I’m sorry I have no advice but I’m commenting to follow this post because I am in the same boat as you! Debating between the bugaboo double stroller. I have the single bugaboo and will probably try the boogie board that attaches to it for my toddler. I’m also looking at wagons, but the baby won’t be able to sit upright in that until probably 6 months. I fear if I get a double stroller I’ll be done with it within a year. My toddler prefers travelling in a wagon or walking and pushing behind a wagon.

We have an uppa baby we’ve been using but wondering what people do for travel. We have a single bugaboo we used previously … what do you use for 2?

We also bought a bugaboo and lucked out tha it was a practically new second hand one. It was so sturdy and took such a beating. That being said, I kind of wish we had gotten a cybex. It would have fit with our car seat which also reclined enough for it to not be dangerous to leave a bay in it for a short shopping trip. One of the biggest things we looked at were the wheels. We have lots of cobblestones where we are so they had to be big. People with small wheels get stuck all the time.

As an IVF person who had a kid later, I went all out. Bugaboo stroller, Clek car seat, etc.... I didn't have a registry. You are in a different place. I also believe in buying car seats and mattresses new for safety reasons. If you are being asked for a registry, I would populate it with small easy items and nothing big if this is a point of consternation among or if they are feeling financial pressure - it's also just good practice for a registry. But something meaningful like a nice book or something cute so people can engage in getting something adorable for the baby. As for work, avoid talking about it any more or say you're getting everything used off facebook marketplace (which actually does work well, I just didn't have energy while pregnant to go around buying things - I could have saved so much). Loved the baby bjorn bouncer by the way.

I have triplets but the donkey is so worth it. Especially because our kids are severely hypotonic/hypertonic and their PTs say any other stroller they'd likely be uncomfortable in. We'll probably need to get adaptive strollers soon, but the donkey is a beast and holds a lot of their medical equipment and its sturdy and I never worry about it tipping etc. Our boys are just about 15 months but are still in 6-9 month clothing so we used the bassinet way over when others stop using it. Started using the actual seat and they're quite comfortable sitting up even though they are more comfortable laying down because of their CP. Bugaboo has great customer service too. Someone cut the frame just cosmetic and bugaboo sent us a new one.

I’ve literally never seen them there and I spent many hours there trying to convince myself I needed and could afford a Bugaboo. (Surprise to no one, I didn’t and I couldn’t! Lol) Nuna, Uppababy, Silver Cross, Thule, Doona, Joolz, Cybex, sure. Chicco? Never. Maybe this is a new development? 🤷🏻‍♀️

I mean there isn’t any data published. At best you will get anecdotal stories which aren’t particularly insightful.  Presumably, 99.9% of people who bring strollers have no issues.  I have bought higher end strollers (Uppababy, Bugaboo) in a dozen times and had no issues.  I use an AirTag, mostly because once or twice cast members have moved them (or my spouse parked it, but I retrieved it) and it’s helpful.  Personally, I think the concerns about stroller theft are overblown. It’s a highly secure and monitored area, that costs hundreds of dollars to enter. I think items in strollers is more common, but even that I think is rampant.  Anecdotally I’ve had no issues and leave both my stroller and items in it unattended for long durations. But, again, without data we are all just speculating.
