Willow Brook Travel System

Britax is a very reputable brand ! I just bought the willow set. My goal was to get something I could snap the car seat in and out of stroller. Also it comes with a seat for when they’re older and the versatile options to flip it!

If I was on a budget and avoiding flame retardants, I would definitely go with the Britax willow system! Chicco is great, but the reversible seat on the Britax stroller would be the deal breaker. I have the Britax poplar S and it’s an amazing convertible.

We got a mid tier. We went with the Britax willow brook system and we were very happy with it. There’s a bassinet that you can add in making the entire system a bit over $500. We got a really good sale pre-tariffs and got it the entire thing for $375. My daughter loved the bassinet attachment and it also helped to not keep her in the car seat for too long. We still got the benefits and convenience of the convertible system when we put the car seat on the stroller. We just barely stopped using it at 14 m when we got her a toddler car seat (she’s in a high height percentile.) The stroller itself can take a beating, I accidentally shut my Prius hatch on it and there was only a scuff in the mental.

I recommend buying secondhand as much as possible. Excluding safety items like car seats. My daughter was constantly outgrowing stuff as a tall baby. Highly recommend the britax willow brook stroller combo. My daughter lasted in it for a decent amount of time. If you don’t want a combo system go with the britax poplar s seat, as others said it has higher weight/ high restrictions and allows for longer rear facing. Britax are super easy to install and are a nice mid tier brand. We added the bassinet attachment for $100 on sale and felt like it was worth it. We have the baby jogger city mini stroller for walking / outdoor stuff $60 Facebook marketplace . The city select travel stroller $100 Facebook marketplace. For baby clothes stay away from carters and tell people not to buy it. Carter’s fit my tall girl the worst. Baby gap runs some really good sales and fit tall babies well. Burt’s bees baby has long sleepers and sleep sacks (they also run good sales. I thrifted a lot of my daughter’s clothes and we found that older Gymboree pre 2018 fit her the best of all, long torso and long legs. I’d beg people to not buy clothes for the fact that your child with likely grow out of them fast than other babies, our daughter was wearing mostly 6-9 and 9-12m clothing at barely 4 month old. The Chico travel bassinet lasted us longer than our skiphop one did. It’s longer and worked better. It’s normally around $100 retail we paid $10 at a yard sale. If you want a baby bouncer, buy off of marketplace. Our baby bjorn was $40 with the toybar. High chair peg perago siesta (expensive af) $50 on marketplace. Pain to clean, but if you keep up on it and buy a nuby high chair cover it isn’t as bad. Our daughter can still sit in it at 16m. As a registry tip in general, I recommend using Babylist. Make private registries on target and Amazon. Add items that you might go through more than one of, items that you’re not sure if people will buy off of your primary registry, and items you’re not sure you need but might after the baby comes. I saved tons of money this way with the completion discount. I got about 50% of money at my baby shower and saved big bucks this way. Babylist allows you to make notes for the gift giver and categories for items. We all buy baby items along the way, add those items to your registry and check off that you’ve purchased them. That way Aunt Mary sees that you already purchased the x item she had to have with her baby or if it’s not there that you don’t plan on using it. Many people get self conscious about having too many items on the registry and then well meaning gift givers give items you don’t want or need because you already have it or don’t want it. I don’t view having. A lot of items on a baby registry to be a bad thing as long as there are various price points, older relatives love to buy a bunch of $10 items and make baskets. The registry is also meant to help you organize the items you need or have. The more item you have, even when marked as purchased helps people know that you’re not forgetting something and there’s been a lot of thought put into it. My sil and I had babies 5 months apart and it was very telling at our showers of stuff like that happening. She got tons of stuff she didn’t want that cluttered up her house (50 items on hers and 100 on mine.)

We were able to use our britax brook stroller until my daughter got to be like 31 inches which was about 13 months old.

I got the britax willowbrook system on rebel.com, and im happy with it. The clicktight base installs in 30 seconds, the fabric feels thick, and the stroller can be used as a regular stoller or a frame stroller for the carseat.

1st is now 8 months, and we received a Britax willow brook travel system for a baby shower gift (it was actually not the one on our registry, so at first I was a little bit spicy about that, but I love it!). Both the infant/car seat carrier and the toddler seat can face toward or away from you. She’s just now starting to outgrow the infant car seat (she’s long!) so we’ll need to buy a convertible car seat, but the toddler stroller attachment will last until she’s 50lbs. The liners can be thrown into the wash in the event of blowouts and all the materials hold up well. The only thing it did not have that the Graco travel system that was on the registry was a bassinet attachment, but she was born in January so we likely wouldn’t have used it much anyway. It runs about $500-550 usd so it doesn’t feel like too a steep price to put on a registry (especially if a multiple people contribute)

I went with a travel system from Britax. I lived in Toronto for my first, so the bucket clicked in when baby was tiny and then the attachments get removed so the underneath is the seat with adjustable shoulder straps. I liked it as it folds down for storage and has lots of spaces for holding your stuff. We ended up going with other Britax car seats as they have the ClickTight technology
