We did the Nuna Trvl LX with Nuna Urbn as our combo travel system and it’s been really nice, overall a great purchase and I would recommend. It has the largest wheels and best suspension you’ll find in any travel stroller, quick one hand fold, lightweight. But it is still a gate check at the airport. It’s not perfect, you definitely make compromises with any travel stroller, but I have a tiny trunk and it fits well and has been nice for quick errands. That said - we have a lot of other strollers too for other purposes! - Bob Revolution jogger is our go-to for bumpy terrain and trails, gravel, etc. - I bought the Doona for international travel, we took our 5 month old to Switzerland. She ended up really liking to take walks in it, but I HATED it for regular purposes and quickly sold it because I found it to be a huge PITA. - we also have a very old (cheap FB marketplace purchase) Bugaboo Frog that we got for the bassinet for walks when she was little. It was really nice to have and we did use it quite a bit, but I also babywear a lot for walks when they’re small. I do not think a travel stroller can do it all. I think a travel stroller & jogger is a nice combo, or if you truly only want one stroller, you should probably consider the Cruz or similar.

I had a secondhand Bugaboo Frog system (many years ago), that survived my two children and then got passed on again. It was user serviceable, very solid and a joy to push on country roads, pavements and across fields with the dog. Definitely recommend using slime in the tyres if you get a pram with pneumatic tyres. And congratulations!

Concur with options being the best. My recommendation is a used donkey (we bought one for $175 and are probably another $200 in with some new attachments, new canopy, sprucing up the wheels, etc). Especially the first few months when you’re using the bassinets you only need one stroller IMO. But after that…we then got a cheap double umbrella (jeep brand, maybe $80?) that has been great for its purpose. The bugaboo is great to push and a great full feature stroller but it’s IMO, noticeably bulky. We use the donkey for stroller walks, any outings or trips that require long walks, amusement parks, petting zoos, etc. Sure it fits through most doors but does it fit in between the tables at the restaurant? Does it fit in between the aisle at the store? Is it easy to get in and out of the car to go grab something from the store? Not really IMO, it’s noticeably larger than our umbrella width wise and we’ve had way more “ah we won’t fit” experiences with it compared to the umbrella. So the umbrella lives in our car for daycare drop offs, anytime we go to a restaurant, anything that is space constrained or we don’t anticipate a long time in the stroller. Maybe something like the mountain buggy duo is worth looking at to fill both rolls, but I remember it being pricy and not having as good of a second hand market.

Our bugaboo is like a family member. I cannot imagine moving the kids without it. The car seat attachment was super nice in their infant era, and now the seats are super nice - we also have the footmuffs so the kids are extra toasty. It was worth it. I also got two single strollers (yoyo) with the magnetic attachment, width is the same but steering it is immensely different. Bugaboo has very big rubber wheels that make walking it a breeze. The yoyos were for convenience so we have a walking stroller and a car stroller, so when one is out with a kid, the other can still take the other kid on a walk. When I find time to run, I actually use the bugaboo because it's so smooth - i lock the front wheels and take the kids out. I don't need to buy a separate running stroller in my circumstances (I am not a fast runner, and my paths are all paved, definitely wouldn't run on trails with it, but walking on trails with the bugaboo is absolutely fine). They're now about 12 kilos each, but i don't feel the heavy weight during the runs - only if it's windy. You can try to get it second hand! It's absolutely worth it.

Obsesssssed with my bugaboo! The only thing that was annoying was the infant car seat attachment couldn't fit through regular sized doors. Otherwise, zero complaints I'm still obsessed 14 months later!

I’m sorry I have no advice but I’m commenting to follow this post because I am in the same boat as you! Debating between the bugaboo double stroller. I have the single bugaboo and will probably try the boogie board that attaches to it for my toddler. I’m also looking at wagons, but the baby won’t be able to sit upright in that until probably 6 months. I fear if I get a double stroller I’ll be done with it within a year. My toddler prefers travelling in a wagon or walking and pushing behind a wagon.

We have an uppa baby we’ve been using but wondering what people do for travel. We have a single bugaboo we used previously … what do you use for 2?

We also bought a bugaboo and lucked out tha it was a practically new second hand one. It was so sturdy and took such a beating. That being said, I kind of wish we had gotten a cybex. It would have fit with our car seat which also reclined enough for it to not be dangerous to leave a bay in it for a short shopping trip. One of the biggest things we looked at were the wheels. We have lots of cobblestones where we are so they had to be big. People with small wheels get stuck all the time.
