A model with a permanently fixed front wheel (like the Thule Glide or Bob Ironman) would be a bit annoying for day-to-day use. But any model with a wheel that can swivel and be locked as needed for jogging (most models) would be fine. A bit bulky for going in stores and whatnot, but no worse than those giant wagon strollers that seem popular these days.

I'd suggest a used Bob - in my area they are available quite cheap, under $100, and they are super solid.  Mine is from 2011 and other than a minor tear in the basket, has zero issues.

I started running again about 3-4 months PP with my oldest and have since done 3 races with her (she’s 15 months now) - we have an older style BOB I got off marketplace for $40, as I didn’t want to go all in at first until I knew if I would use it often. I kept running through my current pregnancy until about 32 weeks (I’m 37 now!) and my final run was with her in the BOB. We got a double this pregnancy so I can keep it going with both of them once I feel healed enough to run again!

I was given a single BOB and enjoy it for the most part so thats what we are sticking with for now. Do you (or anyone) know of any universal or offbrand snack trays that are compatible? Trying not to dish out $60 for the one from the brand

We had the single BOB to start but then ended up getting a double BOB (both bought used for around $100 each). Didn’t end up getting rid of the single and I do still use it when the older kids are at school and I’ve only got 1 (our gaps are 4 yrs between 1 & 2, 20 months between 2 & 3, and soon to be 2.5 yrs between 3 & 4). My 4 year old learned to ride a bike without training wheels this summer, so with 3 or 4 years difference, it could change your requirements but I still know she gets tired and needs a ride sometimes, so the double gets used at about the same amount as the single. In my many years experience, I’ve realized there is no “perfect stroller” that does it all. I have another stroller too that’s not a jogger as well as a Thule chariot. They all have their purposes and they all get used although I do prefer jogging with the double BOB over jogging with the Thule chariot jogging adapter better. It handles nicer imo.

Oh good lord, we have 4 plus a wagon 🫣 we have a single BOB jogger, a double BOB jogger, a city select with 2 seats but can be adjusted for single, a charriot 2 seater that has the jogger, the stroller, the bike trailer and the ski options. Yes, it’s overkill but honestly they all have their place. We keep the city select one in another province so we can avoid travelling with a stroller when visiting my family. Both BOBs are in rotation in seasons that aren’t winter since where we live experiences -40 degree temperatures. And the chariot is mostly used for its ability to be a trailer and a ski pulk. The wagon comes out for the pool and hauling kids and all their accessories. IMO there isn’t a one and done stroller option.

I owned both a BOB single and a Thule double jogging stroller, and honestly, the Thule was the best stroller I ever had. I’ll admit, I was a total stroller snob. We had an Uppababy, Baby Jogger, BOB, Mountain Buggy, Chicco, and Thule, and the Thule was hands down superior to all of them. I could literally push it with one finger. The best part was that when my kids finally outgrew it, I was able to sell it on Marketplace for about 75% of what I originally paid. It held its value incredibly well and still looked almost brand new.

The Chicco was our first stroller and I didn’t really know what made a stroller better in terms of push. I bought a BOB second hand and it was ok, but I truly didn’t think it was anything special. When I found out I was pregnant with my second we got the Uppababy Vista, which was smooth but so bulky. I sold that one and got a Baby Jogger City Select which I loved for daily use. Around this time I also got a Baby Jogger City Mini for travel and for quick trips to the mall or zoo as my youngest preferred baby wearing. I also had a Mountain Buggy Nano for traveling because it was so lightweight and compact. Once my youngest was old enough to take in a jogging stroller, we got the Thule Urban Glide.

I've found with my oldest 2 that they were about done with strollers by age 4. If its flat then I would have 4 year old ride a bike or scooter near you. I use to run a TON with one baby with a single BOB. I ran some with both my kids in a double BOB when they were 3 and 1, but found I started looking for ways to run without kids after having 2. Now with 3 I NEVER run with my kids and have just found creative times to get runs in sans kids, its just too hard to manage 3 kids and get the stress relief that i seek on runs. If you really want a double, I'd find a double BOB on facebook marketplace, you can get a good deal if you just watch for long enough (thats what I did)
