So a travel system is what you might like, that’s is what combines carrier and stroller and sometimes bassinet (most have that as something else you can buy though). Being in the city and no car I’d focus on smaller the better. The Doona is going to be your most compact option. Any other stroller/carrier combo is going to end up fairly big and bulky. And don’t get me wrong I loved our Chicco Bravo and really love our mockingbird but in an urban environment could see them being cumbersome.

I have the Chicco Bravo and I love it. It doesn't have any of the issues you just described. Its convenient in every way. My only complaint about it is it is a little heavy, but not enough to make me want something different so it can't be that bad! Lol

We have only one, chicco bravo. It’s full sized and great for all scenarios so far.

I have a Chicco and it’s midrange at best and I wish I had gone with a more expensive one. I live in NYC so it would have been enormously important for maneuverability.

We got a chicco and it’s like $350-$400 for the car seat AND stroller but they run frequent sales and we personally love ours! Swing was less than $100, we just at the moment cannot fathom a $1000 stroller/car seat combo.  Walmart sales, target sales, everything in between. Comparison will forever be the thief of things and I can say my baby will not remember things what stroller

We love our Chicco car seat and stroller (the stroller handles amazingly well and is super easy to fold up/open) and the oxo dispenser is great too!

I have never tried a stroller over $500 but my chicco bravo works great for us. I'm going to add my 2 cents because I didn't see these in the comments. - Is this your first child? If you use the super expensive stroller for multiple children it's going to be more "worth it." When I was pregnant I thought I would have 2 close together but now we have decided to be one and done. So ideal family size might impact how much you want to spend? - I didn't get a bassinet stroller and then I regretted it because I wanted to have baby fall asleep flat in the stroller and sleep safely. So then I bought a cheap bassinet stroller from Amazon that I only used in the house. We would put baby in that and roll around the kitchen getting things done. Of course you could do this with your main stroller but I didn't like the idea of the dirty wheels coming into the house . - People mention secondhand. If you are in the US see if there is a Rhea Lana sale by you.

My toddler is 2.5 and we only have an umbrella stroller that we only use for Disneyland, other than that we just end up pushing an empty stroller around. We got rid of our bulky Chicco stroller soon after she learned to walk. The fact that you have a stroller just for the looks is so ridiculous, especially if you’re scared of dirtying it up. I’ve realized now that kids will somehow gravitate towards the items you hold dearest and break them or mess them up. I say you donate one of the strollers you don’t use as much or list it somewhere if you want some of the money back.

I could not stomach the price tag of some of the popular brands. We used Chicco keyfit car seats so went all chicco strollers. We got the bravo system for our first, then when our second arrived we got the Cortina double for them both and the keyfit caddy for a minimal car seat only stroller. My favorite is the keyfit caddy. It’s light and maneuverable. Super easy. The cortina is a beast, so pretty annoying, but necessary if you have two. The bravo was a great city stroller with only one.

We had the chicco keyfit and loved it! Our daughter had no issue with it. We also got the chicco stroller that the carseat can just click in and out of. Our toddler is almost 3 and we still use the stroller regularly - it’s not too heavy and SUPER easy to set up and collapse. Pregnant with our second and doing the keyfit again.

It depends on your lifestyle for sure! I have the Chicco Bravo stroller which is compatible with the chicco infant carseats and freaking love it. It’s 3 years old now and we only recently stopped using it with our daughter, it’s now going to be used for our second. I had a prolapse postpartum, so there was a long period I couldn’t do baby carrying while I worked on strengthening my pelvic floor. The stroller saved me! I could use it in stores, to run errands, and even to work out at an indoor walking track. I probably would have used it more if my first hadn’t been a winter baby. That being said, you can usually find them pretty affordable on Facebook Marketplace! Buy the car seat brand new, and then see if you can find a compatible stroller second hand.
