Controversial opinion: don’t get 1 do it all stroller. Get several “specialty” strollers, optimized for a specific purpose and buy them used/cheap (unless you have 1 type you want to splurge on). Example: We bought a used graco click-lock that worked with his car seat. It lived in the car. We did some travel, so bought a significantly cheaper knock-off version of the Bugaboo Butterfly. Finally, we wanted a really good jogging stroller so splurged on a Bob All-terrain. Had an adapter for the car seat until he outgrew it. All three of those combined NEW (even if you max out with the BOB All-terrain Pro) come out to less than the Bugaboo Fox 5. And you may not need all of those and/or can buy in stages.
r/daddit • Stroller talk ->Used for almost everything, the only thing worth splurging on is a BOB. Everything other than a jogging stroller is the same basic design. The move is to buy them used/cheap as possible, then you can buy multiple strollers that each meet a certain need for the same price as a new “jack of all trades” stroller that won’t be. We have a BOB all terrain (the big purchase, because we run with him) and then an ultra compact one for travel, we also had what was essentially a Graco cart that his car seat clipped into (but didn’t have a seat otherwise) for when he was <1 year.
r/daddit • Wife is 15 weeks - went down a stroller rabbit hole… ->With very few exceptions, all our baby clothes were used. We had a local consignment store that would do a “bag sale” to clear out inventory…fill a standard plastic shopping bag for $10. We also had a neighborhood sale and free porch pickup group we sourced tons of stuff from (and passed along things we outgrew). Some stuff is worth splurging on…we both love our BOB jogging stroller and it’s a tank. But so much stuff is going to basically be expendable, so buy it with that mindset!
r/daddit • How much should I budget for first baby? ->We went with the BOB Allterrain so can’t speak to those two strollers specifically but we love the jogger- we’ve even taken it golfing. Just popping in to say I would absolutely still plan to get a smaller stroller for travel. We do frequent indoor spaces a little more frequently and for shopping, so I actually have three strollers 🙃 (important to note, I only paid full price for our travel stroller, the other two we got at KILLER deals otherwise I think my husband would leave me for having 3 lol). We have an Uppababy Cruz for day to day and then the Graco Ready2Jet for traveling - it’s light weight, folds easily, and has a decent under basket - not as big as the uppa or bob but still good enough and much easier to travel with. We got it from Costco for like $100. The jogging stroller is so big even when folded and takes up a majority of the trunk space in my jeep. It would be a pain IMO for air travel and I would be very annoyed losing half of my cargo space on road trips.
r/fitpregnancy • FTM Jogging Stroller Help - Thule Urban Glide 3 or Uppababy Ridge ->I have a BOB stroller as my main. My little guy is only 5 months old so the infant car seat adapter has been so easy to use! Its gone everywhere! I dont even care how bulky it is, that thing is versatile and smooth af. I have a summer stroller a friend gave us as a lighter on the go stroller for when he gets older.
r/NewParents • Who else has 2 or more strollers and one kid? Are my stroller choices justified? ->THIS. Now, I did get a brand new Bob All Terrain Pro as a gift (first grandchild on both sides....), but I specifically requested a used one on marketplace. My parents were adamant that their only grand son would have a brand new stroller. Lol okay then, thanks! But there are soo many on marketplace and theyre awesome strollers! If you want to take any off road trails, apple orchards (tis the season) or live on a dirt road - the BOB is THE stroller. I've taken it everywhere! And if I am in the city - lol what sidewalk crack? Don't even feel them. Smooth as butter! I swear by the BOB. For infant car seats - so easy too! The the appropriate adapter, my chicco keyfit 35 snaps right in and off we go. (Bought the carseat from a friend who also has a BOB stroller).
r/NewParents • Running parents, thoughts on jogging strollers? ->Totally dependent on your lifestyle and needs! I live on a dirt road so the best stroller for me has been a BOB. Given my choice in a stroller with insane suspension - an infant car seat with an adapter was necessary. I had purchased a used Chicco Keyfit 35 from a friend who was one and done because it doesnt expire until 2030 and came with two cardiac seat bases for each of our vehicles!
r/NewParents • Did you use an infant car seat or convertible? What stroller? ->I second your point about it depends where you live and what lifestyle you're living. Bob stroller with infant car seat attachment is the route we're going and it will be the main and only stroller. I live in a rural area on a dirt road , so any daily walks I take, I can't use a stroller with less suspension. Going to grandparents camper? Same deal. Going to the racetrack to watch daddy race? Same deal. We don't have small cars, so trunk space is no bother, but heck, my friend has a Bob and drives a Ford focus, and it fits her trunk fine! Tested hers out at an apple orchard and was amazed by the smooth ride - it sold me. Lol
r/fitpregnancy • Stroller options: jogging stroller for everyday use as well? ->Bob stroller owner here - don't let the hand brake get you down - these are adjustable. Sincerely, a dirt biking/bicycling couple.
r/fitpregnancy • Jogging/All-Terrain Strollers - My Thoughts After Seeing Multiple In Person! ->I strongly preferred babywearing on trails from birth. You might want to look into that! Jogging strollers (Thule/Bob) usually have good suspension for trails. I have a Bob All Terrain Pro that is great!
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Looking for trail-ready travel‑system [on] ->Bugaboo donkey 5, bugaboo fox 5 renew, or BOB all terrain pro (I have the last 2 I suggested), best purchases ever. Especially the BOB. It goes through snow, ice, grass, sand, etc with 0 problem.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller recommendations, smaller than vista but more comfortable than a travel stroller [on] ->Commenting to agree. I’ve lived in Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and then back to Ontario - it’s been through snow, sand, country lift, etc and it’s still in almost perfect condition.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ca] Stroller for country life ->BOB all terrain with car seat adaptor ! The best stroller I’ve ever owned.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ca] Stroller for country life ->Thule. Bob. Uppababy Ridge. On my second kid and been through my fair share of strollers living in a city that isn't always quick to clear sidewalks after a snowstorm (and we walk to daycare + school daily). Bob was a dream. Loved it. Uppababy Ridge was fantastic in snow but heavy. We used the Bob up until my kid was 4.5. The Ridge was not meant for older kids. Haven't tried the Thule (besides moving friends strollers to see ) but overall hear good things about it in Winters.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller recommendations - gravel roads, 4 season weather [ON] ->My unasked for two cents as a former BoB owner and now Ridge owner: Ridge is HEAVY. I so much preferred the Bob, felt lighter and had a suspension system that felt like it was floating. Ridge... nice stroller but heavy AF. Complete regret buying it.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • I Tried Multiple All-Terrain Strollers in Person - My Thoughts! [on] ->100%. I had a BoB for 2 years+ used daily walking and running. The Ridge I've had for 9 months (also used daily in all sorts of environments and weather) and hands down prefer the Bob for functionality and ease/lightness/shocks over street bumps or rough terrain. The Ridge, while more sleek and nice looking (and quite sturdy) is a pain to navigate daily. I love all the Uppababy assets (bassinet, etc), but I regret giving away our Bob for the Ridge.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • I Tried Multiple All-Terrain Strollers in Person - My Thoughts! [on] ->I know you're not a fan of the jogger styles but I'll tell you this (as a 6ft woman): I resisted the City Jogger Mini GT despite it being recommended by all my mom friends. Went with Graco (the WORST). Then BoB (amazing suspension, used it up until my first turned 4)). Then bought an Uppababy. And everytime i used my friends City Jogger I had buyers remorse for NOT getting it. My husband pushed for the Uppababy and even HE has buyers remorse and wishes we went with the city Jogger Mini GT2 (latest model) All my friends have used it till their kids hit kindergarten. Was great in both Summer and Winter.
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Stroller travel system recommendations for baby up to toddler [ON] ->Bob stroller! Has a wonderful suspension system and feels lighter than some of the other ones. Ive used it on uncleared city sidewalks in the winter on the daily (where its basically one giant hill or small mounds of snow after another) and it was heavensent lol
r/BabyBumpsCanada • [ca] Stroller for country life ->I have been on the hunt for the perfect jogging / all-terrain, four season (most important aspect for me) stroller. After months of researching strollers online, and using this sub as a reference, I had the opportunity to go to a store that had them all to check them out - It was CONFUSING that it went so differently than I anticipated. BEFORE testing & based solely on internet research I ranked my top options to be: 1. Bugaboo Fox / Donkey (On my list as many people say it did well on rougher surfaces, seemed premium for features, easy to grow with, and highly rated) 2. Bumbleride Era / Indie 3. BOB All-terrain Pro (impressive longevity, suspension, and praised as the holy grail of off-road) 4. Thule Urban Glide 3 (well loved for jogging) 5. Veer Switch & Jog 6. Guava Roam 7. Uppababy Ridge I got the chance to see / push the following and here is what I found/noted: - Bugaboo: Wasn’t as amazed as I thought I would be for the price point. Seems like good quality, but pushes and fairs only average compared to the other jogging oriented strollers. Seems like an overpriced luxe brand IMO. I liked the following strollers much more in general. - Bumbleride: I REALLY wanted to love this the most, but didn’t at all. Only got the chance to see the Era. I thought the seat was very good quality and was nice to be able to flip around or lay flat. Comes with bumper bar. Pushed fairly nice. The cork handle didn’t feel very ergonomic compared to others. No hand brake. Didn’t feel as sturdy/stable as the rest. Maybe the Indie would maneuver better? Unfortunately, I wasn’t blown away with this. - BOB: Very solidly built stroller. DID NOT like the hand brake - found it hard / takes a lot of force to use. Pushed pretty smoothly, but not as well as the next 3. The harness was harder to click than the rest. Minor, but didn’t love the feel of the handle. Folds easier than the Thule. - Thule: Pushes like a dream. Brake system is on point. LOVED the twist hand break - so easy and effective. Big fan of the zip covered storage bottom. Seat seems about the same as the BOB - good. Harness is alright to use but not my favorite. This handlebar is the BEST of them all - very ergonomic, comfortable design, comfortable material, and adjustable too. Similar fold to the BOB, but not quite as smooth as you have to note the locking mechanism - only VERY minorly more work than the BOB, not enough to matter much. - Uppababy Ridge: A pleasant surprise - wasn’t expecting to be so impressed. Pushed GREAT - better than the BOB, not quite as smooth as the Thule. Feels bigger and handle feels higher than the others but very sturdy. Hand brake worked excellently. Covered storage basked very nice. The front wheel lock is just a push button on top that glows green (I think when it was locked). The dual foot breaks (one red and green) felt a little gimmicky/ unnecessary. Harness clicked beautifully easily - one of the easiest. Seat seemed nice and roomy. Husband thought the disc brake design wasn’t the best idea and was tacky. I wish it had air instead of foam tires. - Baby Jogger Summit X3: A PLEASANT SURPRISE - wasn’t even on my list, but glad we saw it!! Solidly built. Suspension seemed awesome. Pushed great! Maybe not as smooth as Thule, but on par with the Uppababy Ridge and slightly better than BOB. Nice seat. Harness was the easiest to click and unclick, brakes worked great, EASIEST fold, front wheel lock is on the side of the stroller so no need to go to the front, handlebar a little odd texture but not bad and preferred it over the BOB. This stroller had me second guessing everything, but the online reviews are only so-so, and the wheel shook a little (felt like a touch off/bump), but wondering if it’s because the wheels were kind of flat? However, I do see some reviews with the same complaint. If I knew that weren’t a problem that stroller seemed elite. - Veer Switch& : Unfortunately didn’t get to see this, but did find the seat itself in person and the seat looked VERY well built, but maybe a little on the smaller/narrow side? I just wanted to share my experience / thoughts, as I know most people don’t get a chance to try multiple different strollers! Has anyone else tried multiple of these? Any experiences / thoughts?

r/Buyingforbaby • I Tried Multiple All-Terrain / Jogging Strollers in Person - My Thoughts ->I had a nuna which I liked but I ended up using the bob jogger pro or something like that. It was way smoother than any other stroller we tried. I liked that I could take it to parks and more rugged places too. It’s pretty bulky though, you can take the front wheel off when you need to pop it in your trunk though.
r/AskSF • Parents Question --Which Stroller to buy for SF living? ->Just got an indie twin and love it! I also have a BOB but much prefer Bumbleride.
r/Buyingforbaby • I Tried Multiple All-Terrain / Jogging Strollers in Person - My Thoughts ->Definitely spend the money for a nice all terrain stroller if you do those things. It will get dirty but that’s what those types of strollers are for. Maybe get a BOB for the park and the Nuna for everyday strolls. From my experience testing strollers and having three, the more expensive strollers just feel better and are smoother.
r/BabyBumps • Best all-terrain stroller/travel system ->Check it fits in your trunk. Like the Bob pro fits in a civic trunk front to back or side to side with room, but not a Crosstrek. I also have a stroller with small tires.... It's only used if we are forced to, like you can't hop a curb with it or get over even small sidewalks bumps where as our Bob you just keep on walking.
