This is the travel system we bought for our 2nd. So far I love it. No extra purchases and we have what we need. I got it on sale and got an additional 35% at target by stacking coupons ($392). We switched to the graco extend to fit 3 in 1 for our oldest when she grew out of the baby carrier. She's still uses it as a booster and she's 5 and a half now.

I’ll throw in a rave for the [Chicco Corso](https://www.chiccousa.com/shop-our-products/on-sale/corso-le-cleartex-modular-travel-system---canyon/04087206250070.html?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=23072136426&gbraid=0AAAAADrsxxbSmUsPrUPh1DFE8oWDJ7chD&gclid=Cj0KCQjwm6POBhCrARIsAIG58CKUxxnvokZBRbFCRu29Bn-WOVn2wQkhB8GlWZW7tVBaiypSrOdpFTQaAqiVEALw_wcB). While I have nothing to compare it to, this has worked great for us with a similar context to you. We used this constantly during the first six months because of the car seat click-in option. We used it for grocery shopping, we took it on walks, we took it to the airport, we took it through snow and ice and over gravel, and it did great. The car seat was easy to take in and out of the seat, and our son always seemed comfortable in it. Now that our son is a toddler, we use it most often (in the sit-up stroller mode) for things like the zoo or the mall or long walks, but will still pull it out occasionally for just grocery shopping. It fits in the trunk of our compact car, it folds up pretty easily (though I wish it had a latch or hook or something to keep it fully closed), and it can stand up when folded. The handle feels good in the hand, which is a weird thing to say except I had it in my hands. We also liked the tires more than the other tires on strollers we saw in person. (My husband was very into the stroller comparison.) Only true con is that the cup holder isn’t integrated, it’s snap-on and does pop off in the trunk occasionally.

We have chicco. We couldn't justify the cost of an uppababy or nuna. I did a comprehensive spreadsheet of cost and various features (like fabric, weight, standing and folded dimensions, seat arrangements, one handed fold, etc). We also tried them all in the store. We landed on the keyfit35 corso cleartex system-which i think is currently rebranded as keyfit max. I figured if it didn't work for our purposes we could always upgrade later. (Although money is not a constraint for us, we're generally frugal and try to take this approach with most purchases - i.e., buying the most cost effective product that meets our requirements and upgrade if/when that item fails to meet the need). We live in the suburbs and have *rarely* used our stroller over the past 3 years, so it seems to have been the right decision for us not to invest in something pricier. We're re-using the infant seat for our newborn now, and I do sometimes wish it were a bit lighter, but we make due. ETA: we do babywear a fair amount which may contribute to how little we used the stroller (e.g., we babywear on walks, in stores, and in airports). One of the reasons we went keyfit for the carseat is the ease of install (all carseats on the US market have to meet the same safety requirements, but performance is dependent on the seat being correctly installed. At the time, I think the keyfit was rated at one of the easier infant seats to install)

About to have my second, here are my recs: •Bassinet - firstborn didn't like the one we got. We're going to try the newton for our second, but it is not budget friendly.   Car seat - chicco keyfit. Can buy straight from their website, or from any major retailer.  Stroller - we have the chicco corso cleartex (no chemicals). Incredibly sturdy, half the price of the fancy strollers.  • nursery dresser - we got a $5 dresser at resale, and put a changing table topper on it.  •  baby laundry detergent - tide free and clear. Don't get dreft, it's all marketing and not that great  • Diaper brands - unfortunately brands often changing their formulations, so if it seems like a reliable brand stops working, that could be why. We liked millie moon before my toddler was potty trained. Kudos runs small. Huggies skin essentials and pampers pure are good upgrades of the common brands. Costco used to be good but isn't anymore.  • A diaper rash cream - triple paste  • Baby lotion, soap, and shampoo - aveeno

I did not use our infant car seat on our stroller at all. We had a lay flat stroller (chicco corso), but a bassinet stroller will have the same effect - it's slightly less convenient than a car seat, but way more comfortable and advisable for baby.

Also love the corso, it is very well made, great stability and handling. It doesn't have all the fancy extras, but I personally couldn't justify spending twice as much for all that

I didn't end up getting the mockingbird (I was putting my registry together the month the recall happened), but looked into it extensively. Here are 2 considerations for what I didn't choose it:  - Wheels are less "all terrain" than other strollers. I ended up with the Chicco Corso, which had excellent traction and large wheels. Since I live in a place with a ton of snow and uneven sidewalks, this was important. The wheels are one of the big differences between the Mockingbird and Vista that I've noticed. That said, the wheels are comparable to most strollers, so this might not be an issue for you.  - Single to double strollers are best for 2 kids close in age. The toddler seat on any of these types of strollers gets cramped for toddlers over 3 years old. I knew I wanted a 3 year age gap, so ultimately decided against the mockingbird or vista.  That all said, there are definite pros to the Mockingbird. The bassinet and seat can be put on the higher setting, which is helpful for using stroller at the table or for getting baby higher to see things. There are a lot of accessories, which I don't get with my chicco. And if you have baby #2, even with a cramped seat the option to have a bassinet and toddler seat together is clutch for the first 6 months. So really nothing wrong with keeping the mockingbird, just personal choice!

We just got the Chicco Corso and a wagon. Our kids are 3 years apart. My plan is to babywear the newborn until he is old enough for the wagon

Late to the chat but we had a 2013 Prius C for the first 2 years of our kids life (only car). Chicco keyfit was perfect. We could fit our Chicco Corso, which is pretty similar to the Cruz, in the trunk, but it took up nearly all the space. We could also fit a wagon (graco modes), but it limited our back window visibility. For travel we got a super compact stroller (dream on me coast).

We had the same one and I think the lua flat is just more long term. We used it for my baby up to toddler age as a regular seat. The bassinet attachments are so temporary. We did however use the infant car seat and it's so handy not to move them around when they're that size. IMO you don't need an infant car seat attachment and a bassinet as they are both temporary during the same time frame.

Until I had 2 kids and upgraded to a side-by-side double stroller, I never felt like I needed anything other than my Chicco Corso LE, and I chose it over the UB V2. It might be worth looking into to see if it meets your criteria.

I have never flown with it, but I have done plenty of road trips with it.

100% agree with this! I love the Corso!
