Aer+
Travel-friendly, city-nimble, but tiny storage and struggles off-pavement.

Running these analyses costs money. Buy through my links to help keep lights on! I may get a small commission.
Have a bugaboo fox club it is so easy and smooth. Much better than the babybee duo 2 I previously had which was nice but so bulky and hard to manoeuvre at cafes/shops etc. also have a butterfly for quick shops etc.
I have bugaboo fox cub for day to day - we walk everywhere, go to the supermarket with it. Big basket and sturdy suspension. Until you have the baby, you don't realise what a pain it is to get baby and all your stuff into the car, so you actively start avoid driving when you could just walk somewhere (or go on public transport). Big pram is good for a big day out with lots of walking, and lots of stuff. Also you will walk a lot anyway to get baby to sleep when they're young, so you need one that's good for pounding the pavement for hours. Then I have Joolz Aer Plus as my light travel pram - for folding up small in the car, going to little cafes with not much room and when we travel. I only got the travel pram when baby was about 8+ months plus.
I work in baby gear and IMO Bugaboo is a far superior product. Uppababy has better marketing, so more people have it and more people review it, but a lot of its so-called perks are standard to most strollers or not necessary. For your lifestyle, I think the Bugaboo Fox would be perfect. You can get on Marketplace for a good price, and the older models (OG and Fox2) are still excellent. Good resale value when youāre done. They last much longer than uppababy, it will be in great condition still when youāre done with it. The Fox is great for dog walking. The wheels and suspension are much better than the Cruz. Itās not bulky but youāll be able to get through gravel with it. The most important thing is the car seat and you bought the very best one on the market, congrats! So everything else is downhill from here š
Weirdly there was a fox2 and 5, but no 4 lol. IMO, thereās very little difference between them, so just get what fits your budget. From chat, to point out the actual differences (since I couldnāt even remember): Fox 5 (Current): Offers the easiest one-hand fold, a 1 cm higher seat position than the 3, improved, more premium fabrics, and an extendable sun canopy and footrest, allowing the seat to grow by an extra 4 inches. Fox 3: Features an advanced breezy mattress and high-performance seat fabrics, offering incredible comfort. It shares the same, slightly more complex, two-hand fold mechanism as the Fox 2. Fox 2: A highly sturdy previous version known for excellent suspension, though it lacks the advanced one-hand fold and extended seat features of the 5. Fox Cub: A streamlined version of the Fox, focused on essential features, offering all-terrain capability at a lower price point compared to the main Fox line. Key Differences Summary: Fold: Fox 5 uses a one-hand fold, while Fox 3 and 2 require two hands. Storage: The Fox 5 has a slightly larger underseat basket than the Fox 3. Adjustability: The Fox 5 features an extendable footrest and sun canopy that previous models lack. Warranty: The Fox 5 often comes with a 4-year guarantee. Hope that helps!

You should be able to find something. Here in Germany, I have seen a lot of Bugaboo Donkeys listed secondhand for around ā¬500, and Foxes for around ā¬300, often with tons of free extra accessoriesĀ I just bought a Bugaboo Cameleon 3 for ā¬90 (including extra accessories). That means itās an older model, of course, but it still works great.
Joolz is great and light but not wonderful off of well-paved even roads. We have a bugaboo fox and a joolz aer plus and we use both for different needs. I also suggest getting the bassinet.
As an IVF person who had a kid later, I went all out. Bugaboo stroller, Clek car seat, etc.... I didn't have a registry. You are in a different place. I also believe in buying car seats and mattresses new for safety reasons. If you are being asked for a registry, I would populate it with small easy items and nothing big if this is a point of consternation among or if they are feeling financial pressure - it's also just good practice for a registry. But something meaningful like a nice book or something cute so people can engage in getting something adorable for the baby. As for work, avoid talking about it any more or say you're getting everything used off facebook marketplace (which actually does work well, I just didn't have energy while pregnant to go around buying things - I could have saved so much). Loved the baby bjorn bouncer by the way.
