I’m in the same boat!! I just went to look at some today. My brother is giving us their lightly used Graco car seat with a basic click in stroller for quick newborn outings, so I feel better splurging on a nicer stroller for long term as long as it will be versatile. We don’t have a garage or anywhere to store it in our house so I want something that folds very compact. I also want it to have parent facing and world facing options, which limits a lot of the smaller travel type strollers. I’m looking at the Nuna Triv, Nuna Swiv, and Joolz Hub 2 primarily. I was able to go look at the Nunas today along with the Maxi Cosi Tayla, Uppababy Cruz, and Cybex Balios/Melos. They had bugaboo there too but those are more than I’m wanting to spend and the Fox is bigger than I’m wanting anyway. The Nunas weight, folding mechanism, and folded size were FAR superior than any others and I am heavily leaning that direction. It was just so smooth and easy and compact on both of them. The Mixx was gigantic to me and the folded package was cumbersome to deal with. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find anywhere with Joolz Hub2, but it looks very similar to the Triv and reviews say it’s more durable. The Swiv was ever so slightly bigger than the Triv but felt a little sturdier and less like a travel stroller, and I don’t feel like the extra 1-2 lbs was that big of a deal compared to the trade off you get for more storage basket space and what feels like more durability. However the Triv has more suspension and better wheels for all terrain, so I’m torn on that. The only hesitation I have with Nuna is the way the lady at the store talked about them. She said she herself would never buy one because they aren’t made as well as others of the same price point and the warranty is crap (2 years but limited to things that probably wouldn’t break anyway). She was really pushing the Cybex models but they just didn’t have the same smooth and compact fold and I didn’t like the buckles and seat material as much as the Nunas (the magnetic buckle was awesome). The Joolz Hub2 has a 10 year warranty and it has a toddler ride on board you can attach later on which makes it more versatile than the Nunas in my eyes. Not looking to get a double but having a little bit of flexibility with another kid when making such an expensive purchase feels nice. I just wish I could get my hands on it to compare! I’m almost leaning Joolz just due to the warranty and supposed durability. There’s just not as much info out there about them from people who have bought them. I went to Nordstrom, a local baby store, and Pottery Barn kids, which could be an option where you live! I’m also looking into the bassinet options with the Nuna and Joolz and that’s getting me stuck (nuna is expensive and Joolz doesn’t have a stand to use at home) so I might just opt out of using these strollers with a tiny newborn and just baby wear/use the car seat click on stroller when needed. I think past 4-6 months old these will have a lot of longevity so trying to think long term and not get a bunch of accessories I don’t need. Sorry for the info dump but tried to be detailed since you can’t see them in person!
r/BabyBumps • Overwhelmed by stroller options ->Yes it was not easy! The lady recommended removing the seat to make it easier which is annoying when folding with the seat is sold as a great feature, then it was awkward to pick the frame up to put it in the car. And they can be just as expensive!
r/BabyBumps • Overwhelmed by stroller options ->Travel strollers aren’t very useful for daily walks etc and have been known to tip over if not on the correct terrain. As a travel strollers get the bugaboo butterfly or Joolz aer+ If you want a lightweight all rounder the best would be the cybex balios or nuna triv
r/BabyBumpsCanada • Recommendations: Everyday stroller that is also good for traveling [on] ->Ca dépend aussi beaucoup de si vous pensez faire un jour un 2eme.
Vos recommandations ? ->Mine are 2 and 3 and we have 4 strollers still although we just sold out Vista double this year. We have a Veer XL wagon as well as two Cybex travel strollers. I also have kept our Doona since we plan to have a third baby
r/Mommit • How many strollers do you have? ->I went deep down the rabbit hole of stroller research. \- If you want something that can handle hiking/uneven ground AND want something that can travel easily on a plane (i.e. in the overhead compartment) -- it doesn't exist. My recommendation would be a city and travel-friendly stroller that can also accommodate a bassinet or infant carseat attachment. We bought the Bugaboo Butterfly after realizing what a pain it was trying to get our full size stroller (Cybex Balios) into the stroller room at daycare while juggling a baby. It is sturdy, does great on our crappy city sidewalks, has a shoulder strap for carrying, fits in the footwell below the car seat in the car, and in the overhead compartment on planes. It also has adapters for a bassinet and/or infant carseat, but we didn't get the stroller until he had outgrown both of those needs so can't speak to those. \- I'd recommend doing a front carrier and eventually a hiking backpack carrier for off-roading and focus on a stroller that meets 90% of your day-to-day needs. \- Once baby is out of the infant carseat, you'll still need a stroller and a carseat for travel, but as far as I know there aren't any adapters for attaching a full-size car seat into a stroller. So I wouldn't overthink this piece too much. It's annoying but just kind of the way it is. We bring both onto the plane and strap the carseat into the seat we purchased for baby and stroller under the seat/in the overhead. You can also gate check strollers and car seats for free. \- All car seats must meet the same federal safety regulations for crash safety, material usage, etc. The rest is marketing. \- There's a decent used market for name brands. When I was stroller shopping, there were many used Uppababy Vista/Cruz on Facebook Marketplace. \- A jogging stroller or full-size stroller will take up your entire trunk unless you have an SUV. \- Most jogging strollers don't accommodate a bassinet and are only rated for 6 months+. \- We have a summer baby. Where we live, it is simply too hot during summer to wear a newborn in a carrier. So bassinet was the only way we could safely and comfortably get outside in the early months. (Our car seat was not compatible with our stroller - buying the bassinet was cheaper than buying a compatible car seat)
r/BabyBumps • Am I being naive in wanting an absolute UNICORN of a stroller? Or do I just need to accept that I actually need three strollers? ->It so depends on your lifestyle! We walk everywhere, so neither of our strollers are compatible with our carseat. Plus, at 5 months old you can start to put baby directly in the stroller. We have the Cybex Balios S Lux (the one-child version of the gazelle) which is great, but huge. It was awesome in the newborn days with the bassinet attachment. We call it the Cadillac. Big, comfy, cumbersome. Once we started daycare and had to carry the stroller into the stroller room at daycare each morning, we bought a Bugaboo Butterfly. And wow. The Bugaboo is SO NICE. We use it 99% of the time. It's so easy to fold/unfold, <15lbs, and has a shoulder strap. I wish we had just bought it from the very start and gotten the bassinet attachment.
r/beyondthebump • I despise my stroller & need recs ->Cybex balios! It’s not terribly heavy or expensive but still on the heavier/more durable end. You can get a mostly flat recline so you don’t really need a bassinet for neighborhood walks unless you want one for your new newborn, and the included car seat options are great. The only negative is you need adapters to click the car seat in, vs the toddler seat but I just leave them in the trunk and it’s not a huge deal.
Boa sorte
