experience, I'd also recommend something that can change whether it's forward facing or parent facing. I've found that a lot of the stuff I bought while I was pregnant, was a bit useless afterwards, turns out babies have personalities and preferences too lol
Have a look at the luna mini pram by baby bee. I bought it as I have a small car and it has an extra tall seat (my hubby is tall). It is easy to open and close. Only downside is the basket is a little close to the seat but I still fit heaps in there. Also lays completely flat so bub can go straight into it. I bought the bassinet cocoon attachment but bub hated it. Loved the seat though
The Bugaboo Luna mini is fantastic if you don’t need to take on an actual plane, only $350 brand new at the moment.
Go with a babybee. They have such a good range and reasonably priced (can’t remember if under 1k). It might be a little hard to tick off your wish list ( not impossible) because not all of those attributes can go together. But depends on what you compromise on. For example most that I found have a large basket, aren’t as easy folded (doesn’t fold in 1 piece and not 1 handed). Most that are actually light weight (like a travel style) aren’t a double and didn’t have a large basket. Etc etc. but have a look around and also go try some out, some of the popular ones that I thought I wanted, upon trying it out I didn’t like as much.
I agree - my Babybee was great!
The yoyo is not a one handed fold! Would not get it if just you and baby. I second the suggestion for the babybee but also maybe have a look at the edwards and co lucci.
