3.5 year old and 1 next week year old Hand me down Bugaboo Buffalo for our first, used a capsule. I hated the pram, but I think because I felt I had to accept the hand me down? Baby hated the pram, capsule, bassinet, car seat. It was also too big for the boot (Kia Seltos) and I hated that it was two pieces to dismantle into the boot. Bought a Reds Baby Jive 3 after an expo, just before the 5 came out. Liked that it was smaller and lighter but its aged very quickly. A much smaller basket, but I have basket thoughts below. This particular basket was held on by loops with presstuds and easily became detached. However, with toddler seat facing forwards you could fold it down in one, and I know they have taken this feature and improved even more with future Reds Baby prams. My one solid dislike of this pram is that it is lower profile. It would have been nicer to have baby up higher, which is what later editions have added in. First kid was well out of the pram when second baby arrived, but we got a second hand second seat for the Reds Baby. Didn't like that it was underneath the capsule but my big kid thought it was fun. Did us fine for the walk to and from daycare. We got a Joolz Aer+ for travel. I really like it, minus the basket and the straps. The straps get easily twisted and are hard to lengthen. The basket can't fit a backpack in it easily due to the shape of the basket. Joolz, Bugaboo and YoYo are good for travel as airlines recognise them and know they fit in the overhead. just make sure you have a travel bag for them. Friends/mothers group friends mostly got Uppa Baby Vista 2's. I liked it when testing it but no fancy, expensive pram would have made my eldest like it. I also wouldn't have liked the size of it in the boot. With baskets, people talk often about 'fit a supermarket shop in underneath'. Which yes, you can with some. Or you can get online delivery. Baskets become an excuse to bring everything but the kitchen sink. We spent a funny afternoon just before we had our second watching people push around prams at Melb Aquarium, using them to carry 5 coats/bags/lunchboxes like it was a beach trolley

I obsessed over getting a top of the line stroller (got a practically brand new Bugaboo Buffalo off marketplace for super cheap!) and felt fine using a hand-me-down Ergo standard carrier. Didn't use my stroller at all until 5 months when she was already too big for the bassinet and hated the Ergo. Finally switched to a Tula carrier and I'm so in love with it I wish I hadn't wasted months trying to make the hand-me-down work

I got a Bugaboo Buffalo second hand. It's fantastic. I was really looking at a second hand Donkey. But I'm really happy with this. Fits most places better. Honestly? So far it's been weather accessories that I haven't used a lot. I don't use a winter insert, just have baby in snowsuit. The basic sun shade worked well enough for rain and it was hard to get the rain thing on anyway. Underneath storage has been ify. I've used it. But it's hard to get stuff in and out of. I usually just hook a backpack on the handle, so I can take it off and move it as needed. I liked bassinet, and did use it outside the stroller. Couldn't and probably would not have used a car seat attachment. Either baby wearing or a bassinet was good. Cup holder, the water jug I actually use is way too big for it and it sits in my closet.

Btw I‘m in ZH/very often in AG selling three different prams, a bugaboo buffalo, bugaboo bee and a cybex priam if you‘re intrested. Which leads me to another tip: get as much as you can second hand, it’s so worth it!

We absolutely love bugaboo strollers. I have a donkey from 2015 and it still works perfectly (better than so many newer strollers!) I got it second hand, changed the wheels, replaced the seat fabric and it looks like new. Rides like a beast. Has been through over 10 kids with heavy daily use. Yes it is heavy. When I did not need the double, I got a used buffalo one and it’s sooo good. So my suggestion is to buy a second hand fox. They are so worth it!

I have a pram cleaning business and I can tell you the difference between the cheaper brands like Redsbaby, Babybee, Jengo vs more expensive ones like Uppababy and Bugaboo is night and day. Definitely go for a second hand better brand one. All the prams I’ve cleaned have come up looking great. Look for one with no fading. I would recommend a Bugaboo Fox or Buffalo (buffalo is heavier but sturdier) an Uppababy Vista V1/V2 or a Cruz V2. Baby Jogger also make good prams and can find them cheaply second hand. Also buying from Amazon it may not be safe as it probably doesn’t meet Aus standards

Definitely consider the Cruz V2 as well. Baby sits slightly lower but still a great pram. I’ve cleaned heaps and heaps of Uppababy prams, they clean up very well and come apart easily. I prefer the suspension of Bugaboos, they just seem to push more easily but you really can’t go wrong with an Uppababy and they hold their value well.

So far, two. First one was an Evenflo Omni Plus. An okay stroller for the price, but the brake jammed and broke after 6 months of use. We were able to get a replacement part for free, but in that time I bought a 2014 Bugaboo Buffalo off of Facebook Marketplace. Definitely a higher quality stroller despite being over ten years old. It maneuvers much smoother and is better able to handle rougher terrain. As Bubs gets older, I'll probably also get a smaller travel stroller.

I used a buffalo in Zurich and it was great. The only problem is getting on trains and trams without wheelchair access but you’ll have that problem anyway. I’m selling it, by the way, in case you’d be interested on getting a second had one for a fraction of the price.
