Sticker shock for some of that stuff is real. I second the second-hand comments. For our first kid, we found someone selling a discounted Bugaboo Bee3, unused still in the original packaging. Even second-hand, the stroller for our first kid was more expensive than my first car. We paid $600+ for the stroller and some of the add-on acce$$orie$. My first car was a 20+ year old Honda when I was in my early 20s, and it was $500. The baby gear all adds up very quickly. Accept the generosity of others when it comes, like when your neighbors and colleagues who have older kids pass along some baby stuff to you. Also, seek out the buy/sell groups in your city. Or, the baby groups in your city.

My brother in Bugaboo. I had the Bugaboo Bee 3. Bought it second-hand but unused for $600, which was more than what I paid for my first car ($550).

Safety? The bigger the wheels the bigger the clearance. All makes for strollers with large wheel and small wheels. People in cities might be perfectly fine with smaller stroller with smaller wheels. As a dad I like Bugaboo - the quality and design are great. Get one Bugaboo with big wheels for outside and one small bugaboo for taking in the car and travel. You don’t want to take outside stroller into a car generally speaking. It’s a very nice to have both. The sun canopy for bugaboo is a great optional extra - cup holder was overrated imo

I spent a while researching strollers, wanted a Bumbleride Indie but bought a Bugaboo Bee and a used Peg Perego Ypsi/Agio Z4, I used the Bee until he was like a year and then switched to the Ypsi. I thought the Bee was pretty good but the Ypsis super smooth and handles really nice. Also easier to fold and unfold. The Bees smaller size was great for shopping though.  Up until he was like a year ago probably used the stroller like four times a week, now it depends wether the place I'm shopping has a cart to toss him in or not.

We were a Bugaboo family. We used the Bee and the Cameleon. The big wheels were great for the sidewalks. Only regret, or consideration, especially early on was getting a car seat / stroller compatible combo. We had Uppababy in the car and Bugaboo in the streets, so the trunk was pretty much always full whenever we went somewhere.

As other Redditors have said - consider your use case before buying. I started with a Bugaboo Bee and sold that for a Joolz Aer+, which is way better for our needs (one hand fold, travel friendly, light). But I wouldn’t spend a lot on a fancy one off the bat; your child may not even want to sit in it. Mine didn’t until she was 3.

Btw I‘m in ZH/very often in AG selling three different prams, a bugaboo buffalo, bugaboo bee and a cybex priam if you‘re intrested. Which leads me to another tip: get as much as you can second hand, it’s so worth it!

I feel like I’m the only one who is such a hater of the yo-yo. We were given one for free and I still can’t recommend it. We used it for our last holiday and had to put it in hold anyway as the plane was too full. So now just stick to our bugaboo bee and take that right up to the plane and put it in hold in the travel case.

We’re London based. Do not get a yo-yo. We got given one for free and I hate it! Honestly do not understand the appeal. It’s so flimsy, our then 18 month year old nearly got blown away in the wind in it, it rattles on normal pavements. We have a bugaboo bee which we bought when our first was born in 2022 and still using it from baby number 2. I love it. It doesn’t fold as small as the yo-yo, but the experience of it outweighs this. It fits on buses easily down the aisle, I can carry it up and down stairs still, and being able to forward face until 22kg (i think) is a benefit.

I have a bugaboo bee and often fly to Europe. Always gate checked for free- the last few times I also brought the buggy board which got checked free of charge too (not at the gate though).

I am a .om to 4, and we have used a Nuna Triv for 3 kids, and we still love it. It is well worth the money even though it costs a tad more than the other strollers. We have the Joolz Aer, UppaBaby Vista, and the Bugaboo Bee, but the Nuna is our favourite. The car seats are amazing quality, too.

Bugaboo are the best imo - they’re sturdy, easy, push well and definitely designed to last/be passed along. I had a Fox 3 I sold after 18 months and it was in perfect condition. I currently have a bee which was discontinued but I bought it refurbed and it’s still going strong after 2 years. Pramsy is a verified refurb website if you don’t want to buy brand new. I’d personally look at the dragonfly or fox 5. dragonfly is more compact but not sure if you can fit a car seat on it. Fox 5 is the proper pram and will fit all your specs but is bigger and heavier, though is a single fold with the pram attachment.
