Doona then bugaboo here, found it easier to collapse one handed than the yoyo
r/AskSF • Parents Question --Which Stroller to buy for SF living? ->You should be able to find something. Here in Germany, I have seen a lot of Bugaboo Donkeys listed secondhand for around €500, and Foxes for around €300, often with tons of free extra accessories I just bought a Bugaboo Cameleon 3 for €90 (including extra accessories). That means it’s an older model, of course, but it still works great.
r/BabyBumps • Influence/ de influence my baby registry! ->We also bought a bugaboo and lucked out tha it was a practically new second hand one. It was so sturdy and took such a beating. That being said, I kind of wish we had gotten a cybex. It would have fit with our car seat which also reclined enough for it to not be dangerous to leave a bay in it for a short shopping trip. One of the biggest things we looked at were the wheels. We have lots of cobblestones where we are so they had to be big. People with small wheels get stuck all the time.
r/BuyItForLife • #1 baby on the way. Which stroller would you recommend for a newborn that can ideally be used until age 3? ->Joolz is great and light but not wonderful off of well-paved even roads. We have a bugaboo fox and a joolz aer plus and we use both for different needs. I also suggest getting the bassinet.
r/Buyingforbaby • Joolz aer 2 as primary stroller? ->As an IVF person who had a kid later, I went all out. Bugaboo stroller, Clek car seat, etc.... I didn't have a registry. You are in a different place. I also believe in buying car seats and mattresses new for safety reasons. If you are being asked for a registry, I would populate it with small easy items and nothing big if this is a point of consternation among or if they are feeling financial pressure - it's also just good practice for a registry. But something meaningful like a nice book or something cute so people can engage in getting something adorable for the baby. As for work, avoid talking about it any more or say you're getting everything used off facebook marketplace (which actually does work well, I just didn't have energy while pregnant to go around buying things - I could have saved so much). Loved the baby bjorn bouncer by the way.
r/Buyingforbaby • Registry Reality Check Plz ->Go on Facebook marketplace put in the posh brands and get them second hand, got a £1,000 bugaboo fox for £200, plus a baby zen yo-yo travel pram, £700 new for £100
r/NewParents • Is everyone on baby/parenting subs rich?!? ->I totally feel you, picking out a stroller was overwhelming!!! It’s the only item we purchased new (everything else is had me down and second hand) but we thought if we are using it daily for 4 years it’ll pay off. We’re also living in the city (no car) and so will be using the buggy a lot. We’ve looked at Bugaboo, Cybex, Nuna and Joolz (which seems to be suuuuper trendy now here in Europe). My conclusion after a ton of research and visiting stores was that at this price point and looking at the similar models, they are really all the same, with the same features😅 I liked the bugaboo fox design the most, it was slightly more expensive than the rest but I found a website sale and got it 40% off. However it is clear, that this will be more of a bigger, sturdy everyday stroller in town. They all fold quite big, and are heavy. I definitely see that we will need a lightweight travel one pretty soon that folds small for flying and road trips. Like a bugaboo firefly or joolz air.
r/BabyBumps • Strollers (please let me here your thoughts on NUNA, Uppa and Bugaboo I am overwhelmed with anxiety) ->The thing that I didn’t like about the bugaboo was that the bassinet and toddler seat had the same pieces that had to be reconfigured. It just seemed impractical if you had two kids and were going to move between a baby in the carrier or stroller & toddler walking or stroller. The Cruz V3 would be slightly fincky for this but very doable.
r/Buyingforbaby • Uppababy Cruz V3 anyone?! ->I’ve literally never seen them there and I spent many hours there trying to convince myself I needed and could afford a Bugaboo. (Surprise to no one, I didn’t and I couldn’t! Lol) Nuna, Uppababy, Silver Cross, Thule, Doona, Joolz, Cybex, sure. Chicco? Never. Maybe this is a new development? 🤷🏻♀️

r/nycparents • Where to see non-luxury strollers in-person ->I mean there isn’t any data published. At best you will get anecdotal stories which aren’t particularly insightful. Presumably, 99.9% of people who bring strollers have no issues. I have bought higher end strollers (Uppababy, Bugaboo) in a dozen times and had no issues. I use an AirTag, mostly because once or twice cast members have moved them (or my spouse parked it, but I retrieved it) and it’s helpful. Personally, I think the concerns about stroller theft are overblown. It’s a highly secure and monitored area, that costs hundreds of dollars to enter. I think items in strollers is more common, but even that I think is rampant. Anecdotally I’ve had no issues and leave both my stroller and items in it unattended for long durations. But, again, without data we are all just speculating.
r/DisneyPlanning • How common is stroller theft these days? ->Definitely agree it depends on where you live and what kind of transportation you regularly will use. We have a big Bugaboo stroller we really like but we don’t live in Seoul and only walk or drive day to day. When we are up in Seoul visiting family we have a smaller more compact stroller that is much more portable. Bulky strollers are not very conducive to Seoul’s subways or catching a quick taxi when their trunk space is pretty small. We absolutely wouldn’t be able to get our main stroller into any sedan cab I’ve ever caught here. If you really like your current stroller and it’s not cost prohibitive I’d say still bring it, even if you only use it in your neighborhood. Coupang (Korean Amazon equivalent) has plenty of quality stroller options if you want to get a more portable one once you see what your day to day will be like.
