We were about to buy Cybex Priam, but decided for Cybex Balios S Lux after seeing this review: https://youtu.be/PXjTYwEyCrA. We are very happy with it! Also I’ve just bought silvercross Nia as we’re going on an extended trip abroad.

I chose my stroller based on my lifestyle. Price was not a factor. I live in the suburbs but take walks regularly to the neighborhood park, and go downtown frequently for restaurants, cafes or just to walk around. I also go to many festivals , that often happen in parks. I also took winter into consideration - my neighbourhood sidewalk is not always plowed well, plus a lot of salt, and they are also not very even. With all of that in mind, I wanted a stroller with good wheels and suspension. That eliminated most lightweight and travel strollers from the options.  I watched many videos from the stroller workshop channel and I thought I wanted the uppababy cruz, but still kept other options in mind (city jogger, nuna mixx, cybex balios s lux, nuna spring) . Then I went to West Coast kids to test them out. I hated both nunas right away. They felt flimsy. They fold easily and are compact, but something about them felt off to me.  Then I tested the uppababy cruz. It felt like an awesome stroller. However, I didn't like the breaks and the fold. It's very bulky, and I have a small car and small home. It felt super awkward to fold and store. That's why I chose the Cybex - it is extremely similar to the uppababy cruz however the fold is much easier and it seems a bit more compact. It felt right for me. I highly recommend making a list of what's important for you (realistically) , note down the models you are interested in and 10000% go to a store and test them in person. If I had bought it online I would not be happy with my choice !

FTM , haven't used the stroller yet but I highly recommend you test in store if you haven't yet. I was convinced I'd choose between Uppababy Cruz and Nuna Mixx, and I'm glad I could test both: \- I hated the Nuna right from the start \- I liked the Uppababy Cruz however I was very uncomfortable with the fold. I did not like it at all. It felt too complicated and too bulky , I'm short, clumsy and have limited space in my car and my home. That said I ended up with the Cybex Balios S Lux. It is very similar to the Uppababy, however the fold is much easier and it felt more compact. It rides smoothly as well. I did not test the Gazelle , but I am happy with the quality of Cybex strollers in general. I'm looking into buying one of their car seats

I went deep down the rabbit hole of stroller research. \- If you want something that can handle hiking/uneven ground AND want something that can travel easily on a plane (i.e. in the overhead compartment) -- it doesn't exist. My recommendation would be a city and travel-friendly stroller that can also accommodate a bassinet or infant carseat attachment. We bought the Bugaboo Butterfly after realizing what a pain it was trying to get our full size stroller (Cybex Balios) into the stroller room at daycare while juggling a baby. It is sturdy, does great on our crappy city sidewalks, has a shoulder strap for carrying, fits in the footwell below the car seat in the car, and in the overhead compartment on planes. It also has adapters for a bassinet and/or infant carseat, but we didn't get the stroller until he had outgrown both of those needs so can't speak to those. \- I'd recommend doing a front carrier and eventually a hiking backpack carrier for off-roading and focus on a stroller that meets 90% of your day-to-day needs. \- Once baby is out of the infant carseat, you'll still need a stroller and a carseat for travel, but as far as I know there aren't any adapters for attaching a full-size car seat into a stroller. So I wouldn't overthink this piece too much. It's annoying but just kind of the way it is. We bring both onto the plane and strap the carseat into the seat we purchased for baby and stroller under the seat/in the overhead. You can also gate check strollers and car seats for free. \- All car seats must meet the same federal safety regulations for crash safety, material usage, etc. The rest is marketing. \- There's a decent used market for name brands. When I was stroller shopping, there were many used Uppababy Vista/Cruz on Facebook Marketplace. \- A jogging stroller or full-size stroller will take up your entire trunk unless you have an SUV. \- Most jogging strollers don't accommodate a bassinet and are only rated for 6 months+. \- We have a summer baby. Where we live, it is simply too hot during summer to wear a newborn in a carrier. So bassinet was the only way we could safely and comfortably get outside in the early months. (Our car seat was not compatible with our stroller - buying the bassinet was cheaper than buying a compatible car seat)

It so depends on your lifestyle! We walk everywhere, so neither of our strollers are compatible with our carseat. Plus, at 5 months old you can start to put baby directly in the stroller. We have the Cybex Balios S Lux (the one-child version of the gazelle) which is great, but huge. It was awesome in the newborn days with the bassinet attachment. We call it the Cadillac. Big, comfy, cumbersome. Once we started daycare and had to carry the stroller into the stroller room at daycare each morning, we bought a Bugaboo Butterfly. And wow. The Bugaboo is SO NICE. We use it 99% of the time. It's so easy to fold/unfold, <15lbs, and has a shoulder strap. I wish we had just bought it from the very start and gotten the bassinet attachment.

I have a June baby. It was simply too hot to baby wear! The bassinet attachment was wonderful. I walked at least 2 of his naps a day my entire leave! One thing I didn’t appreciate until baby was here - I could remove the bassinet attachment from the stroller to carry our sleeping baby inside. We also used the bassinet attachment in our living room as a sleeping/safe space. If doing this I recommend validating that your bassinet is “sleep safe”. We had the Cybex Balios Lux S - the single seater version of the Gazelle. It was great for the newborn period! Full sized strollers take up so much space and we switched to a Bugaboo Butterfly at 5 months.

Cybex balios! It’s not terribly heavy or expensive but still on the heavier/more durable end. You can get a mostly flat recline so you don’t really need a bassinet for neighborhood walks unless you want one for your new newborn, and the included car seat options are great. The only negative is you need adapters to click the car seat in, vs the toddler seat but I just leave them in the trunk and it’s not a huge deal.

We have the Graco Modes Element Myles travel system. I hate it. The peekaboo window isnt magnetic or velcroed so it flaps along with the wind during walks. It also doesn’t do well on uneven sidewalks, grass or curbs. I ended up purchasing a Cybex Balios for our long walks and an Ergobaby Metro+ for travel which I am both obsessed with!
