I have the donkey 3, they are all almost the same just some minor differences but trust me when I say in sweden everyone gets a donkey stroller. I have seen some be reselled for a third or fourth time in great condition.
Honestly the bugaboo donkey is THE best. Almost everyone uses it where I live, I have had 3 strollers and the bugaboo is the best one. Look at Facebook marketplace I got mine for $200 off there. It is also worth the price as it can last YEARS
They have it available on albee baby for a discount! I bought last week.
We have twins and we have a bugaboo donkey 5 for everyday use. its nice and Big, the kids sits comfortably and the wheels are smooth as well. Then we have a second travel stroller the minu Duo. The Donkey was just impossible for travelling. Its big and heavy and a pain flying with it, folding it and storing it on the top compartment on a plane to Japan. Thats when the smaller foldable minu duo comes in for travelling
We have the Bugaboo Donkey 5 and it's great. It's sturdy, light and easy to use. And it's just narrow enough that it can get through most store doors and such. We bought it second hand since it's quite expensive though.
We got the Bugaboo Donkey 5 duo and made the whole twin travel system using a car seat adapter and some maxi cosi peri car seats. \~$3300.00 later lol. Brutal upfront cost but man the stroller has been great and no weird seat orientation. Fits through doors... only issue issue is my boys are 17 months and by no means too big for the seats but... they are getting close lol. Thinking about listing the whole setup on marketplace to recoup some funds and get a more toddler friendly like wagon maybe they can climb into on their own.
Donkey 5 for sure. I went for the eGazelle because I wanted tandem, but the Donkey 5 was my choice for side by side.
If you can afford this Donkey 5, just go for it. I think you'll find it's worth it. This was my first choice but it just didn't beat the tandem Cybex eGazelle for me.
Okay so I love my Bugaboo side by side. Especially because you can use it as a single stroller and but the other one in a carrier on you! My twins were fussy in the stroller when they were smaller so I couldn’t imagine having them below on another.
Yes the Bugaboo donkey 5 Twin (the side by side bassinets). You can either place two bassinets or make the stroller smaller so you only place I bassinet. I’m bad at explaining so bear with me lol. The bugaboo twin is made for two bassinets or two buggy seats. To place two of whatever kind you have to expand the stoller sideways to it becomes wider. You can however leave it in the ‘smaller’ part (there’s secure locks at 3 points) and only place one bassinet or one seat and not be left with a huge gap on the side.
The twin and duo have the same base! The difference is that with the duo you get one bassinet and one seat and with the twin you get two of each.
Unpopular opinion. I love my Doona for travel. We traveled a lot and Doona was a lifesaver. I even used it on planes sometimes. When my first grew out of the Doona I got a baby zen yoyo and it was exclusively used for like a year. I guess we do live in a city so being nimble is huge. With my second one I used baby zen Yoyo from birth with a bassinet and it was a wonderful experience. In the bassinet the comfort level is as good as any deluxe stroller. Super underrated stroller. I then got a donkey 5 twin stroller and with 2 under 2 it really helps. But that thing is a monster. And like what people said about Vista unless you’re okay with spending 5 minutes setting it up and not being able to fit anything else in the trunk… it’s not for you. Only big plug I will have is. Buy everything on Facebook marketplace. I have only bought the Doona new. I think it’s better to buy multiple strollers for different use cases than to spend so much money on one new stroller. This is why I have so many stroller and I’m really happy with all of them fitting a different use case.
I love the bugaboo donkey. We have 2 under 2 and I debated hard. But now it’s my must have when I go out with both kids.
