I also have this and I have no complaints!
I’m also confused. As a mom of three I guess I can see through all the marketing gimmicks and actually know what you NEED. I love the KeyFit caddy stroller by Chicco. Once baby is sitting upright I just use a cheap umbrella - the kind you can get for $35 at Walmart. I can’t imagine spending $1,000 on a stroller…
I could not stomach the price tag of some of the popular brands. We used Chicco keyfit car seats so went all chicco strollers. We got the bravo system for our first, then when our second arrived we got the Cortina double for them both and the keyfit caddy for a minimal car seat only stroller. My favorite is the keyfit caddy. It’s light and maneuverable. Super easy. The cortina is a beast, so pretty annoying, but necessary if you have two. The bravo was a great city stroller with only one.
My baby is 9 weeks old. Here are the things we have: [Huggies](https://www.target.com/p/huggies-sunshine-pack-diaper-bag-black/-/A-92118189) diaper backpack: lots of storage, easy to wash, unisex, not too expensive. We like it. Chicco Keyfit 30: infant bucket car seat that fared very well in safety ratings. No complaints. Chicco Keyfit Caddy: super lightweight, basic stroller frame for the car seat. We take this in and out of stores, doctors appointments, etc. It is a very simple solution and we like it! Uppababy Cruz with infant insert: this stroller is a dream for walks. I imagine we’ll use it more as she grows. We do not take it in/out of the car unless absolutely necessary, because it is HEAVY. I think we’ll keep all of these things for our next baby. They work well for us, no complaints.
The best stroller for you might actually be two different strollers. We have a Cruz for neighborhood walks and long outings, and a Chicco caddy that lives in our car for quick trips. The Cruz is a great stroller but it weighs almost 25 lbs and takes up my whole trunk. I would hate to travel with it.
Suburban mom here and we have two. One is the barebones Chicco caddy for our Chicco Keyfit car seat. Super lightweight so we leave it in the car, but it will be useless once the baby outgrows her infant car seat. It’s great for grocery runs. We also have a handmedown Uppababy Cruz v1 from a former neighbor, which I bring on long walks or anywhere that needs more stability And then honestly, lately I’ve just been wearing my daughter face-out in our ergobaby embrace carrier. She loves it and I like carrying her that way. I’ve been using the strollers way less because of that.
We are city dwellers without a car and I'm an overthinker and ultimately, we just decided to prioritize portability/weight and ease of use over pretty much everything else (longevity, finding The One Travel System To Rule Them All, build quality, aesthetics, etc). It was just too difficult to accommodate all of the requirements for multiple stages otherwise. We ended up with two car seats and essentially three strollers that have covered most all of our bases from newborn to 2.5yo so far. Hopefully my long rambly thought process can help you figure out if you can shift any of your priorities and make things a little easier... During the infant stage, we just used the Chicco Keyfit 35 + Caddy stroller frame as our regular stroller. Not the sleekest setup but comparable to the Nunas in weight and a lot cheaper. I was able to haul the whole assembly with kid up a flight of stairs, but often just popped baby+seat out of the frame and ran them up separately. The seat is super easy to install just using seatbelts without a base. We got the Zoe Tour v1 (with upgraded wheels and car seat adapter) when we started flying with the kid. We're both tall so we needed something bigger than the super-compact 'fits in an overhead compartment' strollers, and this is our daily driver so we needed a basket that could actually hold things. It's comparable in size and function to the Minu (which I got and returned) but with more plastic parts, it feels a little cheaper but is also significantly lighter. When she outgrew the infant seat, we got a Cosco Scenera Next. It's bulky and barebones but lightweight, I can't imagine hauling anything heavier around town for errands, etc. For travel, we carted it around in a bag for a bit but then someone gave us a gb Pockit. I'd dismissed it originally, but if something happened to ours I'd defintely be repurchasing. The Pockit is flimsy feeling and the basket is non-existant but holy crap when you need a really tiny stroller it is AMAZING. It literally fits in a totebag under an airplane seat! You can finagle it so that the the kid sits in the Scenera while it's strapped to the stroller so that's what we do now for air travel and rideshare errands around town. I've been meaning to figure out the best way to stash/hang the Pockit in the Zoe; we're expecting #2 now, and I think between that and a universal buggy board, we'll be able to avoid the dreaded double stroller. I'm also really excited for the kid to get big enough for a booster/SafeRide vest. \*phew!\*
For me, I’ve realized that I will probably need more than 1 stroller, and that I can always get a different stroller later if the first one annoys me 🙈 this has helped me feel less overwhelmed. So far I’ve opted for a Chicco Caddy (stroller frame for our car seat so it can just snap in) and a Bumbleride Era that will use more heavily as baby gets older. I also wanted something newborn compatible and that can handle tougher terrain, which the Era is. But I knew that requirement would likely be bulky, so I got the Caddy to keep in the car early on since it’s super lightweight and relatively small. I got both of these secondhand. Eventually I’ll also probably get a Chicco Presto (or maybe mini Bravo) for a lightweight option for when we don’t need something all terrain or newborn friendly. Not sure that I have any help on the car seat. I knew immediately we wanted the Chicco Cleartek KeyFit option so that’s all I looked at.
Our girls are 2 months. We have the Snap n Go double stroller for car seats, a single Chicco KeyFit Caddy Frame stroller that goes w/ 1 of our car seats, and then the Mountain Buggy Duet w/ bassinet attachment. We use the snap n go for doctors appointments and mountain buggy for daily walks. Love both double strollers! Not sure how much we’ll use the single. We only used it a few times when our other twin was in NICU for a longer period.
I absolutely love my Chicco keyfit and keyfit caddy!!! I know it’s not for everyone because it doesn’t have a toddler seat but I am out and about all the time and I love how light it is/easy to set up.
We have the chicco click system with carseat and stroller. The carseat was easy to install and move around as needed—even traveled with it and the base. We had the keyfit 30. When my baby outgrew that we got the gracco extend2fit as a replacement for the carseat. Have loved all of them and they go on sales often. :) you do not need all the social media ones—our baby is just as safe and comfy as all the fancy lil Nuna and Doona babies! And he still loves his chicco stroller!!
