We just got a chicco cortina secondhand and are pretty impressed by it. Didn’t love the chicco bravo for 2, but wanted a chicco for the car seat we already have (no accidents and plenty of life in it from our first).
I could not stomach the price tag of some of the popular brands. We used Chicco keyfit car seats so went all chicco strollers. We got the bravo system for our first, then when our second arrived we got the Cortina double for them both and the keyfit caddy for a minimal car seat only stroller. My favorite is the keyfit caddy. It’s light and maneuverable. Super easy. The cortina is a beast, so pretty annoying, but necessary if you have two. The bravo was a great city stroller with only one.
Chicco Cortina Together 🫶 - reasonable price for a double stroller - can have two car seats, two toddler seats, or 1 of each in either front or back - not a side by side and is VERY slim - the back toddler seat converts into a makeshift bassinet and can also be used as a changing station I’m not going to lie, it’s heavy and bulky. But once you get some practice in unfolding and folding it it can be a quick process. My husband and I have mastered unloading the stroller and our 2 littles in less than a minute! I use it for grocery trips, walks, doctor’s appointments…literally everything.
It handles terrain a lot better than the Bravo, I will say that. It’s heavy, so it feels more like pushing a wagon (or a baby bus as we call it lol) but honestly I kind of prefer that. It feels a little more secure imo? That’s correct, if the car seat is in the back and the toddler is in the front, the toddler cannot recline at all. If our toddler wants to nap we just switch them around so that our baby is in the front. It makes the stroller appear longer, but I’m still able to reach over to the baby just fine. One of the biggest complaints we had in the beginning was how difficult it was to attach the car seat. It took some practice but now it’s such an easy process. Probably my only complaint as of right now is that you can’t really reach into the basket under the seats if the car seat is in the back. We tend to not store anything under there, but if we did the stroller would need to be set up with the car seat in the front so that the basket was accessible.
I have the Chicco Cortina Together Double stroller! Fits the car seat on one end and the toddler seat on the other. When you don’t need the car seat, it turns into a regular toddler seat! It’s great. I love it. I put stroller hooks on them and never have to carry a thing.
I hated mine 😅
I just felt it was super bulky and hard to navigate around tighter spaces. Plus when the car seat was in there I couldn’t see the front of the stroller.
We have a joie Rosemary Lx. I had a chicco cortina and a graco ready 2 grow and absolutely hated the set up of both. Much preferred the side by side
Hi! We have a double stroller, but don't use it daily. The first double we had was the chicco cortina double together stroller. This was fantastic in the essence that I was able to pop my baby's car seat in and out. Loved it for what it did. It was incredibly bulky, but it got the job done and was, for the most part, a smooth push. However, it is not ideal in crowds, and after attending an event in my town and constantly having the front end ran into, we decided we needed a side by side. We now have a side by side jogger style stroller. My youngest is no longer in an infant car seat, so this works so well for us! I can't remember the name, but can check when I get home. It's a smooth push and nowhere near as bulky as the chicco one. It also takes turns a lot easier. My oldest does not like to sit in a stroller (almost 4), and hasn't since before my daughter (almost 2.5) turned 1. Now my daughter is 50/50 if she wants to sit in the stroller with my youngest (almost 1). She enjoys walking with big brother, but her chonky legs make it hard for her to keep up. We hardly use the stroller now (we don't go on a lot of big walks), but we are getting close to not needing the double stroller anymore and mostly use the small umbrella style stroller for the baby if needed. Any errands we run, we use the stores carts to plop everyone in/on. Not sure if this helps or not, but it was our experience.
