Got the Nuna Triv next because it was supposed to be lightweight without compromising features. I hated it. Hate the fold. Hate that it doesn’t stay folded/flops open all the time. Hate the stupid buckles that always get twisted. It was heavy/bulky to me. Getting it in and out of my car just pissed me off. Got the butterfly 2 and am so much happier. Is it as smooth as ride as the triv? Nope but my baby could not care less. If you value easy, one handed fold and a lightweight, well-thought out design (the buckles are so much easier!) get the butterfly.
r/Buyingforbaby • Anyone just have a travel stroller? ->I don’t have travel system recs but we love the bugaboo butterfly 2 as a travel stroller
r/nycparents • Best stroller/travel system ->We just got one for my very tall 2 year old. The longest we found were the ICandy PIP and the Bugaboo Butterfly 2, we went for the Bugaboo and she can lay down comfortably in it. You can also pack it away in the overhead lockers on a flight, the only con is it was pretty pricey.
r/UKParenting • Lightweight stroller recommendations for a 2-year-old ->I started my stroller journey by buying a highly recommended stroller and hating it... and ended up with multiple ones, which turned into testing over 100 models and reviewing them :) That said: NOT LOVING: Uppababy Vista - rides smooth, but too big and bulky Mockingbird - awful, scary with recalls, doesn't drive smoothly as all Cybex Orfeo - too flimsy Cybex Coya - where do I even begin with this bad fold GB Pockit - not worth your fingers Ergobaby Metro - too heavy for a travel stroller and unfold feels meh SummerInfant 3d quickclose - too good to be true, super flimsy Nuna TRVL - too short seat, too big to take into the cabin and too expensive for what it is Uppababy Minu - too big for a travel stroller model, weird bumper bar and flimsy canopy LOVING: Cybex Priam - amazing, especially the e-version. If I were to get a one full-size stroller this would be my top choice Stokke Yoyo3 - most well-known and guaranteed on board Joolz Aer - smooth ride, great accessories Joolz Hub2 - solid mid-size option Cybex Gazelle - good for 2 under 2 Bombi - good mid-size option Bugaboo Butterfly 2 - didn't like the first version, but these upgrades made it better Mamazing - good budget option Zoe Traveler - amazing canopy and solid stroller Inglesina Quid - cute solid compact stroller
r/BabyBumps • [deleted by user] ->I saw them both in person today and the folded bugaboo looks clunky compared to the joolz which looks so nice and neat but I’m torn because: 1. Will I be annoyed about the recline having to unzip and re zip 2. Basket size - I could easily put in a whole nappy bag into the bugaboo but really struggled with the joolz 3. I really do like the lighter weight of the joolz tho, especially living in the city where there are so many bloody stairs! So will I be annoyed at the bugaboo because it’s heavier and less portable?!
r/UKParenting • Joolz aer2 vs bugaboo butterfly 2 for plane travel abroad ->I tried the butterfly 2 and joolz aer+ and thought the aer+ was better constructed. I bought the aer+, but then literally the day after taking it out, realized the bottom basket was a bit too small, and was a little annoyed by that - and ALSO found out about the joolz aer2, which hadn't been on my radar. The joolz aer2 has a larger basket, so that would've been perfect! I regret not considering the basket, and would've really preferred the aer2, but am (overall) very happy with the joolz aer+.
r/UKParenting • Joolz aer2 vs bugaboo butterfly 2 for plane travel abroad ->Uppababy minu 3 and bugaboo butterfly 2 both have lie- flat positions and are small enough to be carried aboard a plane. The butterfly has a bit longer seat back & a bit more space under the canopy. In the US, the butterfly is not considered ‘from birth’ because it doesn’t have an enclosure by the legs like the minu, but in Europe and elsewhere it is. It is ‘lie-flat’ enough, just missing the enclosure. There are loads of comparisons online to compare the two - they have super similar specs :)
r/bigbabiesandkids • Lie flat infant stroller recommendations? Ideally travel size. ->Bugaboo Butterfly 2 will be coming out with a newborn bassinet attachment soon, so that could go from newborn to basically 5+ and still fit on airplanes with a one hand fold.
r/nycparents • Lightweight stroller options ->You’re doing great, you have all your bases covered for a while. To answer your remaining questions: - It’s recommended that baby not spend more than 2 hours at a time in the car seat (including car and stroller time). Car seats are the safest way to travel in a car, but not really recommended to spend time in them outside the car. The bassinet is better, unless you’re doing just a quick errand. - You will need another car seat after baby outgrows the infant seat. This car seat is called a “convertible” seat because it can be used both rear and forward facing. It does not come out of the car routinely, and it doesn’t connect to a stroller, so it doesn’t need to fit into the Bugaboo ecosystem because it will never interact with it. - A travel stroller is a nice-to-have but not essential. We have one, but we still take our full-size stroller on some trips depending on what we’ll be doing at our destination. - The Butterfly does not come with car seat adaptors but you can buy them separately. Or, you could just wait until your baby is old enough to sit in the stroller seat directly and not worry about connecting the car seat. This would be around 6 months or when baby can sit up.
r/Buyingforbaby • Confused on Bugaboo car seats and travel systems for strollers ->We have the bugaboo butterfly and while it’s fine for travel and quick errands, it’s not great for neighborhood walks or longer outings like the zoo. The suspension isn’t great (true of any travel stroller), less comfortable for baby (in particular the butterfly doesn’t let him sit up that straight and also doesn’t recline as far), less storage, etc. That said I know it’s a luxury to have multiple strollers. If you don’t want to do that I’d maybe go for something a little beefier than a travel stroller though.
r/Buyingforbaby • Anyone just have a travel stroller? ->I think that unfortunately these two goals are at odds. Travel strollers usually don’t have the suspension or wheel size you’d want to navigate rough terrain. We have the bugaboo butterfly for a travel stroller which is pretty similar to the Aer. It would be miserable or impossible to use on cobblestone. When we go to Europe we will probably take our Uppababy Vista. It’s huge but it rides so smooth and is going to be so much more comfy for baby napping on the go, etc. Sorry I don’t have good advice as I don’t know of a really good option in this category
r/Buyingforbaby • Compact All-Terrain Newborn Stroller ->We have the Butterfly and the Vista. If we could only have one, we’d pick the Vista. If you only ever use the stroller for errands, travel stroller is probably fine. If you ever do zoo, park, longer walks, theme parks, travel stroller is not as good. Smaller basket, suspension struggles with cracks in the sidewalk, less comfy seating/recline options for longer use. But it’s great for running into the pharmacy real quick or for taking through the airport.
r/Buyingforbaby • Is a Cruz V2 necessary if I have a travel stroller? ->The Bugaboo Butterfly 2 and the Joolz Aer2 are better in my opinion. The Butterfly 2 has a more upright seat, excellent basket, seatback pocket, and just feels so premium. The Minu v3 is too reclined for my child… yours may not care, but most toddlers want to sit up and see! It also feels kind of heavy and bulky to me, and the unfold kept sticking when I tried it at Nordstrom. Honestly I went with the Yoyo3 over all of them because I just wanted the smallest and lightest option.
r/Buyingforbaby • Minu stroller (people complaining child can't sit upright) ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
