I have the Chicco bravo for 2 and I love it since my toddler would prefer to just stand on the kickboard. I like that it’s not any wider than a traditional stroller, but it does have the seat for my toddler if he gets tired.
I agree with other points on lifestyle and features first. We initially opted for the Chicco Bravo LE travel system. Loved the bucket seat and how it could click into the frame with or without the stroller set up as a stroller. It wasn't too bulky or heavy, easy breakdown for the trunk, had good storage cup holders etc. As baby grew up and hated the bucket seat, however, we regretted getting it because baby could not face us in the stroller seat. Got the Uppababy Cruz and love it. However we will deal with the dilemma of our car seat not being able to click into that stroller immediately. So when we have another baby we'll have to swap back to our old stroller (or buy just the click in frame as friends have our old stroller right now) and/or the bassinet for the Cruz.
What’s the age gap? Mine was 3 years and the Chicco Bravo for 2 was perfect. I still was able to contain the older one but he much preferred riding around on the little chariot like stand than sitting in a traditional stroller seat. And it was perfect at the zoo/aquarium etc because he could easily hop on and off to get a closer look at something.
I have chicco bravo 360. It goes with car seat (which I hate) the stroller is absolutely fine. I would not recommend to buy stroller and car sit together.
We got the Chicco bravo lite so it would work with his car seat and planned for this to be the only stroller. However, when he was around 5 months old our neighbor was selling a BOB jogging stroller in great condition for $60 so I bought that on a whim and it’s been so great for neighborhood walks and bumpier terrain. We keep the Chicco as our main stroller in the trunk and use the other for our neighborhood walks. I’ll swap if I want to take him to a more hiking style park or walking in our bumpy downtown, but the BOB is too large for me to have in my small sedan on a regular basis. I wish instead of looking for a stroller where the seat clicked in, I had gotten a lie flat but it worked out for us.
Do you have a buy nothing group in your area? I got a well loved Bravo 2 or whatever ( Chicco seat clips in and my toddler can sit or stand on the back). We have used it a ton and air traveled with it. It has quirks but it was free and every day I thank god for that. I also got a used Joovy x2 for $80 on marketplace. You never know what these picky toddlers will be into but try to not stress and spend hundreds.
Our baby isn't here yet (38 +4...any day!) but we also chose chico. We went with the Bravo LE system and are obsessed! Pretty affordable and functional.
Chicco bravo KeyFit the infant car seat clicks right into it. It's a tad heavy and the basket underneath is a good size. It's good for running errands and around town. It also comes with cupholders for parents and the little one when they're ready to sit in the seat. It also reclines so they can lay down and take a nap. We were also given a hand me down Thule. That one is light and is good for parks and trails because it has shocks and actual tires so you can go through grass and even sand. There is a separate bar/contraption you can buy to hold the Chicco infant car seat. The basket underneath is on the small side. We also had to buy a cupholder thing for it because the model wr have doesn't come with it . They're both great!
We had a Chicco Bravo single wide on board and it was tight in the hallways and room. I’d venture to guess that a double wide would be near impossible. Also, in our experience, we rarely used the stroller on the ship for sea days (with a 9 month old) and just took it out for port days off ship
I have three strollers here and an ergo. You are welcome to come look at them and see if you like them. I also would just ask moms what they liked. Bob is the best for a jogger, but they are constantly going flat due to those spikey things here. Baby trend baby jogger is so cost effective and light weight and withstood 4 years of kiddos here. I have an ergo and it’s bulky but baby is safe and my back is protected. Then Chico has a three in one system that’s really helpful for new parents.
