Bugaboo Kangaroo is far superior to the Uppababy. We have a Silver Cross Wave but if I were to go back and do it all over again I’d get a Bugaboo all the way. We do have the Bugaboo Butterfly as our travel stroller and use that way more (fits in overhead bin on airplane!)
Bugaboo kangaroo for large stroller with incredible wheels (for these sidewalks and streets and cobblestones). Uppababy Minu v3 for travel stroller in the car (also fits in the carry-on compartment of airplanes), and for smooth ground (going to a mall? American Dream?)
Bugaboo Kangaroo fits this description. The wheels are powerful and can take on snow and rough terrain. A bassinet that converts to a stroller seat is included with the stroller, as do adaptors for car seats. When the time comes you would need to purchase a sibling seat, and/or a wheeled board for toddlers and older children if they prefer to stand while being carted around.
I have the bugaboo kangaroo and love it but nice list!
I love my Bugaboo strollers. However, if you need it to be smoother on rougher terrain, I’d get the Kangaroo or a used older full size model. I also have the butterfly and while it’s great to have in tighter spaces, it’s really better when they’re older or you use the car seat attachment. My ride or die is my old Chameleon. She’s taken a beating with two kids and is still rolling smooth and strong
Our first went into the convertible seat at around 7-8 months, she HATED the infant seat. It was worth it to us. She’s almost 5 now and we still use it as intended. I’m kicking around not using the infant seat for baby 2. Stroller? I got a barely used Bugaboo for $200 and it’s been a dream. Smooth handling, one hand steering, I do not regret that. Will be using for surprise baby 2. Crib? No. When she was ready we put her directly in a larger bed so we could lay with her when needed. I got a cheaper brand crib and had zero issues. Same with the mattress.
I got a barely used Bugaboo stroller second hand, for like $200. That thing was my MVP! One handed pushing/turning, smooth ride.
I wouldn’t spend a lot on baby furniture. They don’t use it for very long. Maybe one nice dresser they can use until they grow up. Expensive cribs, etc are temporary and don’t perform any different than cheaper cribs. I’d also consider convertible car seats that have a larger height/weight limit thresholds (if you both have cars). I wouldn’t spend a ton on the infant seat either, you may have a baby who hates it early (mine did!). I’ll say my Bugaboo stroller has been worth its weight in gold. It handles like a dream and we hauled it everywhere. I’d also do bad things for a night nurse at the moment, my 2 week old is giving me the business from 1-4am and I am TIRED.
Yep, this. Exactly why I went for the Bugaboo Kangaroo instead
I personally love it! I've never had a vista SnooGadgets so I'd definitely use their review as a data point having had both. But the kangaroo has been a workhorse for us. I love the bassinet on top feature and the true one hand fold - vs vista having two hand fold and and bassinet on bottom. I actually can and do fold the kangaroo down with one hand while holding my baby in the other arm. It's big for sure but not insanely so - it's not a travel stroller. I tested both uppababy and bugaboos and bugaboo won in terms of stroller glide and navigation for me, too. Personally I think if you went for the Kangaroo you wouldn't regret it! ETA - all babies are individual but my baby ZONKS out in the bassinet for walking naps - and stays asleep in it when we move the bassinet inside.
Have a bugaboo kangaroo for the same reason. Also, the bassinet frame converts to the seat frame so it's one less thing to store if you live in a smaller space. Have had zero issues when bugaboo customer service!
