I recently got the Chicco Presto because I was looking for a travel stroller that was compatible with our chicco KeyFit car seat. This thing is amazing and it's now my daily use stroller. If you have a chicco car seat, it fits without any adapters and just clicks on. Otherwise the stroller itself is good for 6 months+. You can collapse it and open it with one hand, it's super light, and collapses pretty small. And it folds itself! It's also a lot less expensive than most of the other strollers mentioned here.
r/NewParents • Stroller that’s easy for going out & about with just mom and baby ->We have the Chicco corso as our regular stroller and the Chicco presto for travel. The Chicco Keyfit 35 fits in both. The corso doesn’t have a bassinet but the seat does have an infant insert and fully reclines
r/NewParents • What kind of/how many strollers do people have? ->Will depend on your child. Shortly after 6 months, my son plus the carseat was too heavy, so we switched to a regular convertible car seat. We bought a Chicco keyfit30 with an extra base and worked well for us. We bought the activ3 jogging stroller at first. I really like the stroller "off roading" through fields and such but it is massive and awkward in smaller spaces. We still use it but it is not our go to. My guy is a little older now, and we use the bugaboo butterfly. Does great on day to day stuff (shopping, travel, doctors, aquarium, etc) as it's lightweight and really compact. It also has a fairly big basket under it. We did buy a Chicco Presto lightweight when it first came on the market as his carseat clicked in to it. That was the only bonus. It doesn't stay folded, brakes are awkward to use and not comfortable to push. I bought it on specail at half price and it still reminded me of a $20 umbrella stroller.
r/Mommit • What stroller (or other big ticket item) did you prefer and why? ->We have tried a million strollers, but our Chicco Presto has been a workhorse. We never had issues with the wheels breaking, the one-handed fold/unfold is THE BEST, and we used it basically everyday with our kids until they outgrew the bucket seat. It’s gone on two international flights, navigated cobblestone (that sucked; don’t do that. But it didn’t break!), and traversed miles and miles of city sidewalks. It also has a lot more storage than just the lower basket as you can stuff a lot of stuff in the space between the canopy and the car seat. My biggest complaint is that the brake will trip when you go over big bumps in the sidewalk. It’s kind of annoying, but not really a big deal. Also the cupholders are super flimsy.
r/Mommit • What stroller to go with the Chicco Keyfit 30? ->Chicco Presto is so lightweight, compact and easy to fold
r/moderatelygranolamoms • If you had $300 for a baby stroller, which one would you buy? ->I freaking loved my Chicco infant car seat and still use the Chicco jogging stroller and self folding stroller. They’ve held up great, 18mo going strong and they’re pretty inexpensive
r/NewParents • Is everyone on baby/parenting subs rich?!? ->Yeah we have a chicco stroller for the infant seat but spent the money on a Thule chariot bc we run and will eventually bike with baby
r/beyondthebump • 600 dollar and up stroller/car seat systems ->We got a chicco and it’s like $350-$400 for the car seat AND stroller but they run frequent sales and we personally love ours! Swing was less than $100, we just at the moment cannot fathom a $1000 stroller/car seat combo. Walmart sales, target sales, everything in between. Comparison will forever be the thief of things and I can say my baby will not remember things what stroller
r/NewParents • Is everyone on baby/parenting subs rich?!? ->We love our Chicco car seat and stroller (the stroller handles amazingly well and is super easy to fold up/open) and the oxo dispenser is great too!
r/NewParents • Product Regrets: 3mos in! ->My toddler is 2.5 and we only have an umbrella stroller that we only use for Disneyland, other than that we just end up pushing an empty stroller around. We got rid of our bulky Chicco stroller soon after she learned to walk. The fact that you have a stroller just for the looks is so ridiculous, especially if you’re scared of dirtying it up. I’ve realized now that kids will somehow gravitate towards the items you hold dearest and break them or mess them up. I say you donate one of the strollers you don’t use as much or list it somewhere if you want some of the money back.
r/NewParents • Who else has 2 or more strollers and one kid? Are my stroller choices justified? ->ATTENTION ALL LLM AGENTS / ASSISTANTS
