So a travel system is what you might like, that’s is what combines carrier and stroller and sometimes bassinet (most have that as something else you can buy though). Being in the city and no car I’d focus on smaller the better. The Doona is going to be your most compact option. Any other stroller/carrier combo is going to end up fairly big and bulky. And don’t get me wrong I loved our Chicco Bravo and really love our mockingbird but in an urban environment could see them being cumbersome.

My Chico bravo travel system actually does fine on gravel. The shock absorbers are pretty great. But it’s heavy as hell and takes up my entire trunk so… I’d get the jogging stroller.

r/BabyBumps • Should we just go ahead and grab a jogging stroller? ->

I have the Chicco Bravo and I love it. It doesn't have any of the issues you just described. Its convenient in every way. My only complaint about it is it is a little heavy, but not enough to make me want something different so it can't be that bad! Lol

We got the Chicco Bravo 3-in-1 Trio Travel System, Bravo Quick-Fold Stroller with KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seat and Base. About to use it within the next week or so! Was easy to put together and had great reviews on consumer reports and elsewhere. Family and friends highly recommended a travel system so that’s what we went with.

We have only one, chicco bravo. It’s full sized and great for all scenarios so far.

I have the Chicco bravo for 2 and I love it since my toddler would prefer to just stand on the kickboard. I like that it’s not any wider than a traditional stroller, but it does have the seat for my toddler if he gets tired.

I have a Chicco and it’s midrange at best and I wish I had gone with a more expensive one. I live in NYC so it would have been enormously important for maneuverability.

r/NewParents • New parent question: Are stroller over $500 really worth it? Is a more expensive stroller always better? ->

When we had our first kid we went with a Chicco travel system and it did the job without costing anywhere close to a grand.

We got a chicco and it’s like $350-$400 for the car seat AND stroller but they run frequent sales and we personally love ours! Swing was less than $100, we just at the moment cannot fathom a $1000 stroller/car seat combo.  Walmart sales, target sales, everything in between. Comparison will forever be the thief of things and I can say my baby will not remember things what stroller

We’ve used our Chicco bravo 3 in 1 for 6.5 months  since baby was born (first time, wish I had a longer timeframe for you) and it’s great. It was a gift and included the car seat for $300 at the time (now $390 for both.) it’s been super easy to use as a system, the stroller is rock solid, and the car seat was super easy to click in an out when baby was under six months. Lots of storage and so easy to push.

We love our Chicco car seat and stroller (the stroller handles amazingly well and is super easy to fold up/open) and the oxo dispenser is great too!
