Second bugaboo fox (fox2) for bush! Also live in the bush and have used it for both my babies in rough terrain and it’s been perfect. As flagged though, it is big so does take up a lot of boot space. But you’ll have no problem taking it out bush if that’s more of the priority. Edit: just saw you mention you have a prado, fox will be fine! I’ve got a much smaller SUV so it takes up a lot of space. It’ll be great in a prado I reckon.
I have the Fox 2 and totally second the height comment. I am 179cm and it drives me crazy how low baby is!! Especially when she was in the bassinet attachment. I also find it has very bad under storage because it is so low - I get sooo jealous when I see mums with the Vista or Juno which has great storage. I also *wish* it had an attachment like the Cybex which is a little basket for grocery shopping. Otherwise it is very sturdy and it seems super comfy for the baby. I notice how smooth it is when I have to use my travel pram and baby is jolting all over the place. I also appreciate how it is easy to get on and off the train with the big wheels.
I have a bugaboo fox 2, I got it new in 2021 for my first baby and now using it with my second. I really highly rate it. It’s so great to push imo better than an uppababy. The basket is smaller than the uppababy though. I love how the seat and bassinet share a frame so the storage of the one you aren’t using doesn’t take up too much space. I bought it new, but you can get great prams that are in fantastic condition second hand!
Go on marketplace and get yourself a second hand bugaboo fox or similar. Mine is from 2021, and I’ve got about a year still to use it before I’m done, if I were to sell it I’d be selling for around $250-300 and it’s in great condition, a few scratches on the frame from wear and tear but everything else basically perfect.
I’d go and try them in person at a shop or expo, and push them with a weight in. I personally have a bugaboo fox and love it. But it’s not lightweight or a one hand fold. A friend has the dragonfly and loves it for a smaller pram but still not a travel style
I love both my fox and my butterfly, different uses. Quick out and about, don’t need to lug around heaps of stuff, staying on pavement? The butterfly every time. Anything else, long day, lots of stuff, gravel or off roading, then I need the fox.
Take the parcel shelf out, that’s what I needed to do with my Holden Cruze. When bubs was really small I put the bassinet in the back seat but once he was bigger the seat part fit in the boot fine. I have a bugaboo fox
Another bugaboo vote. We got the fox 2 (the fox 3 had just come out when we brought it, so we got it for a bit cheaper and figured the ‘new’ features on fox 3 weren’t worth paying extra for at the time). We live in SW London so it has been used for city/central London outings in addition to a river towpath and Richmond park walks. Have genuinely found it easy and light to manoeuvre on all surfaces and it was amazing for our first with very heavy use. We’ve just lit the bassinet back in for baby 2 and attached a buggy board for the toddler, and it looks set to solidly last another 3 years. An additional note- some of these travel system prams are expensive. There’s no denying it. But in my opinion the cost has been worth it given the near daily use.
Have loved my bugaboo fox. It’s now on baby 2 and has been fantastic, especially on rougher surfaces. No regrets. As others have said a second travel pram that can fit in the airplane cabin overhead bins is also really useful. I like the Jools Aer+ as it also has the lie flat function.
I did a full deepdive into prams before buying and found that uppababy and bugaboo are highly rated for a reason, they are very sturdy and soo easy to push. Which is very important as baby gets bigger. I have a fox 3 and I got a second hand fox 2 for my in laws for when they look after my baby, I needed an all terrain pram as my streets don’t have footpaths. We took baby on a holiday at 5m old so got the uppababy minu v2 and it was just okay, my child is very strong and stable (was able to crawl at the time) and also 80th percentile but was sliding around in it. We ended up getting a bugaboo butterfly which I have been so much happier with. The seat back is muchhhh taller than the minu-which my 5m old was touching the top of. Based on my experience I’d recommend getting a bugaboo, either on sale or secondhand bc they are 100% worth it and last. The stroller guy on YouTube has great videos about the international brands!

I have a Bugaboo Fox3 and I really don’t like it. It does great on trails/snow but so does the vista. My sister has a vista and I’m bummed I didn’t buy one. Biggest complaint with the fox is the small storage basket (in comparison).
I hate my bugaboo fox but it does the job and I got it off marketplace for cheap so no regrets moneywise. I bought an Ergo metro+ for travel and I like it better. Baby hates both from birth... Is now 14.5 months 😭
Yes it's great in the snow. I have a clek liing and the adapters were bulky and didn't work well for me. I really dislike the fold, the small under basket and switching the fabric from the bassinet to the seat was hell. Took me at least 17 tries with mom brain and YouTube videos showing all black fabric it was a nightmare. I am a solo mom by choice and not a lot of help so this was a big inconvenience.
Mine is a fox 3, I think the 5 is easier to fold. But my biggest dislike is the basket underneath. Sounds silly but my sister has a vista and that basket is gold. She can almost fit a second child in, mine can barely fit my diaper bag.
I bought a used bugaboo fox3 on marketplace for $350 last year. I don't love the stroller, although it's great in the snow. Very happy I didn't pay full price for it!!!
My twins aren’t here yet, but we got the Donkey 5 used in great condition and have been using it in single mode for our almost 3yo girl. She still fits but it’s getting snug! (When she was a baby I had the Fox 3 and loved it, she still fits that one a bit better but I don’t have it anymore.) She is like me though and has a long torso, which is what makes her not really fit the Donkey anymore. She hits her head on the canopy when it’s folded back, not that she’s been complaining but to me it doesn’t look comfy. I’m excited to start using it with the twins! With my singleton I was out walking for hours every day, and she was very happy for the most time in her stroller. Where I live it’s a big ”stroller culture” and most mothers are out walking several times a day. I’ve no idea how it’s going to work with twins, but I refuse to be stuck indoors losing my mind so I’m gonna make it work lol
The Uppababy travel system (especially the cruz and vista models) has been my top preference since looking into travel systems but I have been measured because of the pricing. However, I recently noticed that the Minu v3 + Aria car seat are on sale. It's currently 200 bucks down and I get to use my amazon registry 15% discount as well. Which means I would get it for like 840 CAD instead of the original 1214 CAD price. This is a step down but I like it anyways. I would like to pick people's thoughts on it. How useful is a the Minu 3 for everyday use. And will you go for Aria over the Mesa V3 car seat? My OB based on an ultrasound report has already predicted that my son will be taller. However, my biggest issue is my partner who is not supportive of us getting a new travel system because someone gifted us the evenflo car seat and jogger stroller. While I appreciate the gift its no where close to my preference. I am so disgusted at the sight of it. Mind you I have been very rational in most of the baby items we have purchased. I thrifted some of our key items both from facebook and second hand baby stores. This is the only item that I am willing to splurge on but he's not compromising at all. I am compelled to get it on a payment plan because I am 38 weeks and due any day from now. I really need your thought on this. I'm I being overly emotional and not rational?
Unfortunately all the baby stores in my city have closed down except for walmart which has few options. So my only option is online. But I understand your concerns about the vista. I bought a used bugaboo fox 2 and sold it for cheap again because it took almost all the space in my Mini SUV trunk. So the idea of a travel stroller for everyday use seem cool to me. Also because I drive around alot.
