I got one of these for free (the benefit of being the last of my siblings to have kids lol) and I find it good for shopping. I have an SUV though so getting it in and out isn’t much of a problem. I wouldn’t even bother on our Canadian sidewalks with it though. Especially in winter or spring with the ice salt and gravel on the roads I don’t think we’d make it far. I got a second have BOB stroller… I freaking love that thing. I take it on forest paths all the time, and through the snow the other day lol. but nothing will ever outdo the ergo baby carrier. I have 4 different carriers (I didn’t buy any of them) and my child still lives in the ergo baby. I used it to fly internationally and I’m so happy I didn’t bother with a stroller.

BOB alterrain Pro. It's a jogging stroller but it handles super well to be used on a day-to-day basis. It is a bit big but is fine for the bus and SkyTrain in Vancouver. It has big wheels that are perfect for all sorts of terrains (gravel, beach sand, snow - on our rare snow days). I've used mine essentially daily since my first was born almost 4 and a half years ago and it's still going strong. When they are little, you can get an adaptor for the car seat. I will concur that it would be better to have a bassinet option but it's such a short time.

Depends. My Bob stroller is wayyy better than my umbrella stroller. To the point I'd never suggest a stroller with small tires, they're so annoying to use anywhere with out perfectly flat ground. But the umbrella has it's use case when we need some very small, or flying.

I went full Graco for car seat and stroller, and I’ve gotta say it’s been great (I have a 2.5 yo and about to have my second).  It’s not as fancy or quite as smooth a ride maybe as the uppababy, but it’s worked great for us.  I got a BOB jogging stroller once my kid was a little bigger and we primarily used that for a long time.  Still a huge fan of our graco car seats with a toddler.  They all get held to the same safety standard, some of the price of the nicer stuff is just look and feel rather than function.

We had a Nuna that was good, but then I rented a Bob jogger on vacation and fell in love with it. I ended up buying a Thule Jogger which is going strong with kid number 2, but the Bob is a great choice too. Joggers are just better with different terrain, hop curbs easy, and are simple. The Nuna was great if you're on a smooth sidewalk or something and had too many plastic parts

I have 3. Uppababy Cruz is my everyday stroller, a BOB from fb marketplace is my winter/snow stroller, Mountain Buggy Nano is my travel stroller (has gone all over Canada, US, China, and Portugal). Love all three.

Personally i don't think there is a stroller that will fit both 1 and 2. Usually strollers that are good in snow will be jogging strollers or at least strollers with larger wheels. Even uppababy vista will get stuck in the snow and slush. Personally I have an everyday stroller that's easy to fold (in my case I have a Cruz) and a secondary stroller for winter (i bought a BOB on marketplace for $100).

Controversial opinion: don’t get 1 do it all stroller. Get several “specialty” strollers, optimized for a specific purpose and buy them used/cheap (unless you have 1 type you want to splurge on). Example: We bought a used graco click-lock that worked with his car seat. It lived in the car. We did some travel, so bought a significantly cheaper knock-off version of the Bugaboo Butterfly. Finally, we wanted a really good jogging stroller so splurged on a Bob All-terrain. Had an adapter for the car seat until he outgrew it. All three of those combined NEW (even if you max out with the BOB All-terrain Pro) come out to less than the Bugaboo Fox 5. And you may not need all of those and/or can buy in stages.

Used for almost everything, the only thing worth splurging on is a BOB. Everything other than a jogging stroller is the same basic design. The move is to buy them used/cheap as possible, then you can buy multiple strollers that each meet a certain need for the same price as a new “jack of all trades” stroller that won’t be. We have a BOB all terrain (the big purchase, because we run with him) and then an ultra compact one for travel, we also had what was essentially a Graco cart that his car seat clipped into (but didn’t have a seat otherwise) for when he was <1 year.

With very few exceptions, all our baby clothes were used. We had a local consignment store that would do a “bag sale” to clear out inventory…fill a standard plastic shopping bag for $10. We also had a neighborhood sale and free porch pickup group we sourced tons of stuff from (and passed along things we outgrew). Some stuff is worth splurging on…we both love our BOB jogging stroller and it’s a tank. But so much stuff is going to basically be expendable, so buy it with that mindset!

We had two strollers through two kids. (1) was a cheapie lightweight “umbrella” stroller that was about $20 and lasted through both kids (only damage was from birds at the zoo destroying the bag on the back that had our lunches in it while unattended) and (2) a BOB. The BOB was great and still is great (lives at our vacation rental for other families). Downside of BOB is it’s bulky and the tires need inflating a lot. You don’t need any of the BOB accessories, trust me, we bought them all. Source: I’m primary caregiver in my family so I spent tons of time behind the strollers. The boys and 8 and 10 now and I tend to research the shit out of these things, so happy to provide additional feedback.
