Go in store to test out several strollers. Reviews will always be mixed since everyone has their own preference. Tip: make sure you have enough room in your trunk and you can lift the stroller into the car yourself! if you’re planning on having two kids, you should look into strollers that can convert into two seats. I’m very happy with my Cybex EOS travel system. It’s on the lighter side since I’m weak LOL
I went with the CYBEX EOS Lux Travel System and I’m really happy with it. I loved how easy it is to fold and how lightweight and compact it is. It worked perfectly with our infant car seat (we chose the Cloud Q), and I liked that this car seat was compatible and we could use the lie-flat feature when our baby was smaller. The stroller system comes with a bassinet, a regular seat that can face forward or backward, and a rain cover. The seat has three recline positions, which keeps baby super comfy, and the extended sunshade is great for coverage. It’s been great on all kinds of terrain so far, and it’s super easy to push and steer, especially with the 360° front wheels. I can literally push it with one hand! The bottom basket is roomy and even expandable if you pull the fabric out, and it holds up to 11 pounds, which is really nice. The handlebar is covered in leather and adjusts in height and angle, which I love. The only thing it’s missing is a snack tray or a spot to put your phone but for me this wasn’t something I cared for in a stroller. I actually like the minimalism but can always add these as accessories if needed. I’ve been using it since my baby was born (he’s 10 months now), and I honestly haven’t found anything I don’t like about this travel system.
i feel like it depends on if you’ll be using a stroller a lot when your baby is young. that said, we have a Cybex Eos; the carriage part can convert into a bassinet, so no extra attachment per se. we take a lot of walks with our baby so we definitely feel it’s worth it for us! and in a pinch, it also works as a change table when we’re out and about 😂 i was also looking into the Mompush Lithe V2, which also has a carriage that can convert into a bassinet. it’s a travel stroller so it’s much more compact, but my husband really wanted the Cybex.
I know you didn’t ask but I was between these 2 travel systems and the Cybex Eos. I ended up going with the Cybex due to the quality & price point. So far, I love it - easy to handle & folds nicely, like the lay flat option without needing to have another bassinet attachment, has handled snow-dusted sidewalks well (obviously not deep snow). Just sharing another option for you to consider that I feel is in between the uppababy & maxi-cosi.
Is it possible for you to try some strollers out in store to see what you like? This is a very personal decision. I am on my third and only stroller, the Cybex libelle. Yes it’s a “travel” stroller but I highly recommend it even for every day use. It works well even on uneven sidewalks in a metro area. It’s compatible with the car seat for when they’re newborns. Some people say the car seat is bad for them. Unless you’re walking for several hours it is not a big deal to use the car seat for an hour or two just like you would in the car. My daughter HATED the bassinet. She just didn’t want to lie down flat because of her reflux. Basically, if I did it over I would have not wasted my time and stress on trying to make those two full size strollers work for me. A lot of people like them. But they didn’t suit my lifestyle. The libelle probably has the most compact fold on the market I believe. It’s SO portable. My first was the Eos lux…I almost didn’t buy libelle because I hated that stroller so much. Impossible to fold!
I got the Cybex full size stroller and used it one day. I completely regretted it. Sold it for a travel stroller but lost some money…never again with the full size.
We are using Cybex for our 3.5 months and it’s been amazing so far. We bought the 4-in-1 pack and it’s been amazing. Really handy and the quality is there. Highly recommend!
Go to Babylist to see what you like BUT buy from Facebook Marketplace. So much cheaper as people decide they don’t like the stroller and want a new one/their kids grow out of their stroller. I got a full cybex set with bassinet, car seat and stroller seat for 50$ because the family was rich and they didn’t like that it was scratched from all their travels with it. It works like a dream and saved us like $900+. You may have to drive to the more bougie areas of LA for similar brands but it’s worth it!
Mine are 2 and 3 and we have 4 strollers still although we just sold out Vista double this year. We have a Veer XL wagon as well as two Cybex travel strollers. I also have kept our Doona since we plan to have a third baby
I HIGHLY recommend the Cybex travel system. The Balios is a bit more affordable which I love. And they don't require the adapters like most of them do, even Nuna. They are also compatible with a bassinet which is not an expensive add on.
Are you considering more than one kid? We initially had a hand me down peg perego system that we loved but it got damaged on a flight and we got reimbursed its original price. We chose the cybex over the uppababy as our replacement because both seats can hold up to 50lbs
