When I had my middle daughter in 2011, I spent 350/400 for a bumbleride QueenB on sale(org price ~5/600)...that was pretty spendy, although there were 1k strollers back then too, they had $2-300 strollers too. For us, I had/have MS(balance issues), walked daily, visited uneven terrain often with the older kids(fairs, festivals, etc), so felt the "upgraded" stroller was worth the spend(its a pram style, sturdy with larger wheels) As she got older & we had 2 more, we got a wonderfold...same reasons, but now it held everyone-plus the autistic child had a "pod" for when she became overwhelmed(we also got the 35% off for medical) HOWEVER that was a me decision/me want & therefore a "me spend" I cannot get over how many young people want these things with no way to pay for them-then expect everyone else to do so 🙄
We have only ever had our Bumbleride for trips to Disney. Never had any issues getting around anywhere with it.
Yes! I do a lot of walking on sidewalks paved with historic brick and they a bumpy! The bumble ride is amazing, and the company is exactly what I want to support. We also have a zoe for travel or small spaces and that is great as well.
Clek all the way. We also really like our Bumbleride stroller
Nuna is so overrated. Skip that one and get her a Bumbleride
Joie is the “budget” sister brand to Nuna, and one of the main cost cutting measures is that Joie uses flame retardants and Nuna does not. The standard they are referencing is the bare minimum to be sold in the US, so I wouldn’t put much trust into it. I’d personally rather a secondhand stroller that I know is FR free (Bumbleride, Guava, Nuna). For car seats which should always be brand new, Chicco and Britax make relatively affordable FR seats.
We have a bumbleride and love it! Can confirm it’s a beast in gravel, grass, dirt, mud, snow and slush.

We got our stroller 25% off since it was being replaced by a new model. I was already set on it so I kept checking anywhere bumbleride is carried until I saw it go on sale. We got our crib and mattress from IKEA. They tend to run mattress or different events periodically so you could wait for 10% off or their free shipping on holidays when the physical store is closed. Pack and play with bassinet insert, but if you have the room, I’d just put the crib in your room or a bassinet only then swap to the crib. They really do outgrow the bassinet really fast and the pack and play sits way to low for those middle of the night feeds. I find a lot of the smaller boutique shops in QC don’t have good SEO. Try searching for a specific item or brand so you can find those shops. Petit lem is great for pyjamas and you can find it on clearance at the little shops. It helps if you search in French too. I basically created a list of the major items we wanted and kept checking for sale. A lot of QC stores will have stock when other places are sold out and you can get free shipping or 10% off your first order on full priced items.
It depends on the weather in your area and your lifestyle. I love my bumbleride. She’s a beast in the snow, slush, mud and grass. Full suspension and oeko-Tex certified. There’s also adapters for the infant seat.
Adapting the car seat sounds nice until you find out the hassle it is putting and removing the adapters to fold the stroller. At least in ours. We bought the Bumbleride. Looking back, I would have gone with the slimmest stroller that has fully reclining seats. They act as bassinets. We use them a lot.
If this is your everyday stroller, I agree on the Valco Trend Duo or Bumbleride. Light and compact for me = small wheels/not easy to push/ very little storage.
